We were seated inside on a weekday night pretty quickly; predictably, the outdoor seating was full. Started off with the chips and guac and the lobster bacon street corn. Both were amazing--don't miss the street corn. I got the fried shrimp and chicken tacos, and my partner got the al pastor and fried cod. Normally we try each other's orders, but apparently the al pastor was so good he ate the whole thing before remembering that I hadn't had any . . . so I guess it must've been pretty good. He said the cod one wasn't as good. I think I actually prefer the fried shrimp to the chicken taco. Food came out extremely quickly. We had some leftover chips after the guac, so we took them home, and they were still crispy the next day. The only way it could've been better was if they had horchata. A nice bar with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It has a very extensive beer and cocktail list, plus some good options for food. I had the guac and chips. As always, there is never enough guac. But that is everywhere. The drinks here are good. I ordered a tequila-based cocktail (Pinky Promise $11) and really enjoyed it. I'd consider to re-visit this place in the future. 2 Tacos ($10): I chose fried shrimp and pulled pork Half Street Corn off the Cob ($5) Every time I'm on the #1 bus to newbury, I always passed by this place and thought their outside patio cute so I'm glad I finally got to try it! These tacos are definitely on the expensive side but I actually found it to be worth it. They make the tortillas in house and I love the texture of them. They also do not skimp on the meat and the toppings. The toppings that are chose for each filling complemented the meat really well. It brought freshness and lightness to the meat! I also asked for hot sauce on the side and I have no idea what brand it was but it tasted really good! It wasn't too tangy and had an enjoyable amount of heat and flavor. The elotes were actually really good too! Even for a half portion, I shared it with a friend. The mayo/aioli wasn't overwhelming nor heavy, the corn had a nice char/smoky flavor to it, and had a good amount of cotija. Good Mexican food with spacious outdoor seating! I came in a group of six and had a fun time. We ordered a pitcher of white sangria and a pitcher of summer reign. Both drinks were good, but the summer reign was incredibly sweet... Unfortunately I didn't receive a water refill during my entire two hours at the table. Individually, I ordered three fried shrimp tacos and they were fine. The tortillas weren't my favorite, but the shrimp was delicious. (Beware that the chipotle aioli is pretty spicy!) I enjoyed it but didn't expect the stronger than normal tang. Overall, this is a nice place to come for mood lighting on a summer night. We stopped at Trillium Brewery for a beer and had to order food to be able to drink and this Naco Taco truck was there. We decided to do the 2 taco combo with the Bistec Taco and the Cochinita Taco. Both tacos were put on homemade corn tortillas that were delicious and held up well. The Bistec Taco was really good! The flavors all blended well and it was topped with Cotija cheese which is my favorite! The Cochinita Taco was good but it wasn't great.. I think it definitely needed more sauce because the bites with the sauce were really yummy but without it the pork was a little flavorless. I tried every taco they had on the menu except the seafood-based ones and the smoked tofu taco (too dry and plain). Aside from the bistec and chorizo tacos, I really enjoyed the Al Pastor taco! The Al Pastor taco consisted of charbroiled pork & pineapple with onion and cilantro. If you like sweet and savory stuff, you'd like this one! They seem to really specialize in tacos though, because we went as a group of 7 and one of us ordered a torta, and they completely forgot to order/bring it to the table. Delicious and good portions! We've come here many times and it's never disappointed. The tacos are tasty and of good size, and the margaritas and sangrias are incredible. My favorite tacos are the duck, egg, and al pastor tacos (I'll get two usually and three when really hungry, the portion sizes are way better than usual hip taco joints). This is my second time here and really enjoyed the food. The first time I went it was in the summer. They have outdoor seating with really nice ambiance. This time around sat inside. Got there and was seated right away. Our waiter was friendly and open to giving recommendations. We ordered the street corn-half $5 and quac and chips $8 to start and the fish and shrimp tacos, $5 each. Everything that came out was delicious and tasted fresh. My only negative comment is about the house mag. Didn't feel it was strong. I will say it was alright, could be better. I had a great spicy brunch experience here. Vibe/atmosphere: A friend and I sat at the bar. I loved the industrial vs grimey mexicana avant garde decour. Very (dirty) hipster but totes fine with that for me. Very casual, walked right in and able to go to the bar. Service: Service was good there with fairly attentive staff early on a snowy Saturday. Staff was friendly and gave good tips on the menu when asked. Food: I had the pig's head torta after reading some of the reviews with concern for taco size. The torta (pictured) was massive and completely filling. Beware the pig's blood in the sauce and bacon and real pig's head meat here -- not for the faint of heart -- but in reality, if you didn't read what was on here, you'd likely think it was a pulled pork sandwich with bacon and some au jus. READ: no congealed or thick blood. My friend had the chilaquiles which was fairly good but not the best he's had. Drinks: The blood marias were fairly good -- pretty spicey -- and the beer list was the real winner here. Lots of good pics and microbrews on tap and even some more rare brews in bottle and can. Price: Fairly decent for the area and considering we were full and had two beers each with tip the price came out to be about $55. Not cheap but not terribly expensive. There's certainly cheaper mex fare but you could also get away pretty inexpensively here if you didn't booze it up and ordered just two tacos. read more

The tacos are also delicious, especially the fish taco. Lamb tacos! Lamb, tacos! There's lamb in the tacos! Yea I loved the lamb shoulder tacos. Hard. We rolled in with a big group and good our food relatively quickly after we fully assembled. Tacos were very quick. Lamb was superb and the al pastor taco was fine. The non-taco items may take more time to prepare so consider yourself warned! Also, the salsa and guacamole are great. Nice solid chunks of avocado in there. I only had one drink, the jalapeno margarita. It was just the right level of spicy and I would have had another if I had more time. Was craving Mexican food so bad and this place was recommended to me. I also saw it on Tik Tok and knew I had to try it. We made a reservation for the same day online which was nice and easy. We wanted to sit outside on their front patio but it was full so we sat inside which was nice too and had a cool atmosphere. We ordered the spicy margarita, chicken taco, fried shrimp taco, and chips and guac. It was all delicious but the shrimp taco was absolutely delicious, I'm still thinking about it today. First time dining here, and I have to say I think it'll be my last. Odd flavors in the Yuca & Chicharron starter ($9), which was EXTREMELY salty and heavily seasoned with unknown ingredients to the point where I could not distinguish if the seasoning was excess salt or excess sour/chili. The table next to us had ordered this dish, and it looked appetizing so we got the same. And while the menu lists a mere 4 ingredients, it was a deep-fried concoction that was hard to chew (the "bacon" is actually deep-fried pork belly bits that were near-darn fried to a crisp) and very difficult to finish in one sitting. The "pequin (chili) aioli" had a slight spicy ting, but it was the dry rub tossed all over the yuca, arugula, and pork that really threw us off. Our waiter wasn't even around to check in with. I got a headache immediately after eating the food. The other item we chose was the Pepito (steak) torta, which while better than the starter, was kind of plain and kinda pricey for a sandwich ($13). Menu also claims it comes with crispy mushrooms, but we did not taste them. I usually don't drink a whole glass of water when I dine out, but we had to in order to combat the grossly salty food. Why dear God do restaurants think that when they deep fry food, the food will automatically taste good?! This is not the case people! First mistake was listening to my husband and coming here. Second mistake was ordering the yucca and chicarrones, which was just a deep fried mess of yucca and large bacon slab chunks topped with gobs of mayo (so disgusting). I ordered: -fried shrimp taco - 4 stars -fish taco - 2 stars (tasted like bland nothing) -yucca and chicarrones - 2 stars -picante margarita - 3 stars (tasted like mildly spicy margarita bag mix) I've sampled friend's tacos here before and they have been decent. I suggest ordering the chicken tacos or pork tacos. Came here for a last-minute takeout dinner when other plans fell through. Menu is on the pricier side and food isn't the pinnacle. It's not the type of place you'd recommend to a foodie friend. But the location is convenient, the vibes are great, and the food is tasty. Can be very busy on the weekends -- people make reservations for outdoor seating, so don't expect to find a spot outside without making arrangements beforehand. Yelp says this place has vegan options, but in actuality they are very very limited (as in, only vegan if you remove a lot of ingredients and the sauce). The salads were also pretty good and substantial, especially the cobb. This will likely remain a back-up option for us. read more

However, coming during lunch time in the middle of December didn't have the same vibe. I was a bit underwhelmed with my experience here. The best part about Naco Taco are their appetizers. The street corn is to die for, and they serve it off the cob. It has a lot of seasoning and a lot of cheese on it, 10/10. We also really enjoyed the guacamole as well. It's a fairly large portion size and the guac is awesome! It's very heavy on the lime. The tacos aren't the most amazing thing in the entire world. The meat to topping ratio is off and a lot of them don't come with cheese on top. I ordered the chicken (which had hint of BBQ flavors) and the chorizo. The tacos are pretty large but there is too much meat on the inside. I'd be willing to give this place another try during the summer, but don't feel a strong desire to come back for a while. read more

I've been to Naco Taco twice and have had very hit-or-miss experiences with their food options. I love their fried shrimp, fish, and al pastor tacos, but their chicken and especially chorizo simply did not taste good. I think you really have to be careful with what you order here. The naked burrito and chips with guac were solid options as well. The vibe of the restaurant is great. I love the outdoor seating and the fact that it stays open late. It's a great place to come with friends and have a drink or hang out. Unfortunately, I think the service is on the slow side. I found myself waiting often to get the bill or to pay. I would say this place is more of a 3.5 but I'm giving it a 4 once you know what to order off their menu. read more

I made reservations a couple weeks ago for a table outside since they were advertising all their heat lamps, only to find out that they may have heat lamps but can't guarantee propane. So, we sat outside in the cold, and the host didn't really seem to think that was a problem or that she should apologize. What made things worse, was that about 15 minutes later, another table was seated and their server made sure they had a lit heat lamp. Besides the cold, the food was ok and the margaritas were tasty. I thought the prices here were fair, and the ingredients seemed both interesting and of high-ish quality. The vegan taco was delicious, although it was just a bit too spicy. The tortilla chips were great and there were a lot of folded-over ones, which are my favorite. I liked the guacamole but I wasn't head-over-heels. The pico was cut a little too large to be easily scooped by the chips without some falling. My girlfriend and I went to the Cambridge Naco Taco after being regulars at the truck on newbury. I can sadly say it was extremely disappointing in comparison to the Newbury truck. I got my regular at the truck, the pepito, and it was terrible. The shredded beef had a horrible taste to it, nothing in comparison to how the truck makes it. Also please read the menu carefully if you are used to the truck, because I had a bit of a shock when I bit into my torta and tasted mustard. My girlfriend also got her regular, a taco bowl with guac, and she admitted even the guac tasted spoiled and as a result she couldn't finish her food.
