Perfect spot in middle of Harvard - to catch up with friends, quick gathering or even for a quick date. The place is usually packed with moving crowd, the food is great with faster service. Hard to get a table on a packed day, I would recommend to grab the food and seat outside the premises on a nice sunny day if you didn't find a table.

Viva la Mexico ! If you're planning to visit Harvard Square please stop into Felipe's as this place was so good we went back the next day. It's loud , it's busy but it's GOOD. It's about $15-25 per person depending on what you order. I had the super quesadilla and a Mexican Coke the first time and then a mini ( it's still huge ) quesadilla with tons of toppings , a Mexican Coke and flan the second time and it was about $27. Seating is first come first serve and it's super loud and busy no matter what day of the week but it's worth it. I don't recommend if you are with small kids or strollers because of the seating as they have a second floor seating area and roof top area that would make it hard to carry food and kids since there are no trays. My next trip , this will be a first stop for sure!

I think Anna's is still number one for me, but Felipe's food is pretty delicious! I love their burritos and how many different ways you can customize them. You can't beat the prices for the amount of food you get. Such a Boston area staple!

Felipe's is a perfect spot in the midst of the Cambridge/Harvard area. We enjoyed the rooftop for a late afternoon lunch and the sun was shining beautifully. We also tried the dip trio and everything was so good. My quesadilla was perfect and I loved how customizable it was. It's an elevated build your own experience that doesn't break the bank. I recommend it for anyone looking for a delicious meal!

Classic and comforting. You know they'll do it right every time and always know what to expect. The place you can never go wrong with. Prices are competitive and affordable when compared to the chains with similar offerings. Always busy but fast service, workers keeping the place clean, and attentive bartenders. Don't know what you want to eat? Felipe's.

During a recent visit to Boston and a side trip to Harvard, we found ourselves hungry for lunch. After visiting a couple of Harvard book stores we ran across Felipe's Taqueria and, like magic, we found ourselves inside. Felipe's is kind of like QDoba, Chipotle, and Moe's, but better and on steroids. There's not one food line, there are TWO food lines that work from opposite ends of the restaurant to the center. First you chose what you want (burrito, bowl, etc) and add your ingredients as you go down the line. These food preparers are Master Class, adding your ingredients with amazing speed. Before you know it you're at the point where you pay and get your drinks. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, so it was hell-on-wheels busy, but this team was hustling 100%. The customer flow was constant and this place was slammin'. The seating accommodations are mixed, with tables and high-tops on the first floor, then an additional seating area on floor up. For those who want something more than your typical soft drink or soda, there's also a bar towards the back of the establishment. The décor is subtle but well suited, not over-doing anything so it look gaudy. The food, while put together with amazing speed, was absolutely, 100% delicious. If there was a Felipe's close to home I know where a good share of my dining-out money would go. Amazing variety, countless options, colorful surrounding, and a fun place to visit.

Fun vibes and great value. Felipes is always super crowded and for a good reason. Their food is tasty and at a great price. If you're a burrito lover, I'd recommend trying their quesadilla sometime -- it's basically the burrito but you have a toasty tortilla with ooey gooey cheese! They also have a rooftop bar, a perfect spot to enjoy frozen margs and nice weather with friends.

I've been to Felipe's Taqueira a couple of times in my trips to Boston and each time it's been a fairly solid experience. In my most recent trip this summer, I got a steak burrito with some guacamole and chips and a Horchata. All were fairly tasty and I would recommend. Generally when I get casual Mexican food, I usually get it from a truck instead of Chipotle to get a more authentic taste but Felipe's definitely suffices and hits the mark. My order was processed fairly quickly. There was plenty of seating at the space, which is fairly no frills and low key.

okay food quality was good. i got the mini quesadilla, although... it was more of a taco since they just rolled it up. the staff could be friendlier but the atmosphere is a bit chaotic so i get it. lots of seating available; you are to order first then find seating

Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Your better than average fast food option for burritos, tacos, and more! Food is fresh and they have many options. I personally love their steak quesadillas but my friends usually get their burrito. It's always packed in here as it's situated in the heart of Harvard Sq. Sometimes you have to walk around and wait for a table. You'll find this is a popular spot amongst college students--especially late at night. There are two lines to order, one at each side of the counter and lines move pretty quick. Plus there is a bar on the first floor and a rooftop bar as well. Seating spans on both the 1st and 2nd floor. If you visit Cambridge you gotta try this place.

Roasted veggie bowl with avocado, chicken bowl and mango habanero wings.

Super popular place near Harvard square and recommended to me by two different friends. There was a line but it moved quickly. It was bustling on a Thursday night. I got the roasted veggies bowl and my friend got the chicken bowl, both were tasty and had good portions. They came with hot corn tortillas which I really liked and the salsa was self serve. We also got their new mango habanero wings, which my friend was not a fan, and I didn't think much of. Even though it was really busy, there was a lot of space. We found a spot on the second floor then came downstairs to get their frozen margaritas. These were stronger than I expected and we tried prickly peach, strawberry and passion fruit. They add different flavours on the frozen margarita base and I liked the passion fruit while my friend liked the strawberry. Tasty food and frozen margaritas with good value near Harvard square.

Mexican quick food of all types very affordable & on campus by Harvard Square full of college students good service, lively upbeat ambiance. The margaritas are prepared at the bar from a frozen pre mixed tequila machine also excellent tasting $9. A really good experience, recommend. 4.5 stars

I wouldn't say the food is particularly good or bad but I think the most drawing factor is the ambiance. A great place to grab a quick/cheap meal with friends and socialize! The rooftop is a lot of fun during the summer

Is Felipe's crowded at lunch time on cinco de mayo?

Hi Allison, they are crowded every day at lunch and with the extra gusto of Cinco de Mayo, it's sure to be a happening place.

Gluten free options?

They have corn tortillas which are gluten free/most toppings are! Possibly cross-contamination risk

Are there any other liquors besides tequila and beer?

Yes they have small varieties of scotch liqueurs other hard core drinks but emphasis is tequila martinis beer. No complaints of From… Read more

The business is sort of in a house? It was small and kind of dark inside. It was definitely an interesting experience,,, The appetizer was reallyyy good, I forgot the name though... The mole however, was not very good. The mole was liquidy and the chicken was dry. Overall, I think this place is more for fun busy nights where you just drink and apps. I'd like to come again when its busier and we aren't the only customers.

We started off with two drinks- a frozen mangonada and this passion fruit drink. They were both solid but I liked the mangonada better because the passion fruit cocktail had too much pulp in it! For food, we started off with chips and guac. This guac was some of the best I've had. It was super fresh and you could tell exactly what ingredients they used. We also their pork ribs! The ribs fell off the bone and I loved the warm sauce except it was a tiny bit dry. The sauce was reminiscent of an umami bbq sauce. We decided to try their zucchini dish, as recommended by the manager! I don't love zucchini usually but I liked it. It was roasted with cheese, sauces, and some shrimp. Very creative, Lastly we got the tuna ceviche of the day. I didn't really like this because it was really heavy on the dill. I think it would've been good without it. However the presentation was gorgeous and it came with plantains. Overall the vibes are superb here for a date, girls night, or whatever!!

We ordered the following: - fish tacos (3) - flavor wise this fell flat for me. No punch of seasoning to the fish personally. - Birria tacos combo - fire combo. I just love birria style tacos. Highlight for me hot and well cooked beef, tender. - Birria chimichanga (2) this is hefty, i thought this was a good chimichanga, i would probably ask for extra sauce next go around, it got a bit dry without it. - carne asada enchiladas, the lady enjoyed this, carne was moist and tender. - pork belly & yuca loved the pork belly originally thought it was more like a chicharron dish but enjoyed this style , the yuca wasn't my jam. - tajin elote (2) love tajin elotes so no complaints! - churro espresso Great spot, great service.

Plus they had other options, including tostadas, bowls, tamales, burritos, you name it. When we arrived, there were people inside eating. We stopped to look at the menu before ordering, and were greeted by a very friendly man who made the experience more enjoyable. I ordered a tostada with steak, onions, cilantro, a little sour cream, green verde sauce, lettuce, and refried beans. It was my first time trying one so so was really excited. I also ordered two cheese pupusas, which I ended up taking to go with me. My boyfriend ordered a bowl with chicken and various toppings. My tostada was delicious. The crunchy tortilla paired with fresh steak and all the juices from the onion and cilantro paired so nicely together. The ingredients seemed very fresh. We were gonna take this to go, but we decided to dine in. The same gentleman ended up checking in on us half way through the meal to see how we were doing. I thought this was really nice. His name is Chef Noe and he was telling us that he is the head chef for this restaurant. He was glad we enjoyed our meal and it was a pleasure talking to him. Overall I think the spot is well placed as it is right near Leslie university in Harvard so I think it's a good spot for students to come or if you're local like us. It's quick but it has quality. Its fast food but it's fresh. That's what I liked about it. It's all prepared in house and the flavors are great. The decor is also cute inside, very colorful and I thought it was creative that they up-cycled Jarittos bottles into flower vases. Definitely check out the spot when you're in Cambridge and you won't be disappointed.

I really need to remember to look online before choosing my order in the future (or so I thought). While the tacos still look incredible (especially the birria ones), the torta was surprisingly great as well. The sandwich is jam packed with ingredients and really well balanced. The beef was juicy and tender, and the veggies added a really nice balance of spice (jalapenos), freshness (onions, lettuce, and tomatoes), and richness (cheese and avocadoes). The refried beans were a pleasant surprise as well, adding really good moisture and flavor to the overall bite. And including avocado on the torta for no extra cost really is what put this above and beyond to a 5/5 - the avocado was ripe and had just the right amount of it to add that rich and fatty element without being too slippery and making it hard to eat. The fries, on the other hand, were a bit soggy and thick for my liking. I had seen another photo on Yelp where they looked a lot crispier and were shaped differently, so not sure if I just got unlucky, but the sandwich more than made up for the fries in this case. I really can't say enough positive things about the torta. And even though the torta was fantastic and I gave it a 5/5, I definitely want to come back for those tacos. Three tacos plus rice for $18 is a pretty great deal, and the tacos really look incredible. My partner ordered a tongue, al pastor, and fish taco and while I didn't try them, they looked and smelled incredible. We will definitely be back!
