Naf Naf Grill has been a lifesaver during the Covid-19 period. I'm thankful they were open for drive up and pick up and now open for dine in as well. Jesus and his team are phenomenal. For those of you who have actually been to the Middle East and had actual shawarma, you would know that this IS authentic. They don't have the ground lamb/beef you are all used to in the US. They have actual stacked, unprocessed meats. And yes the beef is actually beef and lamb stacked. The salad is authentic, as is the hummus and falafel. I was just in Israel this past summer and this food was like coming home for me. Because it is authentic. Granted, the amount of meat you get is a little in the light side, could be bigger portions. Ok, I have to admit people here are nice and service is fast but food is not good. I'm sorry, how do you call yourself middle eastern? Almost all authentic middle eastern restaurants I've been to have Gyro meat on their menu. They try and make this place like a middle eastern chipotle. You choose your sides. Very limited menu. The steak swarma meat I had on my pita tasted like it has curry on it. I'm not a big fan. Wasn't what I am used to. Pickled onions? Pickles? Hmmm... unusual. No cucumber sauce. Next time I want middle eastern food, I'll make my extra drive to Central Avenue where there is Holy Land and The Marina. This place is also a little over priced. Nothing special. I would ignore the two reviews comparing it to Chipotle and the other wanting gyro and cucumber sauce (those are typically a Greek dishes). I thought the portions were more than adequate and despite some thinking Middle Eastern food is like Greek, this place is really good. This place may struggle because it is different and there are so few Persian type restaurants in MN, but it is very good. Go to any Persian restaurant and you will see a limited menu like this. The rice was well prepared, the falafel was above average and both chicken and steak shawarma was tasty and the hummus was very good. I am not going to say it is as good of Persian restaurants that I have eaten at in NY and CA, but for MN this place is awesome. I hope it does very well so we finally have a decent healthy option that is somewhat ethnic and different. read more

I'm going through withdrawals! I moved to AZ a couple of days ago and might just have to move back to Maple Grove... that is how good Naf Naf is there! Our family would eat there at least once a week. What I would get is the bowl with baba ganoush and falafel with all the garnishings except onions. The garlic sauce is amazing on it and also use the sauce to dip your must-have fries in. I haven't saw many people talk about their lentil soup... but, again, it's addicting. Delightful first experience. Many thanks to Jay, who helped us navigate through our menu choices, even providing samples to help us make a decision. We each got a bowl with a pita and split one order of fries between the two of us, PLENTY of food for a reasonable price. Our food was tasty and the fries were steaming HOT - yum! We would have liked it if the bread was warm, too, but it was soft and fresh. As someone who likes spicy food, I was surprised by the heat in the 2nd hottest sauce. Wouldn't have wanted the spiciest. Bathrooms clean, but consider adding a shelf or someplace for a purse - hate to put it on the floor. Thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch and will definitely head back in the future when traveling through the Minneapolis area. read more

Delicious! I was hesitant to try it out because I'm not very adventurous with my food choices, but I'm so glad I tried it! They just added a couscous bowl to their menu. I highly recommend the couscous bowl with falafel, cucumber salad, and the garlic mayo sauce. The pitas are soft and fluffy and come with every bowl for free. Had the shawarma with steak, salad, hummus and the garlic mayo with Tahini sauce. I wouldn't get the rice again, just felt it took away from fresh flavors but that's just me. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I was pretty disappointed in this place. Firstly, the amount of meat that they give you per serving very small. The sauces didn't taste very good. Everything seems pretty American-style. For some dishes, they charge an extra 1.50 cents for hummus but you don't know that until you've already bought the bowl and are on your way. The fries were about the only redeeming thing on the menu, those were at least tasty. Hopefully they decide to change a few things. Crossing fingers! read more

Portions are what you would expect, carb heavy. +\- $10 a meal. If you dine in, an employee might inquire to your experience so don't be alarmed if they approach you.
