[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good food and good location![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not much left in marketplace in San Ramon so was happy to see this place finally re-opened after pandemic. Service was fast, the staff is friendly and the sushi is delicious.... What else can I ask for?!!

Me with the sushi Sashimi Lovers boat

Came here recently with one of my friends cause we were craving sushi. We had always wanted a sushi boat and we had noticed they offered the sashimi lovers which comes on a boat with delicious sashimi on it. So we were all in! We happened to come right at opening time at 5 and quickly the restaurant was filling up shortly after. The people working here were so kind and helped us right away. It came with complimentary soup and salad which were also very tasty and they brought it out quick! We also ordered some edamame and it had a garlic added on which was tasty. The sashimi lovers boat came out quick too! It was filling, we probably could have skipped the edamame and still been full between the two of us but we were happy we got it. The sashimi was very fresh and tasted amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of tables, clean and modern atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We really enjoyed it and would love to come back again. I'm not sure why the overall rating is only 3.5 or so because it was such a great spot and deserves a higher rating, they get a 5 from us! Definitely check them out if your craving sushi in the area.

    Sushi Set B Lunch Special

Good service experience, and the food was mediocre. The husband and I decided to check out this plaza in San Ramon and we stopped by Sachi Sushi for lunch to try something new. There's a good amount of seating indoors, and we didn't see any outdoor seating. We got seated quickly and were given our waters and menu quickly as well. We ordered the following - Bento - with chicken katsu and beef. It comes with rice, miso soup, and salad. This one looked nice and it tasted decent. The foods within it didn't stand out, but it wasn't terrible. Sushi Set B - comes with the daily roll - they called it a poki roll or something along the lines, and it was supposed to be a bit spicy, but it was rather bland, mostly with rice flavor. It also comes with several pieces of nigiri - tuna, salmon, shrimp, and a couple lighter pieces of fish. So a 6 piece roll + 5 pieces of nigiri. Not bad, but like another reviewer mentioned, some of the fish didn't look really fresh. There was some kind of dullness behind it. Again, it didn't taste terrible, but there wasn't much flavor to it. The sushi set came with miso soup and salad as well. I checked in on Yelp and the 1 free small house sake came up, so I asked about that, and were told that they knew nothing about it as they don't deal with Yelp so they weren't able to honor it. Fine with me, I appreciate the response, but still see it on this page lol. Service was overall good, just a bit disappointed with the food. Perhaps an off day? Dunno.

Went for dinner Saturday night with my family to Sachi Sushi. We hadn't been there since pre-pandemic. We were craving some nearby Japanese food and Sachi Sushi did not disappoint any of us! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were busy as expected on a Saturday night but we were seated right away to a nice clean table for four people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered multiple appetizer items (eg. agedashi tofu, vegetable tempura), multiple rolls (eg. spicy tuna roll, avocado & cucumber roll, dragon roll, yasai roll), pan fried garlic udon noodles and chicken katsu dinner entree. We couldn't resist and ordered mango mochi ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious and Sachi Sushi definitely hit the spot! We all left with happy bellies :)

Came back as its been awhile. Still consistent whether bento box or sushi. My fav bento is chicken teriyaki, tempura and CA roll. That was satisfying. The sushi roll was good. Just be ready to be patient as they are short staffed. Sushi chefs busy as the two older ladies are hosting, taking orders, etc. Service is pretty much order as soon as they come as one other woman she just walked by when we arrived. And the other ladies are hustling.

    Chirashi

Dined in at Sachi Sushi for the first time since the pandemic started. I had the Chirashi, which was above average, but not super. My partner had a Combination Plate with Salmon Teriyaki and Sushi, which she enjoyed. She had requested that the salmon be cooked "rare," and the kitchen delivered, with the teriyaki sauce on the side (as it should be). The sushi was solid but not spectacular - average-sized slices of fish (and cooked shrimp), and the sushi rice was ok. There are a few outdoor tables, but most dining in indoors with reasonably-spaced tables. We dined on Labor Day Monday at around 6:30, and did not have to wait. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and always wore masks. I would go to Sachi Sushi again if I wanted solid Japanese food (although it is a little on the expensive side for the area). But I think there are higher-quality Japanese restaurants around.

Went to San Ramon for a concert and decided to eat first and found Sachi Sushi. Looks like there are a lot of good places to eat in this area. Got seated and ordered miso soup, Paradise roll and Dragon roll and Pan Fried Garlic Udon. By the way, I think she forgot our miso because I have to check and ask her halfway our meal when the other table got theirs and they came and ordered after us. Everything taste good. Service was okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Note that the free small sake is not available anymore. I tried to claim it but the lady apologized that they don't honor those. Not a big deal but they should contact yelp (maybe) to take it down so that people dont get confused especially if it's been going on for so long.

Very clean and friendly employees. Soup and salad taste great. Just the right serving size! Everything was perfect!!!

Amazing food and great service! This is our 3rd time eating in person here and we've ordered take out as well and it never disappoints. Food is fresh, full Of flavor and can't be beat for the price ! Everyone who works there is helpful for recommendations. We love this neighborhood sushi place! Thank you Sachi!

Definitely something off about the cherry blossom roll I ordered for pick up. Part of it tasted a bit sour and not fresh. The color of the fish meat looks weird. I like their California rolls though and other items, I just don't understand why their tuna is so grey and old looking

So incredibly overpriced and disappointing. Their "premium" nigiri (10 pc for $75) was not premium at all. In fact, it was worse than basic/cheap nigiri you get elsewhere. All the pieces were tiny, half of them were chewy, and not at all what the menu said they were supposed to be. For instance, the "king salmon" was "sad" salmon and garnished with some kind of orange marmalade-bizarre and gross. I had to choke down the "Wagyu" nigiri because it was so chewy. I couldn't believe how bad it all was. I should have known the dinner was doomed after I ordered their "Crab amuse," which was three pieces ($18!!) of shredded IMITATION crab wrapped in the thinnest piece of tuna you've ever seen, then placed in a weird, sweet cream sauce. Even the miso soup (which I've never received with nigiri omakase, but ok) was barely room temperature and totally watered down. Sorry, Ukai. I have no idea how your reviews are so high, but you have no business operating as a "sushi" bistro or whatever you want to call yourself. Sigh.

Ordered takeout since we were so tired after tennis. It was nice that they have a seperate door to pick up take out so while I waited on the curbside DD ran into pick up. Easy peasy. When we got home we immediately inhaled it. Loved how they separated the filling from the udon and packed the broth separately. Poached egg was creamy still and blended well with the beef and noodles. We came back again yesterday but wanted to actually dine in. There were no longer long lines from when we last dined in years ago. The line went smoothly and the lady was quick and efficient to take our orders and even gathered Hubs' take out rice bowl for later. The gal at the pick up windown was also proficient as her job and even telling me my clams and ginger udon had just ran out so she gave me a number for my table. The tempura station was always one of my favorites. They just ran out of imitation crab but we snagged the last shrimp tempura. Also got a sweet potato and my favorite, pumpkin . 4/5 crunchy not too oily and naturally sweet. No sauce needed We found a table right away which was wiped clean. DD was half way through her udon when mine barely arrived. After the first sip of broth, it quickly reminded me of why we haven't been back in so long. Warm soup vs piping hot. That's why. Fresh cooked clams and butter ginger melted into the broth was a nice change from the usual. The taste was great and flavorful. Clams were blanched nicely with a few unopened shells that I didn't eat. There was also a few with some sand inside which was expected for a fast foodie style place where clam is ordered. 3.5/5 The other downside from the overall dish for both of us was the over sprinkling of green onions. It left a literal bad taste in both our mouths. Clean restrooms. Overall, 3.5

Today, the food was still good overall, but a few dishes were slightly off. The green beans were a bit undercooked compared to our last visit, and the mushroom karaage tasted a little powdery to me. Neither issue was significant enough to mention during the meal. Aside from the food, our server, Joel, was great! Friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It seemed like he may have been the only server working that evening, so he was constantly busy, but he still provided excellent service. Since we ordered a lot of food for just the two of us, he pushed another table over so we'd have enough space, which we really appreciated. At the end of the meal, we had leftovers, including almost an entire spicy tuna roll since it was one of the last dishes to arrive. Another server packed up our leftovers, including the mushroom karaage. Unfortunately, when we got home, we realized the spicy tuna roll was missing from the bag. Overall, we still enjoyed our visit and appreciate the great service from Joel. We were just a little disappointed by a couple of the dishes and the missing leftover.

First of all, Yelp should do something about restaurants begging customers for reviews. People come here based on those ratings, spend a lot of money, and end up with an experience like this. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high reviews. Normally, even at a bad restaurant, there's at least one dish that's decent. Here, there wasn't a single item I would order again. The nigiri was served at room temperature, which immediately raised concerns. The sushi rolls had an unpleasantly sticky rice texture that completely ruined the bite. Almost every appetizer tasted like frozen, pre-packaged food, and even those weren't prepared well. The shrimp tempura was overcooked and the shrimp was tough. The takoyaki had no flavor at all. The fried dumplings were soggy instead of crispy. The kappa roll and avocado roll looked nothing like the photos. They were ridiculously oversized, almost as if they were trying to fill people up with rice instead of making good ingredients. They honestly looked unappetizing before I even took a bite. The udon was simply bad. The soba was even worse--it had a sour, spoiled taste. I took one sip of the broth and immediately spat it out. The service issue wasn't the server's fault. The restaurant had only one server handling an all-you-can-eat operation, so every dish took forever to arrive, and even getting the check took an incredibly long time. Finally, the restroom smelled so terrible that it completely killed what little appetite I had left. It was difficult to even walk inside because of the odor. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. It wasn't just disappointing--it was a complete waste of money.
