I debated writing this review because the staff here are genuinely kind, and I never want to diminish that. Their attitudes have always been warm, welcoming, and professional. That said, I believe honesty is important--especially when others rely on reviews to decide where to spend their time and money. I had previously stopped coming here because I noticed a gradual decline in the level of detail and overall quality of service. Recently, due to a last-minute scheduling issue, I returned because it was the only nearby option. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed once again. I chose builder gel this visit (I typically get rubber base or hard gel from my Russian nail tech). While I understand that different techniques yield different finishes, the final result was noticeably uneven and bumpy. I could have overlooked some of that had the cuticle work been thorough--but it wasn't. Clean cuticle work is my top priority when getting my nails done, and I even asked to confirm that it would be addressed. I was assured it would be, yet the cuticles were not properly cleaned or detailed. To be clear, the shaping and design were good, and I do trust their aesthetic sense. However, it felt as though the meticulousness that defines high-quality nail services simply wasn't there. When paying the same price (plus tip) that I pay my regular nail technician--who provides detailed cuticle care and a smoother finish--it's difficult not to compare the overall value. The pricing here is fair for the area, and again, the staff are kind. But kindness alone does not replace consistency and attention to detail. I've included photos so others can objectively see what I'm describing. I had read another review mentioning a decline in service and chose to overlook it; in hindsight, I think it's important to consider patterns when making decisions. This review is not written out of frustration, but out of fairness to future clients. If you value detailed cuticle work and a flawless finish, it may be worth asking specific questions before booking. I truly hope the salon refocuses on the precision and care that keeps clients coming back.

Stay away from this place. Wish I could give this place 0 stars! The poorest work quality and service I've ever seen. They do terrible work and on top of everything, provide unhelpful, unaccommodating service. My regular nail lady was sick so I came here to do my nails 5 days ago here and almost all my nails broke and chipped in the following 2 days!!! When I came here to get them fixed they said it was my problem and that I would have to pay full price to get redo as if the money I already paid a few days prior doesn't matter! I truly can't believe they have repeating customers because they do a lousy job and are also so unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Just updating that this place has been consistently amazing! I've been suggesting them to everyone and yesterday I brought my coworker in with me and everything was perfect! She said it's the best nail salon she's been to! I had Leo and Nana and they did a great job on my gel mani & pedi! Always happy with my results here. Staff is so welcoming and the owner I believe at the front is so accommodating, you can tell she cares that the customers are happy. Highly suggest!

This is a solid and reliable nail salon. I've come here many times over the years and have always been pleased with the services. It's clean, trendy, always fairly busy, and has a remarkable selection of polishes and gels. A pretty large space, there are plenty of spa chairs and tables so even if you walk-in, which I have several times, you won't have to wait too long. I usually come for a manicure/pedicure, but they have other services as well. The manager is always friendly and checks to make sure you are happy with your services. Every nail tech I've had here has been skilled, friendly, and fast -- exactly what I'm looking for at a nail salon. Being it's on Ventura Blvd, parking can be hit or miss, but I usually find a metered spot out front or around the corner. A great spot to pamper yourself and get those claws cleaned up -- highly recommend!

Love the service provided today from both Chris, who did this fun gel manicure, and Candice who did my toes. I usually stick to a nude and / or other light color but I stepped outside my comfort zone at Nail Boutique and that says a lot. Prices are also reasonable. For what I paid for a gel mani and pedi is roughly the going rate for studio city / Ventura.

I was referred to Nail Boutique from one of my friends. I'm so glad I found this spot. The first time I called I had a million questions and Diane the owner was extremely nice and patient and answered all of my questions. They have a nice setup outside and follow all protocols to keep their place disinfected. I'm very happy with the service I received and their excellent customer service. I love this place so much, I started going here when I worked down the street and had a little break. I fell in love pretty quick. Although my nails always look great and my hands and feet feel awesome...I'd have to say my favorite part is the shoulder and neck massage I get as an add-on!! HEAVEN! Safe to say I will not be coming here again. I've tried this place twice now. First time I asked for a dark red. And walked away with sparkly nails in the summer... Today I am leaving with bloody nails. The technician was so rough and didn't even apologize when she made me bleed. Plus- they charge extra for a "manicure" which is usually included in every manicure I've ever gotten. She told me it's gonna be extra if you want me to clean up your cuticles. Bad experience! They use dirty tools and now I have an infection. It was busy and I noticed the techs all just wheeling their portable stations around using the same tools on one customer after another with absolutely NO sterilization in between. I was there for over 2 hours and saw their sterilization machines sit empty. The tech cut me with dirty cuticle clippers. I had asked her to at least put alcohol on the clippers prior but she didn't. Plus the cheese grater they use on your feet had someone else's skin stuck in the grates. Disgusting and a health hazard. On top of this my manicure chipped after 48 hours. read more

I was seeing Paul to have my acrylic nails filled. I saw him about 4 times. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for being rude to me the first time, but today he was rude to me again, and there's no excuse for his behavior. I don't care how good he is at doing acrylics, if you're not a nice person, I don't want you touching me. My first encounter with him was when I kindly asked him to shorten a nail that was longer than the others. He argued with me, telling me that I was wrong, that it wasn't longer. He continued to work on another nail. I asked him to please shorten it because I was learning to play guitar and I wouldn't be able to play. He proceeded to shorten it, while telling me that it was going to be shorter than my other nails and that it was going to look terrible...with a huge attitude. So...I let that slide. Today, however was it for me. I showed up on time, and he was 20 minutes late(not unusual for him)... sometimes he'll just leave you sitting there while he goes to the back to eat his lunch. Ridiculous. So...he comes out to start my nails. I inform him that I have a very sensitive cut that's healing on the pad of my finger, and will he I was telling him, he already seemed annoyed. Nice. So, he starts to work on me, but he was digging his nail directly into my cut, so my finger tightened up. He shook my finger and demanded that I relax. I let him know that his nail was poking into my cut and that's why I was tense, because it hurt. He said, "You need to relax". He started to work on me again, and he shook my hand again, more firmly demanding that I "relax".I told him again that his nail was digging into my cut, and that's why my hand was tense. He huffed and puffed and rolled his eyes. TOTALLY ANNOYED with me, and went to another nail. His energy was heavy, intense, and so, so unprofessional. I told him to stop working on me and that if had enough. So I left. If you want good acrylics, and don't mind being treated like a jerk, he's your guy. read more

Been coming here for years, all the manicurists are nice and they do a excellent job. I have tried to look for closer places but they couldn't do what the girls here do. No bleeding, no pain and no infections!!! It is worth the drive from OC to here every two weeks. The gel and acrylics lasts. The selection for polishes are HUGE!! I recently discovered dipping acrylics and they are superb. They don't damage the nails and lasts till your next appointment. read more

I was in LA vacationing when one of my friends suggested we get our nails done. We were around the Studio City area and first stopped in a different nail salon close by. We were barely acknowledged and the wait seemed long so we decided to check out Nail Boutique and we were helped immediately and the employees were so friendly! My gel manicure was awesome, and I'm glad because little did I know my boyfriend was flying out to meet me and propose! I'm so glad these were my engagement nails. Prices were reasonable, timing was great, and everyone was friendly. I don't know if I'll ever be in Studio City again and need my nails done, but if I do, I'd definitely return here. read more

Pretty expensive for average nails. Wanted to do an ombré nail but couldn't be done and wanted a design of a snow flake which couldn't be done either. Did full set gel with mate and one sparkly nail as well as my toes normal pedicure came out to 102 plus 15 in tip cause I like to tip regardless. My first and last time coming here ever. I was called 15 minutes before my appointment to see if I could go in later, which I said yes to because I understand that someone can be running late. Long story short... Not only are the nails so crooked, it makes my fingers look crooked, but my car got towed. Which I understand was my mistake but when I went to the furniture store next to this boutique to ask about my car, they told me they went twice to ask if that car's owner was at the salon. I was never asked or notified. I went back to the salon to tell the lady at the front desk and she not only ignored me the whole time while answering the phone, she was very rude and said that I was on the phone and not paying attention during my appointment and that's why my car got towed. read more

I've been going here for years and can't believe I haven't left an amazing review yet! Nail Boutique is the go to nail salon. They never fail me whether it's customer service, the ambience, and especially my gel manicures! My go to manicurist is Paul. God bless Paul! He is so meticulous, diligent, and caring when it comes to making my nails look perfect. He is simply the best. Everyone at nail boutique is amazing. My gel lasts a solid 3 weeks (especially when I file them round). Everywhere else I've been I've had a chip before it's been a week!! Absolutely love this place! This has been my go to spot since moving to Studio City a few years ago. I don't go often but when I do they give you such a warm welcome. The manager is always so sweet as well as the nail artists. They always do an amazing job but very reasonable prices. I love this boutique. I was traveling over an hour so my mom & I could come here. We loved the service! Everyone always takes the best care of us & actually listens to what we want. Kathy is the sweetest, she does my gel x & no matter what I throw she gets it done but most of all I love that she honest. If she fears a design is too complicated for her she will let me know beforehand & we go from there (although so far even if she was scared she knocked it out the park). Honestly it's a cute location but the customer service is super crappy. I paid $61 dollars for a pedicure honestly it wasn't worth it. I've had better for less and they did a better job. I understand the area it's located but make sure you do a good job and aren't rude to your clients. I wanted to pay for Apple Pay tonight and she wanted cash... told me there was an atm next door when I specifically said debit card.. do better! read more

This is my first time back to a nail salon since the pandemic. The salon is sparkling clean. There are hand sanitizers at every stations. Staffs are super helpful and professional. I absolutely hate writing this because i also provide a beauty service but Ive had it with this place and actually most nail salons these days. The woman Julie starts my pedicure and I look down about 7 minutes in when she is about to start painting. She hadnt even cut my cuticles so I told her the whole point of me getting a pedicure is for her to cut the cuticle. So she does that half ass and then starts painting. I look down when she is done and it was just ridiculous. Bumpy, polish on cuticles. Just so effing annoying!!! Im def not going there again. Sick of these people who have one effing job and they just breeze through it like its their money you are spending. read more

Wow what an amazing experience! It's "another" nail salon in Ventura- so you know the competition is high! Everyone was so nice, we had a 10am appt and were helped right away. Last minute I decided I wanted to do acrylic and was feening to get chrome nails but could not help but debate it up until the last minute- of course they encourage you to do it ($$$) but I didn't feel unnecessary pressure and in the end I did it and IM SO GLAD I DID. Rose gold chrome is where it's at- take a look at the pics! Paul was my technician and he was AWESOME- I absolutely hate the feel/sound of nail filing but he eased me through it was confident about what he was doing that I felt so comfortable! Paul's the man! I've had nothing but a great experience with Paul. I've been going to him since summer 2020 and he never ever disappoints. He's always been professional. Because he is always in demand you might have to wait for him to be done with the client before but hey, it's worth the wait. I suggest you DONT go in if you are in a hurry. He likes to take his time to make sure your nails are flawless. I had zero issue with any of the workers taking a mandatory break. They are humans and not robots after all . When I called to make a reservation I was told that a regular mani-pedi is $42, which is an ok price. When I showed up, and while they were doing the mani pedi, I was told that they're now increasing it by $10 because I "picked one of their good nail polish brands"!!!! Well first of all, are you telling me as a business owner that you are using a shitty brand for all other regular customers, shouldn't you be providing a good quality service regardless?!! Secondly, you're charging me almost 25% more for the same mani-pedi just because the brand of the nail polish?!! Mind you I use that brand in any other salon I go to, and they never charge me extra. Oh and by the way, these are my nails less than 48 hours after the mani- all chipped. I guess the brand didn't matter after all?!! Not going back for sure. read more

This was my first time coming to this place since covid happened and all the salons are slowly starting to open again. Unfortunately, my usual spot hasn't opened yet. I am giving 4 stars for this reason. I asked for a regular mani/pedi (no gel). The techs while doing the nails didn't talk to me, just kept quiet. No conversation starters other than, "hello, how are you?" But, ok. For a regular mani pedi, they did a good job. However, when it came to pay.... they charged me $52!!!! Is it because ok the location on Ventura?? Plus, that included an additional fee for being outside. If I had gel, that would be understandable. However, for a regular mani pedi using regular polish, I thought it was way too overpriced. Sorry, but not coming back. Definitely not impressed. :( Also, you can only pay cash/Venmo. In case anyone needs to know. read more

First of all the manager is very rude! 2ndly she doesn't clean the stations properly. There was all cut nails everywhere on the seat and the small tables where you put your arms. When I asked her to clean it with alcohol spray before I sat down the way she looked at me , wow! And again didn't clean properly, just wiped it with towel. The only good thing about this place is the nail technicians. They are doing a great job! read more

I have visited Nail Boutique about 3 times now as my previous nail lady no longer does nails, and I must say, I am impressed by the Gel Manicures that Diane does. I am VERY picky when it comes to nails, and she always works with me until I get the perfect color and shape. I am so happy I found a great spot! read more

I went to nail boutique today and had a great experience! Lisa did my gel mani and pedicure. I found the salon to be very organized and the staff was super friendly. Lisa was very attentive, frequently asking if I was happy with the shape and number of coats. The prices are the lowest I've encountered so far. The only downside was that I didn't really get a massage. The foot massage was like 20 seconds and not much on the hands. She just rubbed them quickly. I found that odd but overall had a pleasant experience. read more

I've been getting sns done there since October and I've had to get my nails redone like 7 times sense when it should be more like 4 and my nails keep breaking within the first couple days. Never had this. They fix for free but I don't have time to go in twice a week to do that. Very disappointed. No other place has caused my nails to break so much read more

Came here for the first time yesterday. Felt like treating myself to a special "ombré" gel manicure/fill. Was told the price was $20 and $15 for the gel ombré. Showed a picture and the manicurist said she could do it no problem and had done it before. Nearly 2 hours and $50 later and my nails resemble that of a 10 yr olds finger painting. After explaining the situation that occurred regarding the price, all I received was a punch card so that if I came 3 more times I'd receive a free manicure....wow. So I decided to try a new nail salon that was closer to me and had more friendly owners and found Nail Boutique on yelp. I decided to get my usual gel manicure and I absolutely love it! I had a great nail technician named Joanne and she was super friendly, not nosey asking a ton of questions about my personal life, and was extremely professional. The manager is an absolute sweetheart! She made me feel welcome both the first time I stopped in to check out the place and then again today at my appointment. This is exactly where I need to be. My nails look amazing, the management welcome their customers with open arms, and I am in and out of there quick! Ladies and Gents, I have found a new spa! I cannot tell you how much I love this place. Everything about it, from the service to the prices you name it. Not only are they professional and extremely friendly, my nails are always perfect. I usually get my gel nails done with Lynn, she has a gift I can tell you that. Occasionally Pauline does my nails and she is just as amazing. No matter who has done my nails, manicure or pedicure, I have left the salon with absolutely perfect nails. Hi, I come here pretty often, and haven't had any negative prior experiences. I went in yesterday for the usual gel manicure and pedicure, but this time the guy giving me a pedicure took a chunk out of my toe while removing my callouses. I'm not sure how to upload a picture. The receptionist signed the discount cards that you give out giving me a free manicure next time I come in, but I'm feeling like I possibly should've been given some discount on the pedicure--or not charges at all. The guy used some cheese grade looking think to remove my callous, so it truly is a chunk of my toe. It's still causing me pain. Again, I've never been nicked before, so felt that I wasn't sure if I should post a public Yelp review at the moment. Don't let anyone use anything but pumice stones on your feet!!!! read more

This salon is a decent place to go if you just want to get in and out and don't really care about the pampering experience. The manicurists are okay.. In my opinion they can do more to improve their customer service skills. I have been in here 2 times already and the staff always have the same snobby looks on their faces. My nails look great every time I leave the salon but my gel manicure usually doesn't last too long. It starts to chip after a week. The decor in the salon is not that great either. I am still in the search for a classy nail salon that I can fall in love with and stick to... I have experienced better than the Nail Boutique. Their prices are also too high. read more

I love the receptionist (Ly) and technicans here, very skillful and they all are licensed with many years of experience in doing nails care. Everyone is very nice and sweet here. They make me feel like home. I always took my gf here to get her nails done. Over the past 3 months there were no complain but only good compliments from my gf. Gel nails trouble shooting, you got to ask for Kent or Emily. They are patient and very accommodating. Though Kent is a more quiet guy. But i heard Emily is off for a while, so ask for Kent. I alternate between Kent and Emily. I am a real regular customer of Nail Service and i live quite far, Sherman Oaks. My husband did complain about the drive since there are so many salons around us. I never miss to go to this place. Whenever i go there always had a good experience. I wen to Nail Boutique for manicure and nail art. They always provide good services. Sometime it is painfull to get the manicure done from other places because they roughly do cuticle trimming and shaping.
