Despite their pretty nail posts on Yelp this salon looks like it was good at one time and the current owners are not maintaining the place. If you look closely at some of the images you can see that they stole the images from another salon. The place is clean but the massage chairs are old and breaking down. They use thread bare stained rags that used to be towels on clients. The last kicker is that they have incompetent nail technicians serving clients. Not painting the whole nail and skipping second coats of polish on various fingers is definitely not ok. Another technician had to remove the streaky uneven polish and redo them. Management noticed this and tried to compensate me extra stamps on their 'rewards' card but I won't be coming back. If this place wants to thrive and grow it should buy new towels, stop the staff from wearing thread bared lab coats, and screen their staff more efficiently before hiring them to start. read more

Took me a while to find the perfect nail place in the valley. I've been going here for a little over a year. I'm usually in a hurry and don't like to spend a lot of time at a nail salon. Nail boutique really accommodates that. They usually are really quick at doing your nails. I usually call about 15 minutes before I go in and I rarely have to wait. Prices are reasonable and everyone is very nice. The owner any is so friendly! They always seems happy to see you. ;). All the people are good and I can't choose just one! WOW!!! That is all I should write but i understand you want to know why. After my awful nail job at another salon - read the review by clicking my name - I decided to look elsewhere and found a few salons, however this one was open today. Yay me! Just like any other salon when you walk in, nice personable women and men ready to assist, nice and clean. I explained what I thought I wanted and was told to pick a color for my toes. I was shown a spa chair and received a decent pedi but the foot massage was the best part, an extra $10. Ok, now to the best part... I explained to the lady, Amy I believe, that I wanted a hole new set and that I love shiny and sparkles. She took out her phone and started showing me pics of their work. Within a few minutes I had picked out a design and they got started. My manicurist name was Lilly. Removing the old acrylics was PAINLESS and FAST!!!! The application, a 4 step process, was a little longer than expected but that was due to my inexperience with they technique they used. The next time should be quicker. This past Sunday's mani pedi was the most rushed experience ever. It was sort of silly how fast both my mani and pedi were (price did not reflect discounted work). Everything was an attempted upsell (heel softner, special nail polish etc...), the entire thing was so quick I felt like they kept looking at their watches. My toe cuticle was cut and she was really aggressive scrubbing my heels...not luxurious at all! The Worst Pedicure ! The nail tech was Eileen . Very unfriendly with an odd attitude. I thought I was going to relax in the massage chair for at least 30 mins. I'm not exaggerating but from start to finish my pedicure was 20 mins long. She barely scrubs and the trimming of cuticles were so quick when I asked if she could trim a problem area she looked mad that I asked. Her massage was basically a 30 second application of lotion. She tried to convince me that she massaged . I receive pedicures about every 2 1/2 weeks I know what it feels like to have a decent pedicure. I struggled with how to rate this nail salon because I either LOVE my experience or i'm disappointed. My last visit for a mani/pedi with a friend who has never been there before was not a good one. Her experience was actually good, but mine was not. My manicure took half the time as my friend's did. The paint did not go to the edges of my nails. Within TWO DAYS my manicure AND pedicure had chipped. Very disappointing. I always bring friends, but it's so hit or miss that I feel bad when they leave with a bad first impression. I have been doing my mani/pedi in this salon for more than 7 years. I used to have my nails done by David, until he moved out of town. Some other technicians are good too. The biggest problem of this place - the technicians are rushed and overbooked. They usually don't honor your appointment time. I happened to wait for more than 30 min, even though booked appointment. I always stayed loyal and patient. However, today, when I was trying to choose color for my nails, their receptionist Amy literally jumped into my face stating that there are other customers waiting for their appointment, I need to hurry, my appointment is 30 minutes only, and the technician is falling behind because of me. The truth was I scheduled appointment at 10:45, my technician appeared around 11:05, I was waiting patiently. I was so thrown off by Amy's rude attitude that I just grabbed the first whatever color, which wasn't what I wanted, had technician polish my nails, and left. Amy did try to apologize to me, but my peaceful morning was ruined. This was not the first time Amy was rude to me. I am nice and patient person, so people do take advantage of this. However, this time I felt it is time for me to find a new place. I am not going to put up with her rude attitude ever again. read more

They're working in the parking lot in the back, have a tent and fans to make things more comfortable for their customers and i really appreciated it. This was the worst decision of my life. I asked for coffin shape and if you look at the pictures I posted nothing about this shape is coffin. My thumb doesn't even look like any other nail. I asked for a cleaning and she soaked my fingers and cut my cuticles and poured alcohol on them and burn my skin. She cut into my cuticle a few times with the drill and made me bleed. And even tho it's extra for the nail cleaning she didn't even apply cuticle oil to fix what she fucked up. Just disgusting customer service. Worst nail boutique! I am currently here and the nail tech has a horrible attitude because he doesn't know how to properly shape nails. Every nail looks different, no uniformity at all. When I asked him to correct them, he got an attitude and stormed off, then came back and said, "Are you ready now?" Wtf?!? Completely unprofessional! I was triple teamed the second I hit the spa chair. And I loved everyyyy minute of it. While Angie perfected my pedicure, Kim gave me a lovely manicure and Joanne rounded out the experience with a to-die-for shoulder rub. Leave your boyfriends at home ladies! This woman knows what she's doing. I basically got the works done (mani/pedi, shoulder, hand and foot massage) and still walked out spending less than I would have for a back massage or fru fru mani/pedi anywhere else. The place is clean, the color selection is vast and ripe with ridiculous names like Berry Sexy and Fee Fi Fo Plum, the staff is friendly and the brand new spa chairs are super comfy. This was my second worst mani/pedi ever. They put me in one of those 'massaging' pedicures chairs and i asked for a pillow behind my back because I'm small. They argued with me that the chair can be adjusted to make me comfortable. They were wrong, they finally gave me a pillow. Water was started into the bowl for my feet, when directed to put my feet in, it was cold. I asked her to please warm it, and got a dose of burning hot water shot onto my feet. I attempted to swish the water with my feet to combine cold with hot and was pushed away. The rest of the pedicure was fine. The hands, however, were attended to by some guy who filed my nails down too much, then on one hand applied callous remover in prep for clipping my cuticles, on the other hand he instead applied alcohol instead, and left bumps in the nails that caused the polish to bump. When applying the base coat, he just ran a stripe down the center of the nail, instead of covering the nail. The OPI polish, which had been watered down was applied and promptly chipped by the next day. I won't be going back read more

While I think maybe 2 stars is a bit harsh, the experience truly was "Meh. I've experienced better." I went on a Wednesday afternoon to beat any crowds and there were only a handful of people there. It was so empty in fact that two manicurists were dozing on chairs in the corner. I mean ok, it's not busy but at least look alive while on shift. I thought the two women working on my nails, Gwen and Sophia were nice. Gwen introduced herself and asked for my name which I thought was kind. And I have no complaints on the mani/pedis itself except that they kind of raced through it so it wasn't a pampering experience overall. Also, at the end they cleaned up around me and left without helping me with my shoes. After a few mystifying minutes I had to flag someone to help me. What I thought could be improved most was the atmosphere itself. The place obviously has seen better times. The decor was spartan - almost had an abandoned look to it and there was exposed wiring in random places on the ceiling where the fire alarms and lights were supposed to be. Also, in another corner it appeared it used to be curtained off but all that's left are like 50 curtain rings. It's an ok place but I think there are much better experiences to be had in the neighborhood for the same price. read more

I recently moved to this side of the valley from Calabasas and sadly, had to find a new nail place as I just can't make it over to the other side of the valley without planning way out ahead of time. I scoured Yelp to find a place with great reviews. I took a chance on this place and was sadly disappointed. It must be said that I bring my own acrylic powder because I am kind of picky. I asked the guy Ben if that was ok and he asked the owner. She said yes, so he proceeded with my fill. As he is doing my nails he suddenly says, "your powder is terrible. It makes your nails look old and sick. Our powder is better." I was floored! I said, "What?!" probably a little louder than I had wanted to, but was so shocked! I use a very expensive, popular brand that one of my old manicurist swears by. I have used it for over 10 years and it never lifts! Well, it was all down hill from there. He proceeded to talk about me in his language to other workers, who would come over and literally watch him work on my nails, while snickering. Rude! The lady who did my pedicure for some reason put so much polish on my big toes but not on the others, that you can see a real color difference, and the lady who waxed my eyebrows was super sweet, but left a huge welt on my eye (usually a sign that the wax is too hot). There is NO parking and it's a pain to find a place that isn't three blocks away. I gave two stars because I actually like the way my nails looked. If the guy who did them wasn't such a douche, I would have gone back, overlooking all the other negatives. But now, no way. I will keep looking. read more

From the little place across the street, nail salons inside the mall to really high end spas where I paid $150 (ok, I didn't pay for it, it was a present.) The salon is clean but small. Spa chairs on one side and regular nail stations on the other. Barely any room to walk between the two. I came here in the middle of a really bad heat wave and their air was not working. Or if it was it was barely noticeable. It wasn't unbarable but it wasn't very comfortable either. Christina who did my toes did an excellent job. Sofia who did my mani is a nother story. She asked if I wanted to cut my nails and I said just a trim. Instead, before I could say anything more, she cut them SO short I looked like a 5 year old. And one of my nails was even at a slant. I really wish you could give half-stars on Yelp - I was torn between 3 & 4 for this review because the experience really depends on who does your mani/pedi. I've been going to Nail Boutique regularly for about a year, and I'd estimate that I've been completely satisfied about 80% of the time, but I've definitely been disappointed on several occasions. The place is clean, the spa chairs are comfortable, and I really do love that when you get a manicure & pedicure simultaneously, the technician doing your manicure moves to work on either side of you instead of expecting you to twist & contort yourself so they can reach your hands. I've occasionally had the polish chip within 48 hours, they sometimes go overboard with the cuticle trimming, the massages aren't always great, and every so often I need to get another employee to translate when the person working on me doesn't understand what I'm asking/requesting. But all in all it's a decent nail salon, and their prices are pretty reasonable. read more

For an extra $10, you can get a pretty nice shoulder massage. Cleanliness is huge for me when it comes to nail salons, and it should be for you as well. Who would want fungus on the toes? This place is clean and use plastic-lined tubs for your toes and tools in sanitized bags. The polish selection is huge and consists of OPI & Essie. My polish usually lasts for at least 2 weeks, if not more. They recently bought new spa chairs. Everyone is friendly, especially the owner. Best of all, they take credit card. read more

I've been getting my nails done here for years. Everyone does a great job and they have all the best colors. I usually get a regular manicure and I'm in and out in 20 minutes give or take which is pretty awesome. They just underwent a remodel and an expansion.
