I am visiting a friend here in Lakeland who just moved into her new home. I mentioned to her that I wanted to get a pedi. We went to one location and they weren't accommodating to us walking in without an appt. we ended at Leon and Kim's and it was a great experience. Very COVID friendly. The massage chairs were relaxing and the pedicure and leg massage was on point. The heated rocks massage was life. I would recommend this location fir a great experience. read more

I do not live locally so I wanted to find a good nail place. Did I ever find one! Let me start out by saying the place is CLEAN! Everything from the tools to the pedi bowls are sanitized. (I have seen the flip side of that!) I received everything I asked for and more. The pedi chairs are wonderful. Very relaxing! Staff is very friendly and professional. So we have visited several times and I'm now set on this being our nail salon. They are very welcoming and actually seem to care about you and your nails. I recently left my home nail salon after 10 years and have had trouble finding all of the qualities I grew accustomed to there. I feel all my needs have been met at this salon and then some. I like that they are very clean with state of the art supplies and equipment. Both Leon and Kim have been present and hands on each visit. They are very clear on the prices for services and not in a rude way but they just give clarity along the way. Best nail salon I've found thus far in Lakeland (well actually kinda in all of my life). I've tried three others in Lakeland and this one outranked them all. Myself and a friend originally went to another salon but it was an hour wait and the prices were too high. We called Kim and Leon's to see if they could fit us in for two pedis and they said they were staring the water for us. As soon as we walked in Kim and Leon introduced themselves and told us they can help with whatever. I don't think I've ever had the staff at a nail salon introduce themselves oddly enough . The salon was very clean and did not have that strong nail smell like most places. I appreciated that. The guy who did my pedi was super nice and conversed with both me and my friend as opposed to talking to his coworker. I don't give out five stars unless I feel it's deserved and it is well deserved. My friends and I went here after we called and said there was no wait. There were only 3 nail technicians, all of which were with customers. My sister and I wanted dip powder, and they had no idea how to do this. The one guy had to ask his wife how to do it, and he still butchered my sister's nails pretty bad. For me, I got a French dip powder manicure, but the lady only did one coat of dip and the rest was just gel. My nails are chipping after a week when they should be lasting for a month. If you want a dip powder manicure, do not waste your money here. read more

I have been going to Kim and Leon for 15 years. They are professional, and the salon is always clean. Leon keeps the salon clean. He does not let the salon looks go down. He is paints when needed and has even put new tile on the floor. They are always keeping up with new trends when it comes to nails designs and product. You don't have to worry about seeing new nail tec every time you go there. They pretty much keep the same staff. That is a plus! Oh yeah you don't have a long wait. They value the customers time. ZERO STARS...This was another lesson I learned about basing my patronage solely on online reviews. Reviews can be very helpful but they also can be misleading, bribed and outright forged. I visited Nails by Leon and Kim and immediately was unimpressed by the dated, dirty, dingy atmosphere. As well as the large filthy fish tank and musty smell. The shop was empty except for an elderly lady getting a pedicure. I was told to pick a color and wait a few minutes for an older man that had apparently left the store (I believe this was Leon). This turned out to be almost 20 minutes. When he returned he proceeded to the bathroom for another five minutes. I maintained my patience and started to tell him what shape I wanted etc. I was cut off and told most shapes are extra and was pushed to get gel nails of which I declined because Id no idea what the outcome of my nails would be (it being my first time there). He acted irritated and would pull and push my hands hastily while working, not without stopping to look along at a video another employee was watching and chatting with the exterminator that proceeded to spray PESTICIDES around all the stations and our feet! Really?... I could tell he was going to take zero pride in his work on my full set very early on and I would not be back. I attempted to tell him that some of the nails in my full set looked crooked and he spoke loudly to Kim in their language and said nothing to me. He seemed to not even be aware of his rudeness and disrespect. Very poor customers service and materials and infested and unsanitary facility. Not to mention toxic. Honestly, this place may warrant an inspection of some sort. I allowed him to finish up, paid and got out of there asap. I left with bumpy, thick acrylic, uneven length and unevenly filed nails with thick coats of cheap polish on my skin and cuticle. I would have taken pics but I immediately went up the road and across the street to Nails Bar (across from Dunkin Donuts) and had them soaked off and redone. Had a completely opposite experience... Nails Bar was Amazing! I felt compelled to share my honest and awful experience at Nails By Leon and Kim.. Avoid!! read more

ZERO stars!!!! The people were rude and were not clean. They moved my nephews and flipped out when they touched a single nail polish. And Leon was VERY aggressive because he didn't like that my nephews were crying and took it out on my sisters feet. They did half ass work and charge 35$ just to get a hot towel that had yellow and brown stains and smelt like fish straight from the water, for a pedicure will not be coming back. read more

I had high hopes for this nail salon. The reviews were good and the people nice upon arrival. However it quickly went down hill. The lady that did my pedicure was more worried about watching her show on her phone than she was about providing a good service. She hardly touched me bwhen she was massaging my legs and feet, she barely scrubbed my heels and left them patchy and still dry and peely. When more customers came in, they rushed through the rest of my pedicure to move me out of the way. I paid for the 40$ pedicure and was less than impressed. I will not return. read more

I'm not extremely picky when it comes to my pedicures but I did not enjoy this service at this location. The older male who gave me the pedicure, kept scratching all over his body while giving me the pedicure. I asked was he okay and he stated " I just woke up". I then expressed how unsanitary it was for him to rub all over his body and then clean my cuticles. He said he would stop but continued scratching and rubbing throughout the rest of the service. I tried speaking to the male manager about my concerns and he basically ignored my concerns. I will not be returning to this establishment. One good thing I will say is that the deluxe pedicure is well worth the price. read more

To be honest, I probably would not have tried this salon if my sister had not given me a gift certificate. From the outside, it does not look very "upscale". The decor is very no frills, but that's where the mediocrity ends. The pedicure was the best I've ever had. Paraffin wrap, hot stones, eucalyptus soak, foot massage, etc. It was amazing. I also got an SNS powder "dip" manicure and I've already received numerous compliments on it. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. read more
