Called in for an appointment on a busy Friday afternoon. Flower was able to get me in earlier then my reservation time. I came in for a standard manicure/pedicure. Earlier that day, I went to the Detroit zoo on my son's field trip and my feet were needing some TLC. I have to say, it felt like the best pedicure of my life. One of the ladies working there did my mani/pedi and she did a fantastic job. Even my boyfriend noticed when I got home, because lets face it...winter has finally left Michigan and my feet were looking pretty rough. I think I rivaled Smeagle in the ugliest looking feet/nails department. I opted for a pretty coral color for my fingers and toes, and the color came out great. While I was there, there were customers walking in to make appointments, so you know that's a good sign. I was really happy with the service here, I highly recommend this place! read more

10 days ago my wife got a dip manicure thru Flower. Her nails looked great. However, yesterday one of them fell off. Today another one from her thumb fell off. We're both very disappointed. My wife has had issues with her nails before, so I'm not sure where the problem lies, but we had higher expectations. read more

I have been here before and I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the service today. I did not schedule an appointment and I knew walk ins were welcome, and I just needed fill ins. As soon as I chose my color I decided to ask for a certain design and if it was an option, I was told it was and immediately got excited only to hear seconds later they didn't have time. I guess I would understand if I walked in right before close but I did not. I showed the nail tech a picture of the exact length and shape I wanted and he agreed, however my end result did not match the picture at all. As soon as shaping and filing was done, I was told to sit in another chair with a different nail tech for polish. As I was looking at my nails I noticed one was very crooked and the nail tech refused to believe me when I showed her, and continued to polish my nails. I asked for a matte top coat and apparently there was something wrong with the consistency of the polish, but instead of starting over she kept repainting and manipulating the polish until it began to look very messy but she continued anyway. This was my first visit to this salon. I went looking for a nearby salon that did SNS without UV lights like I had researched it was supposed to be done Lee took care of me. It took a while to soak off the previous tips with SNS and then several top coats of CND gel polish. Lee was very thorough and I was thrilled she didn't just take the quick way and file it all away. I was very impressed with the care she took in making sure not to unnecessarily damage my nails. I'm glad she recommended that I not put the tips on again but instead just dip my own nails and let them continue to grow out on their own. I'm on day #12 after my manicure and although they've grown out quite a bit already they still look and feel great! Definitely will be going back to see Lee for future fills. Thanks read more

Really wish I wouldn't have even gone. The man who did my pedicure was the worst. I told him I'd like them cut down but I still have talons. On to my shellac manicure, the lady that was doing my nails was apparently the only one that could answer the phone so every freakin phone call my manicure was interrupted and anything she heard interesting on the tv she also had to stop and turn toward the tv. It was also really appreciated when she cut off all my nails and I mean like as short as they could go! I was there for 3 hours and by the time she was finished I had to get out of there!!! Sadly I have to go back tomorrow because just before posting upon further inspection of the talons they're painted terribly!!! This is a very typical/basic nail salon. My husband and I missed our appointment with another salon and saw the reviews for Expert Nails and decided to stop in. The staff was very friendly. However, once the nail tech was having difficulty removing the polish off my toes and the time that took (at least 20 minutes), I knew that I had to go else where. I opted to just allow her to remove the polish and cancelled my mani/pedi. BEWARE OF THIS SALON! My friend and I had heard many great things about this place so we decided to check it out. When we arrived, the place looked good. We had picked out our colors. I had chosen a light/ nude pink and my friend had chosen a white color. When doing my nails, I showed my nail tech this picture ( I will submit it) and said this shape and a tiny bit shorter length. My friend and I both had dip with tip on prior to arriving and needed a soak off first. To soak it off, they put our hands in a bowl of acetone. Later on that day my fingers and hand had skin PEELING off from the acetone. My friend was given a buffer and told to remove the remaining dip HERSELF. My nails ended up being a magenta color and my friends was a pink. This place is not somewhere you want to go to. There are one or two very good nail techs that I have heard about there, but the rest are not qualified to produce quality work. The name of their salon does not live up to its name. Very unsatisfied and WILL NOT be returning. read more

I walked in, was asked what I'd like. I was stared at it felt like by everyone in there which seemed like for a while, but whatever. I took around five minutes looking through all of their colors, I asked if they did dip also. They do. Then while I was still looking at their dip colors, the woman came up and said there's an appointment coming up so I couldn't do dip nails today I'd have to make an appointment for a diff day, or just do shellac instead today. So I'm like ok I'll just do the opi gel. And I did. a man did my nails.. I said before he started buffing, "I do Not want my cuticles cut, just pushed back please." And he looked like he acknowledged what I said by nodding and saying ok... five mins later he's starting to cut my cuticles. I'm like I really don't want them cut. He proceeds. anyway, I just let him finish whereas I could have said it more firmly and caused a scene lol. It ended up turning out nice. Except my cuticles hurt. Which is one reason why I am against getting them cut. It's also unhygienic especially when you work in the medical field. I felt rushed out also. The hand massage was too quick on the second hand, also, after my nails were dry, he forgot to add cuticle oil to my thumb but ok, at least my nails are ok looking. Love the dip powder. The powder is fortified with calcium and other vitamins that strengthen your nails plus, I like the fact that the UV lights aren't needed. My friend had Michael both times. I brought my mom here for mani/pedi as a Christmas gift. The atmosphere was festive with decorations and Christmas music. Everyone was very nice. We had an appointment and were seated on time. However, mom's regular manicure didn't make it to day 3. My gel manicure didn't last a week. I'm a nurse and wash my hands a lot, but I've never had a gel manicure that peeled so quickly. read more

I took my daughters here for a mother-daughter. I have a 7 year old daughter and a five-year-old daughter. We had flower do the girls nails. She was so patient and caring with the girls. My five year old wanted many different shades of glitter and she was more than willing to meet her request. With my picky 7 year old she was able to put a smile on your face and do her nails exactly how she wanted them. And while the girls are drying she got my pedicure done without skipping a step or taking too long. I ended up at this salon on a Friday morning after calling around town looking for a salon that does SNS. They informed me that they didn't have the SNS brand, but they had another brand used for the exact same process. I was thoroughly pleased with my experience. The atmosphere in there was very peaceful. They had music playing in the background, and everyone was being taken care of. Flower (who I spoke to on the phone) greeted me when I came in, and I was immediately seated with Lee, who would be my nail tech for my services. Lee took her time and my nails came out perfectly. If you're looking for a REASONABLY PRICED salon to get SNS (which is way better than shellac/gel/no-chip polish), then this is the best place to go in the area. read more

I COULD NOT!!!! believe my experience today. I have been going to this salon for years and have never been treated like this. This place came under new ownership probably about 3 years ago, but even before then I have been a regular customer for about 10 years. Every time I go to get my nails done or a pedicure, I bring my daughter along. She's almost 5 and I have been bringing her with me since she was born. As soon as she stopped sucking on her fingers she has been getting her nails done there also. So I am a regular, well known client of theirs. In the past, I have known the girl that works there to kinda snap at my daughter, but I will admit my daughter can get into things... but that was when she was younger, and the lady never really got out of line. (I'm not even going to try and spell her name.) I've also said something to her in the past to let me deal with it, but I continued to go there. BUT TODAY!!! Today was a completely different story! My daughter was sitting in a chair by the pedicure chairs, literally minding her own business. She needed to get behind the chair my daughter was in, so instead of moving it, she pushed it roughly with my daughter in it!!! I kinda let that go, but was going to say something to her when I was done. Then my daughter went to use the restroom, and she can't reach the sink in the restroom, so she was going to use the sink next to the pedicure chair. The lady stopped what she was doing (painting another client's toes) and went over to my daughter, GRABBED HER BY HER ARM, AND YANKED HER AWAY FROM THE SINK!!!! OH NOOOO!!!! I was supposed to get a fill in and my eyebrows waxed, but I got up and left after my pedicure, and said a few choice words to her. I recently started doing SNS nails/dip powder manicures - which I LOVE. After years of shellac ruining my nails, 3 months of getting manicures with SNS nails dip powder, my nails are transformed. I came here after my usual place told me they were booked out for a week. I couldn't wait so I came here on a hunch - it's not easy finding a place that does dip nail manicures correctly (no UV lights).
