This place accommodates rather quickly. I had gotten a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure really did not understand or speak English. Luckily, she did a decent job. The woman who did my gel manicure was not too friendly and kept complaining that she was hungry making it a no so pleasant experience. I thought it was kind of pricey for the quality to charge $55.00. For $5.00 more I'll stick to Horizon nails where they treat you like a Queen. read more

I live in Manhattan and I come with my gf to NJ just for the nail work here! My gf has been going for years and she initi claimed it was the best. She took me and now I only go to this salon. I usually get a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedis are very thorough and the staff is very precise. Carmen usually does my pedis but everyone is well equipped to give great service. The gel manis are always so nicely executed and they last forever! The last one lasted almost a month -- which says a lot since I'm a coder by trade (lots of fast typing) and do hardcore workouts that involve picking up barbells and heavy weights. It's a miracle they were unblemished for that long! Oh, I'm also Korean and have never heard the Korean ladies "talk trash" about their clients as suggested by some reviews in any of the many times I've frequented there. I hear them talking about general business operational things or client preferences - nothing that wouldn't comfortably be said in English in front of English speaking clients. They do amazing pedicures but everything else is subpar. I spent three hours for a pedicure and extensions and I had to go back the next day to get one fixed. Two days later for more kick off including one that was just fixed. I called early in the day to get them fixed by the end of the day they had all falling off and went into get my money back. I have been living in the area for a year and after searching for a good nail place I have finally found it! Went today for a pedicure and couldn't be happier. Although Saturday's are busy I was able to get right in after calling for an appointment 30 minutes prior. Although the place is smaller then the some of the other salons in the area it is very clean and there is a great selection of colors. Rosie who did my pedicure was very thorough and finished it off with a hot stone on my calves which was delightful and a shoulder massage after! I have never been to a nail salon in the area with a staff I kinder than this one. The customer service and care that they provide is great, which is why I continue and will continue to come here. I have recommended friends to come here and we come in together sometimes. However it is best to make an appointment over the phone than to just walk in as they get pretty busy. Went to Nail House VII yesterday and I must state that I will NEVER go back again. I first went there to ask if they had anything available for a fill-in, the woman told me "yes "and to :come back in 40 min". I returned in exactly 40 min as the woman asked and a woman name Angela asked if I had an appointment, I told her the previous girl told me to come back in 40 min as in which I did, Angela told me "no come back tomorrow" I told her again that "the previous girl told me to come back in 40 min and it could be done" another woman who was receiving service confirmed that I was there earlier and the girl working there in fact told me that my nails could be done in 40 minutes, so once Angela noticed that people confirmed what her employee stated then she whispers to me that she wants to go home and if I can come back tomorrow, keep in mind that the shop was still open for another 2 hrs. I told her someone should have told me this before instead of having me wait to come back in 40 min. Anyway she went ahead and started my fill-in then told me I could not get what I wanted which is pink and white because it takes too long and she doesn't feel like doing it she said she only wants to do the pink not the white for the French manicure. I was frustrated and I said okay just do whatever. She said the pink will be $35 I said okay. Overall, my nails came out horrible, they were bumpy and she didn't put top clear coat on all of the nails, I asked to file my nails down because I do not like long nails, she told me she couldn't so basically I got NOTHING I wanted plus at the end she told me the price is $40 when originally is she stated $35. Never again will I go to these lazy people, such a waste of $40. Please save your money and go to a nail place that will give you what you ask for and what you pay for!!! I've been a frequent customer of Nail House for over 3 years. The owner Chris is a very nice and accommodating person. She makes an effort to fit you in if you call for a last minute appointment. There are newer nail places in Edgewater that have nicer interiors, but none of them have service as good as Nail House. I accidentally discovered this place on a Friday night when I left work and my nails desperately needed to be redone. After a handful of calls, many nail salons in the area turned me away because they were "appointment only," but this place was the only that allowed me as a walk-in. The woman took 2 hours to do a fill-in, but that was because she was extremely precise and made sure my nails were absolutely perfect. Also, my nails lasted a whole 3 weeks, when they usually last around 2. I always wait until the days where I work in Edgewater to take advantage of getting my nails done at this place. And though it is more expensive than most nails salons I've been to, nowhere else have I found a nail salon that has put so much effort in making my nails look as perfect as they can. I went to this nail salon because my coworker said that they were amazing and they truly were. The women working were so sweet and helpful, especially since I have an injured ankle. They helped me get around and I didn't even have to inform them to be easy during my pedicure. The pedicure was absolutely amazing and relaxing. I thought I already wrote a review complimenting this place when I first started going about a year and a half ago. I think I gave it 4 or 5 stars, but something happened. I get gels. They always lasted 3 weeks or more. When I first started going, they said gels last 3 weeks. After about a year and a half, my nails started breaking (and low!) after a week or two. When I asked them again, they said they are supposed to last only 2 weeks. For a $50 filling, that's a lot. I might as well not get them. Anyway, I soon found out that the owners changed and after asking friends who get their nails done, they state that usually it's not the nail after many years, but cheap product. This could be the case because I am going to a new salon with good brand product of gel and it's 3 weeks and the nails are going strong! I'm sad to have had to leave as I really liked the staff... all of them :( Did they change product? The ladies here work very quickly and they are nice and professional and do a very good job from my past experience. I live very close so I walk here and I have never had a bad experience. They do get very busy, and the store is small but they will get the job done and the general facility is clean and comfortable overall. I tried one of the spa pedicures last Friday and it was a very relaxing, luxurious experience that I will definitely come back for. It is between $45-$52, and they will dunk your feet in soft comforting jelly and massage your calves with all types of lotion and scrubs and it's worth every penny. My skin was so soft for days! I am giving them five stars because I appreciate that they work hard to get you in a chair as fast as they can even when it is very busy. This place is very unclean. It looks like everything in there needed to be wiped down. I went to get a shelac manicure and it was the cheapest in the area which is why I went , but I would rather pay 6-8$ more and go somewhere more sanitary. The UV light had gunk all over it, like it had never been wiped down, all of the containers they use are filthy, and the decor just looks very shabby.
