After seeing the great reviews to this nail salon I decided to give it a try but was heavily disappointed with the service of the nails itself. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon and got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I decided to do something different so I did multiple colors on my nails. The staff was very friendly and kind. The receptionist was extremely kind and was very helpful. My nail technician Lani was great and friendly too. I had no problems whatsoever until I looked down at my nails. My cuticles weren't cut correctly and the polish job was just done fast without mistakes being fixed. My pedicure started to peel off after 2 days I called into the salon and another receptionist informed me that it's not their fault and that they can fix it for a charge. I was very upset because I paid a good amount for something that didn't last whatsoever and looks bad. For the prices being slightly higher then most salons I assumed that it would be perfect. I will no longer be returning to this salon and I do not recommend it. read more

Second, the front desk staff is very friendly, professional and accommodating. Lastly, each technician is equally skillful in providing excellent mani's and pedi's. I was so excited to try this salon, as I have several friends who had gone, and it has such great reviews! First I have to say I love the decor, and the actual day of our service was great. My 4 year-old daughter and I both got mani-pedis. My problem is with their customer service, in particular from the owner. I get lots of manicures, usually regular manis, as I'm afraid the Dips/gels could give us cancer. :) I never expect them to last that long, but if I can get 5 days to a week, I'm happy. And that is what I usually get, at least 5 days before chipping. This manicure started entirely peeling off before 24 hours had passed, and within 48 hours almost every nail was chipped beyond repair. I called them to explain and ask if I could pop over for a polish change, and they scheduled me. When I got there, I wanted to double check before I sat down the service would be either discounted or $0, considering it was such a poor job. At that point, the owner came to me and said she was the one who took my call, and that they never cover any regular polish after it leaves the door, and that's their policy. I understand they have policies, but come on, a little customer service goes a long way. My regular nail salon has done this a couple of times with no questions asked, as it's usually clear when it's a bad nail job vs. normal wear & tear. So then I said "Well, it would have been nice to be told that over the phone when I called, so that I was aware and didn't waste the trip over here". The owner then became really defensive and said "You didn't ask if there would be a charge when you called". I'm sorry, but why do I need to spell it out for you? I clearly said my polish was horrible within a day, can I come in for a re-do? That certainly doesn't mean "Can I come in and pay more for you to redo my crappy mani?" Her lack of interest in making this right and her poor attitude toward me left a horrible taste in my mouth. So I left, not because I don't have the money to pay $10 for a polish change, but for the principle. Customer service is so important, and could have saved this negative review, as well as the news I will share with all my friends, the mommy groups I'm in, etc. Owners should certainly understand how important it is to please clients, and I'm so disappointed I couldn't make this my new "go to" spot. I guess their policies are more important than future business. I also read one of the owner's responses below for another negative review, and that alone should show their lack of customer service. Responses to complaints shouldn't be defensive, aggressive or catty, which is what I sense in the response (and exactly what I sensed today coming from her). I'll be surprised if they continue to grow & be successful with this sort of service/attitude. read more

I went to this salon as it had amazing Yelp reviews & I needed something local to my neighborhood that offered dip nail polish. I booked an appointment online through the Yelp tool and had an appointment later that day for a pedicure and dip manicure. First of all, when I went to the salon, I was looking for white dip SNS nail polish. The man, Tony, doing my nails, proceeded to warn me that it would turn yellow, which is NOT true. This is true for gel or regular nail polish but not for dip as I have had it many times. I did appreciate him warning me though, even though it was not accurate. He then advised me to select this color that wasn't "white white." Let me say, I was not comfortable-- I was constantly leaning forward for him to do my nails, as I was supposed to be relaxing, enjoying my "me time." My nails ended up coming out EXTREMELY thick and they look like little bubbles on my fingers but after an hour of sitting in an uncomfortable chair, with other time obligations, I did not have the ability to wait another hour to have them redone. More so, they're now yellow which is NOT supposed to happen. I've had white dip several times & this is the first time this has ever happened to me. On the other hand, the women, Helena? I believe, that did my pedicure was terrible. First of all, my nails were not cut straight or shaped well. Second of all, she put clear nail polish on my toes that had red in it!! AND instead of wiping it off and starting over, she put more color nail polish and then clear polish leaving my toes to dry cracked. Moreover, she started cleaning while I was still in the chair and yelled at me for trying to move my feet to accommodate her. And the weirdest part yet, she didn't even help me put on my shoes which is basic at EVERY. NAIL. SALON. I called the salon to let them know about the poor pedicure I received (not my nails, as I was leaving for vacation and didn't have an hour and a half to have them be taken off and redone) and they were able to offer me a polish change during my lunch break. This time, the polish was MUCH Better, but it made me laugh how the lady asked if she could file and "shape" my toes, which is a clear indicator that it was not done properly the first time. Anyways, I am not coming back here. I will save my money for another salon that knows how to do a proper dip manicure and pedicure. In response to the reply: there was no offer to my nails on the day of my appointment as noted above. And I'm so glad that you fixed my toe polish as it had red from the clear polish from the previous person. If I wanted my toe nails to look that poorly, I would have done it myself and with CLEAN nail polish. Like mentioned, horrible service and clearly not an apologetic company. An apology would suffice. For over 20 years, I have visited almost all of the Nail Spas in the Burbank Area. This one is 'hands down' THE BEST. The owner is always on site, she is meticulous about her space, her nail stations, the environment and her employees and customers. It is her caring and family-oriented approach that makes this a warm, clean, friendly and always inviting salon. The employees are treated well, so they in turn treat all of the customers like gold. Everything is clean, bright, well-maintained and modern with a touch of comfort and serenity. I love the amenities - from the restroom to the seating, to the products, to the choices of how to pay, it is modern and comfortable. The women at the front desk are professional and attentive, patient and kind. The technology for confirmations via phone / email is very helpful and efficient. Went in yesterday to get my dip redone. I had previously went to another nail salon that did a crappy job on my nails . After looking at all the reviews at nail ink I decided to request Lee. Lee did an amazing job, in fact my nails have never looked this great. She also informed me that I in fact didn't have dip on my nails but acrylic!!! Last week I went in for a gel pedicure with Leah and she did an amazing job. She has a great personality and constantly made sure I was comfortable and satisfied with the service she was giving me. She is very approachable and easy going and made my experience there that much better. I was very impressed with how clean and sanitary the salon is. The receptionists are amazing as well and in my time there I constantly saw them sanitizing polishes, doors, polish samples and so forth. I called for an appointment and they got me in within 15 minutes of my call. The front desk girls were sweet and had a LOT of gel color options. Leah was my technician and she was AMAZING. She was meticulous and talented. I walked in with short nails and awful cuticles, but she was a master and made my nails look amazing. Nail Ink is definitely my go-to nail salon now! I've been several times since they opened and because they're just a quick walk from my office, I have been able to call a few minutes ahead when I know I've got some spare time. All of the girls are really sweet and I've been very happy with all of my services. My one complaint (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that they have a truly lack luster selection of gel polish. I know not everyone is into glitter or that "fairy dust" that seems to be popular, but if they had even a few selections of these, I'd be able to bring my best friend's 18yr old with me too (she and I enjoy getting our nails done together). Once their selection of polish improves, this will definitely be our place! But for now, i'll keep going by myself. read more

I'm really sad to have to write this review because I used to really love this salon, but after my experience today, I was very disappointed. I have been seeing Kathy for a while now and she is hands down the best nail technician I have ever had! I moved out of Burbank last year but because I love her work so much I was driving almost 2 hours (with traffic) to come see her. I arrived today and was informed she was running 30 minutes behind which I was ok with. Since I had to wait I figured I would see if I could get an arm wax. The employee was friendly but right away I knew she didn't know what she was doing. I have been an esthetician for 18 years now and when I get waxing services done I don't like to mention that I am an esthetician as well because I don't want to make anyone nervous or feel like they are being watched. This being said, there were several things I noticed that I felt I could help her with. The biggest being the fact that the wax was too warm so it was very runny and getting everywhere, including all over her hands, bed and clothes. Again, I didn't want to mention I was an esthetician because I could tell she was nervous and didn't really know what she was doing. The whole experience was rough but I thought to myself, it's not her fault, she just needs training. I was glad to be done and now it was time to get my nails done. As usual, Kathy did an amazing job on my nails! When I went to pay, I told the owner that I wasn't trying to be rude but my wax experience was not good and I thought the esthetician needed training. She asked me what was not good about it and I said the wax was too warm which made it really runny and messy to where it even got on my pants. She responded by saying there are different kind of waxes and thank you for the feedback. I honestly was dumbfounded and disappointed by her response. I came here last month and got a gel manicure one day before I was leaving on a three week trip to Europe. I have been here before and my manicure was extremely rushed, A friend of mine also came here and had her gel nails chip within just a few days, even though I wasn't completely confident about returning because of my prior experience and also my friend's experience I still came back, terrible mistake!!!! Within three days of my gel manicure, while I was in Europe three nails chipped! Literally every day after the nails were easily chipping. I was so upset that my gel nails were chipping faster than a regular manicure and since I was out of the country I could not return and have them fixed. It was extremely frustrating that I thought I would have nice nails while I was on vacation but instead my nails looked horrendous! The front desk were very helpful and easily made and an appointment in a short. We arrived at appointed time and got an excellent service from the beginning till the very end. Want to say that even she is young master but she's been doing really good and careful. She interviewed about any issues i had before and professionally started work on my pedicure. I've got an issue with my right toe and she treated it very gentle and careful. The way she treated us and the final work she did with my pedicure and manicure amazed me and she really met my expectations. Kairo or Kaira, front desk receptionist is so rude!!! She has to have the last word!!! It first time with my daughter, and she got all mad we didn't tell her we wanted a design on the gel. "You need to let us know in advance", so I said it's not a big deal, it's a happy face she wants, it's pretty simple. She says "it's a design, e we have to prepare". Prepare what?!? She made me pull up a picture of a French tip for myself 3 times with 3 different technicians, which then one decided they could do it. I told then the picture is from your website, you guys should be able to do it, that's why I'm there! She proceeded to get irritated. My pedicure wasn't done simultaneously, so I asked why I'm not getting my pedicure, and she asked if I have my vaccination card! I said no one told me that. She says," yes they did !" How would you know?!? Did you talk to me??? No. She proceeds with, I know they did, and it was back and forth. She was relentless. Do I said cancel the pedicure, I don't have time, and no one mentioned a vaccination card or unvaccinated at all! She proceeds to say I have to pay for the cancellation!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!? I can't and I won't. One of the worst experiences ever!!! And both are nails are shitty!!! Customer service is in the dumps. Never returning. I've been coming to Nail Ink for about four years now. It's safe to say this review is long overdue. But I recently discovered the amazing effects of dipped powder. I teach hot yoga and as much as I love gel, from being in the hot rooms so much my gel mani began to peel off too soon. The dipped powder stays for 4 weeks or more with no chips or nothing. I love the atmosphere of Nail Ink. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Free complimentary beverages such as water, tea, or mimosas. As well as complimentary warm neck rubs.(just gotta ask) All of their tech ladies are amazing. I personally love the work of Leah for my dipped powder or Violet for gel mani or pedi.
