Actually been going here for a while since before covid and i really liked getting my nails here. I came back here recently and was left quite disappointed in the lowered quality, effort, and a steep increase in price. I came here with bare nails with wanting a simple glitter coat. The nails took around 20minutes - it was so fast. All she did was glitter and before a similar design like this in 2021 would be like 40$ with gel removal included. This time i was charged 70$ + tip.. i was honestly quite shocked when i heard the price. Was not sure how something that was done as quick as 20minutes and no design, no gel removal really cost that much. Not to mention the gel nail started peeling after a week or so. Not sure what happened or changed but super disappointed. I understand theres inflation and prices have been increasing nowdays but this was a bit too much. read more

I hate giving bad reviews to small businesses but I think the 4.5 stars is misleading. I saw the pictures/reviews posted here and they were all positive so I made an appt with Jennifer a week in advance and saw her a few days ago. I gave her my inspo picture but I don't think she carried out the vision of what I had expected from the design. It could have been more detailed/true to the picture, even if my nails were shorter. I also feel like she rushed and didn't give my gel enough time to set before doing another layer. The whole appt was about 30-35 minutes (including waiting for her to finish her previous appt) and her next appt was already coming in towards the end of my appt. The results of this: only 2 days later, my gel is already peeling and chipping. It's a bit of a disappointment for paying $60+tip for a gel mani and not being satisfied. *EDIT: I did message her about this and she offered for me to come in and fix it. I've been going to Jennifer consistently since 2018 (minus several months during the outset of COVID), and she never fails to give me nails that everybody wants to see and compliments. Before I get into the rest of the review, I think it's important to note that Jennifer specializes in DESIGN EMPHASIZED GELS. If you want the whole spa experience, go somewhere else. The whole process is fairly simple, I text her for an appointment, I show up, get my previous gels removed and new gels applied and I'm out of there in typically less than an hour. I always show her pictures of the designs I want or the style/colors I'm looking for and she does her best to match and design my nails with me. She has a great selection of colors, gems, stickers and other design elements. My nails typically can last anywhere from 5-7 weeks with a bit of lifting on the edges. I typically go every 5-6 weeks depending on how long my nails get. I personally love that she's fast because who has time these days to just sit at a nail salon for two hours with your hands tied? Some may say she is expensive but her base price is comparable to many of the chain nail salons, and the price only goes up when you start to add additional design elements. Even then she is much more affordable than other korean nail designers I've been too. The only gripe I have is that she's getting so busy these days and it's harder to get appointments! She's so good and so deserving of the business but the selfish part of me wishes I could've kept her my little secret forever. read more

I found Jennifer through Yelp and she did not disappoint! Ever since I found her, I've been going to her every month! She's always so patient and accommodating. Her service is 5 stars on its own, and her work is amazing! She can do whatever designs you want, or even help you decide what you would like. Her station is always so clean and tidy, and she does your nail really quick. She may be fast with her work, but her attention to details are immaculate. Never once I have been unsatisfied by her. It's my first time to have my nails done by Jennifer. Thanks to other Yelpers' recommendation! She is fabulous! I just showed her a picture of the design I like. After a glimpse of the picture, she said no problem and let me pick the color I prefer. This is my second review and I've been coming to Jennifer for the past 7 months. I am still impressed and very satisfied with her work! I love that I can come in, show her a picture on pinterest of how I want my nails done, and she is able to replicate it. What I also love is that she gets my nails within the hour or less. This helps me tremendously with timing especially since I just had a baby recently. I highly recommend anyone to come and book an appt with her! She may not have an availability on the same day like other places, but it's worth the wait! And the gel nails last a long time! Jennifer's work makes me LOVE getting my nails done. I found Jennifer through Instagram and loved her cute, whimsical designs. Making an appointment with her via text was so easy. She works at a desk stationed inside a Korean hair Salon, and on my first visit I was incredibly impressed with the quality and speed of her work. My nails are flawless, perfects edges on all sides, no bubbling, exactly what I asked for from the plushy gel color to the stones, and it didn't take over an hour like the other Korean nail salon I used to frequent where I came out a bit disappointed each time from less than stellar attention to detail. Jennifer's work is not only consistently perfect, they last so long (I'm rough on my nails) , the stones do not budge or get caught in my hair at all. I am super impressed with the quality of her work and the quality products she uses. On my last visit I went out of my comfort zone and asked for larger stones (she has a huge beautiful collection of Amazing unique nail gems!!!) I am so happy with my nails I could not stop looking at them. Strangers could not stop looking at them, I get complimented at least once a day. I randomly found Nail J thanks to many good Yelp Reviews. Not only was Jennifer super responsive, but also incredibly accommodating and sweet in fitting me in on a busy Saturday. Her nail salon is located inside a hair studio. But there are plenty of free parking in the plaza. I always keep my nails very short, so it's really difficult for most nail artists to come up with a pretty design. (At least that's what they tell me) Jennifer complimented my hands/nails and took a lot of time to perfect her designs and took great care of my nails and cuticles. She was extremely detail oriented and caring. It is very clear that she is passionate about her work and cares about her client's satisfaction before her own gains and profit. Make sure to text or call at least a week in advance. The salon can get bit hectic because of the hair customers. Chemical smell from the hair salon is a bit overwhelming at first, but you won't be disappointed by Jennifer's work and her generous pricing. Feel free to tip her extra if you like her work. I went to Nail J for the 1st time. I've been searching for a new nail technician and unfortunately this is not the one. She is quick to respond to my appt. inquiry which I appreciated. Reasonably priced at $60 for gel mani and pedi, I thought. However, my nails turned out horrible! My old gel was not fully removed and I was able to see the old color through the new gel polish. I made mention of this to her and she tried to fix it by adding another layer of the new gel. She kept layering the gel until it was nothing but a glop of gel on top of my nails. I had to search for a new place to redo it because not only did it look terrible, it was so uncomfortable to wear. I also tried to reshape them myself with no luck at making them look better. As far as the pedicure, she had me soak in just water, no soap. I would have assumed she would use cuticle oils or something, nothing.
