I swear I didn't do my own pedicure--this is from a salon where I paid $160 for a gel pedicure and dip manicure. I normally wouldn't post, but I have to question why the owner hires nail techs who aren't qualified for the prices they charge. If this were a $25 pedicure, fine--but it's not, and they're in a prime area. First, my manicure was botched. I quietly left and called the next day to have Vivi fix it, which she did (and did amazing). I let that go. But now this pedicure? Two different techs, same issue--messy work that doesn't match the price point. $160 plus tip for this is ridiculous. read more

At the time of writing this review, I have been exclusively going to Treat A Salon and Spa for Men's haircuts for over a year. It's a real gem to find a barber whom consistently delivers the cuts you need, and also finds a way to surprise and flatter based on the customers' individuality. I have been able to look forward to a fresh cut each and every time under the masterful work by Henry, a stylist of remarkable zen-like composure and swift execution. At his suggestion, I have made it a habit of searching for and saving photos of hairstyle influences before each visit (for reference) to help the co-creative process of my next cut. In my first visit, he took my carefree ponytail (a sort of) "anti-hairstyle," and he transformed it into a lively low maintenance mohawk that bordered between respectable and rebellious. For me, it showcased an often times taken-for-granted ability to listen to the customer, clarify goals, and over deliver. It was a heavily complimented haircut by my work colleagues, friends, and new neighbors, all of which I responded, "Thank you, I got it at Treat A Salon and Spa." In my most recent visit, I had two conflicting styles I was interested in. After spending a significant amount of time on one style (texturizing the top and shortening the sides), and taking additional care for the more challenging areas, I apologized to Henry for the extra work already done, before I requested to go in the other direction, if it wasn't too late. Wasn't a problem. When the cut was about finished, he allowed me some time to double check and he respectfully provided feedback regarding finishing touches and relevant product suggestions. Additionally, reminding me that I could come in the next day for a touch up for any minor changes if needed. Moved by this experience, I have made an extended effort to express my gratitude to not only Henry, but to the owner (Sally) as well, for her remarkable work and business aesthetic, a sort of peaceful vibrance, which I've continually enjoyed at Treat Salon and Spa, and to further praise her business I write this review. The location is at The Village at Irvine Spectrum, which is of the utmost convenience for any and all residents on site, and about a 5 minute drive (or less) for anyone from neighboring apartment communities (The Park, Centerpointe, Los Olivos, and Promenade). It should also be considered by any nearby employees and corporate workers, in and around the Irvine Spectrum, or really anyone passing through taking the 5 freeway or 405 freeway. Made a same day appointment here for a gel manicure, a regular pedicure, and brow threading. Great service and extremely reasonable prices! Everything took ~1.5 hrs and was very efficient, it was nice to be able to do my mani/pedi and eyebrow threading at the same place. Vivi did my detailed/design gel mani, and Tina did my pedicure - was a great experience and would recommend them both! Vivi was super nice and very attentive to detail and helpful with answering my questions. She did this abstract nail design with ease and I would definitely recommend her, especially if you want any type of design/detail (she can also do more complicated designs vs what I got done this time in the photos). Note that it's intentional that one of my nails is shorter (I had chipped one but wanted to keep the length on the others - Vivi asked if I wanted to make them the same length but I asked to keep them).
