I was in need of a quick pedicure, and since my regular salon is a bit far, I decided to go to Nail Trix & Spa. I should have known better--this is the third time I've gone there since moving to Fairwood nine years ago, and unfortunately, the experience has been consistently negative. Each time, the staff has been rude. This time was no different. First, they asked me to pay via Zelle, but I told them I preferred to use my card. Then, before the pedicure was even finished, they asked me to pay and even asked how much I was planning to tip. That felt very pushy and unprofessional. To make matters worse, when I pointed out a spot she had missed while painting, the technician handed me the nail polish and told me to fix it myself. Took my friend here to have a nice girls day and ended up utterly disappointed. Got there they took my friend straight to her pedicure and had me waiting about 10 minutes, no problem. was texting my friend back & forth and realized they had her sitting in the chair even after they took me to start my fill in. she was waiting on them to start her nails for about 30 minutes. The lady doing my nails was drilling so hard my nails felt super sensitive and I kept flinching and she was pulling me telling me to keep still. why else would i be moving unless it was hurting?? anyway, once we got to the colors she said they didn't have the one i requested, so i requested a different color. she proceeds to bring over 5 different colors that aren't even close to the one i requested. finally, for her last act, she has me go to the wall and try to decide on a color that way. unfortunately i ended up picking a horrid color because I couldn't see a swatch, but i was too annoyed to have her change it. when it was time to pay i was charged $55 for a fill in that's currently peeling and i was there a few hours ago. we called to clarify the charges and they confirmed they never informed us for the extra services they charged us for but said theres nothing they can do. will never be returning or recommending this place to anyone! read more

I usually frequent this business because it's convenient, but I will stop after this visit. Very sloppy , uneven work (especially the pinky and middle finger) and this nail shape is literally insane. I asked for square shape and this was the result. Mani/ pedi came out to $107 . My jaw almost dropped to the floor. I don't know what all the naysayers are about but I've been to Nail attic 3 times and I've had nothing but pleasant experiences. My main guy whose name I can't recall was awesome on my first visit. I picked a very light color and as a result we put 5 coats on to ensure I had the same color of the polish bottle - without me asking. The second time I came in for a foot polish change and my girl whose name I can't recall (yes! For real!) did a very neat job PLUS did a fantastic job on my eyebrows. I'm picky and she was great! This week, I went to Kevin and he was polite, very neat and patient. He had to remove the five coats of gel that my first guy put on I will continue visiting my friends at Nail Trix. Update to the Update :) Since last summer Quyen has been my nail tech. Love her! Make an appointment. UPDATE: Ti is no longer at Nail Trix. I used Mandy on my last visit and was pleased. She was attentive and did a good job. I like staying local so I think this will work for me. An appointment is still recommended for Mandy's services as she is popular too. Make an appointment with Ti. After I discovered her several years ago I don't use anyone else unless she's away. And even then she recommends who I should use in her absence. I really appreciate her looking out for her customers if she's going to be gone for an extended period. I am a regular for a pedi and eyebrow wax and she takes her time and makes sure to get it right. Very bad nails and very expensive. For refill she charge me $47 and which I know should be more than $25 regular & $35 for gel. Please don't go here. They speak English but they will be speaking in their language and that's very rude and disrespectful. When your guts is telling you something please listen to it. I wanted to do designs she told its $20 for designs and where I did my nails for the first time everything was $50 with my designs. I told her that's when I should have got up and leave. My nails was not properly done and she was in a hurry. she just wanted me to go and pay. I spoke to the receptionist that my nails were not done properly she looked at it told me that I have to and come back for her to fix the mess. At that point i was done and I know what to do. I hate to write this review because this shop has some of the best nail techs, but I have to warn others. On Saturday I went in for a SNS manicure, pedi and eyebrow waxing. All services I have received at the shop before. I didn't have a long wait and was even able to get my favorite nail tech. Manicure went AMAZING. When she took me to the waxing room, she helped me get up on the table so I would not mess up my nails. She immediately started dipping the stick in wax (I cannot swear you whether or not it was a new stick or wax and I must be more careful). I'm used to getting my eyebrows waxed so I'm used to the heat but this wax was EXTREMELY hot and I had a feeling this was not going to be good. Upon completion I could feel my skin still burning but I thought that maybe my skin was sensitive because it has been a while. I saw myself in the mirror and my skin was a little red. I received my pedicure, paid and left. Well hours later the skin around my brows was sensitive and felt like it was burning. The first set of pictures are from later that night, the second is from today. My scars are horrible, they hurts and I have major events this weekend. Please do not go to this place. I had the worst experience ! I have never been treated so disrespectful in my life! The service there was extremely poor and the people were so rude and made me want to throw up. When I first arrived for service I was moved around to four different booths. Finally someone decided (after playing would seem like a game of Eany Meany Miny Moe) to service me. When I finally got to a station, the nail technician began my manicure. Full disclosure, I am a person with a disability who has some dexterity issues so anytime I get my nails done it requires someone with Patience. As she started to work on my hands, I noticed that her and the other nail techs started speaking in their own language. I don't know what they were saying but I could just tell they were talking about me. Then suddenly they all just started laughing hysterically as if they were cracking jokes about my situation. I asked for a specific design which I showed the nail tech. She said that I cannot do the design because I do not have the correct tools however I noticed that each of the nail techs had the exact same tools and other people were getting designs. Then she proceeded to tell me that I cannot do a design on you because your hand is crooked. I asked for a very simple design which only included straight lines. I asked her to do every other finger because I know they charge by the finger. She insisted on putting the design on every finger Except one thumb on my right hand which is affected the most. I asked her why she put the desert want every finger when I only asked for every other finger she didn't answer me. And then I said OK if you're going to do it ever finger what about my right thumb there is no design on that one and the nail tech said "Well no one is going to see that one anyway... I cannot do ". I am well aware of my challenges with my hands which is why I always make sure to bring someone with me to help support as they are giving me my manicure. Mind you I wasn't even getting any tips. This was to be done on my regular nails which I would assume will be cheaper than getting an acrylic full set. My natural nails are fairly long to begin with so why would I do that? Even after my horrible experience they wanted to charge me $45 and would not redo the sloppy design. At this point, I am livid and started to ask questions and refused to pay. Oh I was so angry that they ended up taking only $10 off. I paid $35 just to keep from calling any trouble but I am highly disappointed in the finished product and feel highly disrespectful to me this place is extremely overpriced and they are extremely rude. read more

I would really like the OWNER to get in touch with me! I left there today pissed off 4 hours to be disrespected $104 later for a piss poor job and 3 people later. I went in to get a fill in and a pedicure. I waited an hour to be seen yet everyone else was seen before me to be forgot about and have to keep asking them. I was ignored and this is my 3rd time here. The first time the nail tech messed up my nails wouldn't put the color I wanted on. I didn't know it was regular, but the gel wasn't the sane color. She was pissed because I decided to get regular. Her name was Meme. They act like they should be telling me what to doband what color they want when I'm paying. She purposely messed up my polish. And as she was doing my nail kept adding $5 charges and I had in my ear piece and my sister got so mad, she said what kind of place are you at. Leave there now. I asked for the manager, and Queen came over, and I told her I asked and was quoted my price and she went up $5 3 times and my nails are a mess. She stated I should have her Helen or Kathy do my nails from now on and said I could leave. Meme then comes screaming from the back running shouting "you pay $5 several times it was embarrassing and ghetto and the place was crowded. I looked back and told her I already spoke to the manager. That was 2 months ago. 3 weeks ago Helen did my nails, they was ok. I went back today 5/28/22 after work because 2 of my real nails and the overlay lifted and to get a pedicure and Fill in. From 3 pm until close I was there, like a musical human. They pissed me off, after 4 hour my pedi was done by Tammy, she took her time. She didn't do gel so I got regular polish on my feet, this time. I asked when I came in while I waited for a soak off of 2 nails, Ignored! The next lady was sn old lady named Jennifer, disrespectful on every level. Wasn't listening to me after she already clipped away at my 2 nails. Then went to go cut my nails down! I told her no these are my real nails I just get an overlay! This Hoffa tells me no I cut your nails no good my nails are natural & long. And no you can't cut them and do what you want to. They started speaking in their language. Queen turned around and tried to help, but NOBODY was trying to listen, just making their own perception in their language. Jennifer was trying to pimp my pockets saying my nails we lifting but it was the only 2 I wanted soaked off. Because she couldn't do what she wanted to do to my nails and the manager Queen had to reiterate to her several times to just soak them all off. She gets the soak and then leaves and start doing someone's feet right next to me! Then another lady comes Kim or Tiem, to do my nails. She took the gel off cleaned them up, put oil on them and was like I'm done. I had no overlay, 3 uneven nails, seriously. I can't believe I remained calm, I wanted to go off but remained quiet speaking and respectful. I told her you have to pit overlay and tips on the 3 broken nails. She says oh I thought you wanted a manicure I came in for a fill in that was new and 3 weeks old wth! She did my nails and when I asked Queen for the owner she said he never here. I told her I will make a complaint and she said find somewhere else to go! Wow! And then the lady Kim said I'm trying to help you so stop talking! I politely in a small voice told her it's sad to pay your money for a service and be disrespected! I will not be back and I will write a review! Like she did me a favor doing my nails and they look like this! Streaks I the polish. White stuff all over my nails. Polish is sticky, I will be going back for a repolish tomorrow! And making a BBB complaint. By the time I got home across the street, my feet looked like it was kicking flower. I was shocked! I kept telling Kim I don't want that glue stuff all on my fingers. She said I will oil it and it will be gone. By the time I stepped outside in natural light my son and myself looked at my nails and they was a mess but they were closed. Damn shame! DONT GO HERE! Yeah, so I didn't even get the "pleasure" of getting my nails done. Everything says they close at 8pm, so imagine my surprise when I arrived at 7:15 and the door was locked. The nail technician came to the door and I asked her what are their hours. She tells me they close at 8. I reminded her it's not 8 and she said they closed early. So again, I ask what they hours are. She tells me they close at 8. I ask what time they open, and she rolls her eyes and tells me 10. I like this place, I live right around the corner so the location is very convenient. Lately, I have been going to Julie and she is great. She listens to what I want and does an amazing job. The facility has an Italian motif and it pretty clean. They started to put plastic bags, sort of like shower caps in the pedicure bowls so they don't have to clean after every person. Not sure if this is super smart, being that they still have to drain the bags in the bowl so technically all the foot stuff is still getting in the bowl. Idk The price is pretty comparable to other places. $30 for a gel manicure and about $20ish for a pedicure. I'll keep going back. read more

I've had a manicure/pedicure done here a few times and I've always left happy. The staff is really nice and actually listens to you. I've been to so many places where they don't even ask you what type of pedicure you want, they just start doing the most luxurious one and then of course charge accordingly. The location is really convenient and there's a huge parking lot. Also, since the place is pretty big and they are well staffed, wait times are typically pretty minimal. I decided to have one last outing with a friend before i relocated and Nail Trix was on the schedule. Came in and they were short staffed so we waited 30mins for 2 techs and things got started. Didn't think nothin of it cause it was the weekend. Tech started off saying my feet were dry and i needed to come more often in shitty English but i ignored her cause i thought i had been out for a min too but then as she got to work she said it again and again and then started a conversation with other tech again in shitty English. At this point i began to get upset. Next, as if things weren't bad enough... the tech cut me. Not like a small scratch, she cut a chunk of skin off my foot. Blood started and she tried to cut me again but i yanked foot away. As I'm tryin to take the pain she moves to other foot and cuts me again. The final straw was when she came with paraffin and applied and moved on to work on another mans feet. As i called her over cause i was fed up she tried to unsanitarily touch my feet with the gloves she was wearing from the other guy! I would give less than 1 star if possible. My daughter and I went to get a pedicure on Saturday. Upon our arrival the shop did not seem that busy. We were asked to wait 10-15 minutes to be serviced. We were seated in our chairs and the mail technician started by being rude. Her and the another technician were arguing about something which I thought was extremely unprofessional. She kept sucking her teeth like she did not want to be there. She was very rough yanking on my leg and foot during my pedicure. I asked the young lady at the front desk if there was another technician that could help me, because the lady obviously had a limited skill set to say the least. I asked the technician to stop, the front desk lady apologized and admitted that there has been issues with the technician in the past. The manager did NOTHING. I love getting my nails done here with my girl Thi!!! They give great customer service and Thi never disappoints no matter what I request, from a normal manicure to SNS and she is fantastic with ombre. They serve water, sodas, and wine. They give birthday discounts as long as you can prove it with your ID. I definitely recommend this place. The best time to go is during the week when it's less packed and there is no wait. The weekends tend to be more crowded because it's the weekend of course lol. Another amazing thing about this place is that it's even open on majority of all holidays which is great if you need to go somewhere before an important holiday party. read more

1:15 on a Friday afternoon, pretty busy. Polish options not great. Waited briefly to be shown to a pedicure chair. Water was cool but Receptionist left me b4 I could say anything. Waited 15 mins for Daniel to begin pedicure. Water was COLD by then. He warmed it to my liking. Chose midgrade ($45) pedicure. Great job except for when it came time to apply polish. Daniel slid my feet into my sandals but didn't put them all the way on (I wore thong sandals). I pulled something in my abdomen trying to awkwardly reach to pull my sandals all the way on. With intentions on getting a fill-in, I was greeted by a male technician who advised me to pick my polish. I chose a trendy chrome green style that was on the front desk's display and the nail tech started on my nails immediately. The guy rushed the entire time, neglecting to even file my nails in a cohesive shape! Some were round. Others were coffin or square. He cut my fingers and cuticles so badly, they were throbbing. Not to mention, he had no idea how to create the chrome green design that was ON DISPLAY! I ended up stopping the nail tech as he continuously rubbed acetone on my cut cuticles. I politely addressed my concerns with the manager who stood near by. She too, noticed that my nails were poorly done and assured that she would fix them. She removed the polish and started my fill in all over. Yet again, the manager also didn't know how to do the green chrome nail design that was ON DISPLAY!!! One of my hands had green nails and the other hand had turquoise nails! They looked worse than when I walked in. At this point, 2 hours had gone by, and the manager attempted to charge me $50 (suggesting that she took $10 off of the original $60). When I asked the manager if she would post pictures of my poorly done nails on her business page, she declined to respond. Not once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience. The manager even argued and threatened to call security if I didn't pay the full $50. The entire experience was a joke! Today I visited this Nail Trix Salon. I have been to the one in Baltimore (although I am not sure they are related). This experience was pleasant but the nails were not. I wanted to do a mani with yellow French tips. The nails did not come out as the picture with the limited supplies. The tips applied were too large for my nails. Normally when I go to salons, I keep quiet if I don't like the service. This time I spoke up. I liked my pedicure but I did not like my manicure. I am not by any means trying to be an A-hole but as a business owner, I'm a stickler for customer service... Pros: The lady buffed my feet very nicely, I normally have to tell the pedicurist that they can feel free to go hard. They have beverage selections They have a nice range of colors. Cons: Waited like 15-20min with my feet in the water, had to heat up the water again Whenever she wanted me to put a foot forward, she actually slapped(not tapped) my leg! Way too aggressive. Suggested that I get the salt scrub, which I politely declined. She then went on about it twice saying that my legs are not smooth at all and my feet are very dirty so I needed to scrub them. Did not EVEN bother to file the nails on my feet at all, just cut them with a nail clipper. Painted my polish super thick and messy on both hands and feet. They had a ton of bubbles (when I asked her about the bubbles, she said I held my hands too close to the fan) And lastly Kicked my shoes out of her way on her way over to her station.
