They offered us a complimentary beverage menu, we all went with hot green teas and we all got pedicures. I feel terrible for not remembering our nail technicians names but I remember Kaila! She was the front desk lady that checked us in, seated us and brought us our drinks. She was very sweet and very attentive. Although I did a walk-in, I would recommend an appointment because it filled up quickly around noon. They also offer facials, eyelash extensions, and other services. Seldom have I frequented nail salons: In my previous experience, they felt more like sweatshops where the employees were not well-respected and conditions could be unpleasant, or livestock processing operations where the customers were just things to be shuffled in and out as quickly as possible. Often both. Recently, desperate to fix my troubled nails, I stumbled across Nailoscope via Google and Yelp, and gave them a try. From the moment they answered my phone call to schedule my same-day appointment to the moment I walked out the door post-appointment, I was absolutely and thoroughly impressed. Many businesses claim to focus on customer service, when often that's just not the case these days. However, Nailoscope truly does care about the client experience in every regard. The salon itself is exceptionally clean, well-kept, and comfortable. The stations are adequately spaced apart, and there weren't any strong smells as is so often the case. The staff works as a close team. They offer complimentary champagne/beverages, and each person there was wonderful - friendly, considerate, and professional. I'm not a big small-talker, and Lucy, my technician, seemed to understand this immediately and didn't bombard me, but rather asked a question now and then, or offered a thought. Lucy and her work are amazing! I am not easy on my hands or nails, so I went with a gel polish. It looks PERFECT, and is absolutely bulletproof: Over a week later, it's still glossy, unscathed, and not lifting anywhere. Her skill with the polish was somewhere in the ballpark of miraculous. I went in with my nephew to get pedicures and my eyebrows waxed. The salon was beautiful and spacious. It smelled wonderful and everything looked clean. It was my nephews first time getting a pedicure, but Jane and Tina went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. I'm a picky person but Jane did a amazing job on my eye brows. I want to like this place but my first visit left me debating whether or not I'll go back. The place is clean and has a shiny new feel. With so many chairs and stations, I didn't think the wait would be too bad. But with less than a third of the stations and chairs being used, the wait for a walk-in was roughly 45 minutes. No one offered a drink or snack or suggested looking at colors or a menu of services or prices during this time. I asked for Gel-x plus a cuticle trim and a pedicure (not gel). I asked for square to squoval shaped with the length just past my fingers. The first tech started on the pedicure. Even though I repeatedly answered her question about wanting plain polish, not gel, she brought over the store manager (??) to clarify so I gave in and said I'd take either. Of course, the manager told her I'd have gel. Just after this, another tech came to do my nails. I told her what I wanted. When I could see the nails were going to be too long, I told her. She glared at me angrily and told me she would make them beautiful. When she asked about the shape, I told her what I wanted. She told me that wasn't what I wanted, glared angrily again, and I let it go again. (Side note: yes, I need to stand up for myself more.) I reminded her about my cuticle trim. After doing my nails, she did trim my cuticles but left some. Back to the pedicure ... While I was getting mine, I noticed someone else getting one that involved steam similar to a facial. I asked what this was and the tech doing my manicure, told me it was common now and suggested I try it next time. I said I'd think about it. Without asking me, the tech brought a steamer over and set it up on my legs. It was okay but nothing special. How did things wrap up? Checking out was a little strange. The manager (?) kept saying things about making my dreams come true and having a magical experience. It was awkward and over the top. The total price was a bit of a surprise. For the pedicure, when the tech brought over the steam, it apparently bumped my pedicure up to the gold something or other top of the line pedicure adding $25 or so to the without having given me all the elements of that pedicure. The incomplete cuticle trim was billed as a mid-level manicure, again without all the elements of that service. While standing there and listening to the manager go on about dreams being fulfilled, I considered questioning the price. I decided against it. I was intimidated by the one tech and typically do anything to avoid conflict. So, I paid and left dissatisfied. When I got home, I looked at my nails. Despite not being what I asked for and not doing a particularly thorough job with my cuticles, my nails seemed to be well done. My toe nails looked good as did the cuticles. The downside was the scrape on the ball of one of my feet. Thankfully, it didn't hurt but the skin was scraped like it had been rubbed down a cheese grater leaving a stripe of scrapes. I had wanted to love this place, feel comfortable, and make it a regular part of my routine. Now, I'm not so sure. If I do, I will try to be very clear about what I want, what services are being done, and what it costs. P.S. on parking - If yoga at CorePower is in session, don't count on finding a space in the lot. You'll need to look on the street. read more

First time going here, I had an appointment, but they were 45 minutes late in starting my services. They offered me a beverage and I asked for a green tea but never got it. I picked out a color and they didn't have it, which was fine. Then I picked out a second they did carry but they couldn't find it. Then I picked out a third but what I got was very different from the 3 colors I picked out. I picked out bright pinks for spring and what I got was a muted rose. Towards the end of my manicure the host came over looked at my nails said something to the technician then they both laughed. We smiled awkwardly at each other then she said "it's a good color on you". I requested almond shape french tip and the first nail tech did not know how to do this. If I could give less than a 0 score, I would. VERY upsetting experience at this nail salon and I would NEVER return and tell everyone not to go. I asked for a full set and normal pedicure. My pedicure was very below par, my nails were cut uneven and I was cut on two of my toes. Paint was even left on the surrounding skin and the woman was not friendly until the end asking me to make sure I come back again. My full set was an even bigger nightmare - I did not even finish the service. She cut my finger FOUR times in the same place with a hand file. She also cut my pinky finger, I was in so much pain I ended the service early, did not get the shape I asked for and did not even do paint. She said cutting me was because of the lighting. She wrote my ticket for the full price and did not tell the front desk how badly she had hurt me. When I tried to tell the front desk what happened she interrupted me to take a phone call and charged me 115$ (with TIP) for my "service". I took photos and videos, left and called right away and sent the photos and videos. I was promised a full refund on that follow up phone call. TWO DAYS LATER a manager called me and told me I needed to better understand what happened and all of the injuries were due to "new drill products being sharp when new". I tried to tell her she sliced me with the nail files and she interrupted me to tell me to try drinking chamomile tea to calm down and no refund would be issued. I requested to speak to the owner and she said could not happen due to being on vacation. She did "offer" to redo my nails and I strongly declined saying I can't even get my nails fixed right now due to the injuries your salon caused me and due to the lack of service I never want to go back, I only wanted to be refunded. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER and was never refunded! I was injured several times, have HORRIBLE nails, was charged for the enter service and was lied to. VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more

I have made this my new place to go get my nails done. The atmosphere is really nice looking but I have to say I don't feel as welcomed sometimes as my last place that wasn't fancy or anything but the nail techs new my name and always had a smile. They were genuine. Which was not so "upscale". They treated me like a person and not a number. This is the reason I left my original place when the owner ( who I knew on a first name basis) expanded and went more upscale. The person I see here regularly I found out recently used to own her own nail salon in the past. I like how straightforward and professional as well as knowledgeable and genuinely friendly she is and it comes from the heart. Just like I am with my clients. I am a small business owner myself. If it wasn't for her I would probably move on. I would like to mention I worked my entire life for tips. I am a 30% tipper. I appreciate how hard these women work. But listen up ladies , don't judge a book by its cover. I have always treated my celebrity clientele ( yes I had many before I moved here) just like the woman with no make up on in jeans and a t - shirt when they walk in my door.
