This was my first time here since the new owners bought it from Nick. My friend and I got there late on Sunday to find out they were getting ready to pack up and leave. We stood in the parking lot for a few minutes trying to find another nail salon when one of the ladies comes out and says they would stay and do our gel manis. I was happy but also worried that they would try to rush and finish the job since it was already a few hours past closing. On the contrary, they were very patient and took their time with us. My nails were grown out quite long, so it kind of hurt when she filed them all the way down instead of using nail clippers to trim them first. Needed to get a mani and pedi done desperately, I called at 6:30pm to see if I can get in before they close at 7pm. Thankfully it was a slow night (Tues night) and they said I can! Woohoo! I think they did a great job overall. The people are super nice (I don't know their names) and are very accommodating. They don't have a large selection of polishes so you can bring your own or just be aware of that. Place looked clean and since I stayed past closing time, I saw them cleaning/ wiping down each chairs and mopping the floors and everything so that was comforting to know they're cleaning the place at the end of the day. They had NCIS on so I was really hooked on watching that while they were just doing my nails haha. I think it's also great that they do each other's nails and design on each other nails. How fun! I really love this place. It's not some fancy salon or spa in Willow Glen or DTSJ, but it's clean and the work they do here (and the amazing prices!) have kept me coming back for the last 3 years! I usually come in for a gel mani ($30) and spa pedi ($20). Be prepared to be there for close to an hour bc they take their time on you! My gel mani always lasts for at least 4 weeks without chipping or lifting. The spa pedicures are a mini pamper sesh - the chairs are relaxing, the nail techs take their time cleaning up your cuticles, and the foot scrub/massage is awesome. All for $20! Lately, I've been opting for just a regular manicure to let my nail beds breathe a little in between gel manicures. And I've got to say, for only $10 you still get the whole 9 yards. They take their time cleaning up your cuticles, filing to get the perfect shape, and applying the nail polish cleanly and evenly. My regular manicures last around a week before I even see any sort of chipping, and I work with my hands constantly doing chores and crafting. :) They do accept walk-ins but it's better to make an appointment since they're a small shop with a steady stream of customers. I've been coming here since I was in high school, and there seems to have been a turnover in the staff since I went to college and a major redecoration effort. I went back for the first time in years last night, and I am amazed that prices haven't increased a cent- still only $10 for a manicure!! However... Had the most half hearted hand massage ever- it lasted perhaps 30 seconds per hand. The lotion was kind of gross, just an old victoria's secret one that was all chunky against my skin and it didn't absorb. The manicure was decent, but the skin around my nails could definitely have used some more cleaning. The guy also rushed me to leave--I know it was towards the end of the day, but I had made a reservation so I expect some courtesy! He insisted my nails were dry but of course they weren't and one smeared while I was paying. A great go-to place if you're in the area and need a quick emergency manicure (great hours!), but if I was better at planning I would probably have made an appointment at another nail salon. read more

I wouldn't go back to this place. It's a very small salon, but the lady who did my nails took forever and they were all crooked. I had to keep showing her the crooked ones and asking her to fix them, then she'd just look at me like i was crazy. I ended up coming here because I needed to find a salon that did pink and white and this is one of them in the Cupertino area that did so. But honestly, don't waste your money here. It's pretty bad and you won't be happy. Not only were my nails crooked even after telling her so many times to fix it, they were super thick too. They looked like claws! Not attractive at all. I came in about 30 minutes after they opened and they had a walk in appointment. The shop is a small place but it's clean and it doesn't have the super strong nail polish smell like some nail salons do. I got a gel manicure and the girl who did mine spent a good amount of time and did a wonderful job! I'm really picky about my nails so I was surprised that I loved them. I never knew Nick but I have been a customer of the new owner Mai for quite a few years. She does an amazing job on my nails (gel French tips). Lilly or Helen do my pedicures. These ladies take their time and do a great job. When I heard that Mai would be moving to Cupertino I was so upset. Her salon was so close to where I lived, the thought of driving to Cupertino seemed exhausting. I tried another local salon and was so disappointed! The 15 minute drive to Cupertino is well worth it. Change is hard, so give these ladies the opportunity to show you their skills when it comes to a mani/pedi. Mai is best for the nails, no doubt. She's also the new owner. This is my second time at this salon and I'm again very impressed. Tammy did my nails and took her time to make everything perfect. I appreciate her care so much that I want to leave a review. Due to reviews, I decided to go here. Had deluxe pedicure and French shellac for my birthday and self pampering. Plenty of parking. Very thorough and meticulous job. Deluxe pedicure involved a rough scrub but my tanned legs needed the exfoliation. Wendy mostly helped me, but also the manager who seemed to specialize in painting nails. Also had a warm wrap and legs/hand massage that came with deluxe. Since my mom was a manicurist, it was discomforting and unsettling to see how clients treat their manicurists in demanding tones. It's hard work and they are someone's mother, sister, or grandmother,so please be respectful and courteous. Dropped by but very busy Saturdays so prepare for some waiting time, even for appts. They will make you wait if you are late for appts. I saw a client walkout, but she was allegedly late an impatient about getting pampered. Clients seem to know each other from cupertino, I guess! This is my second time here and I requested for Nick. He treats nails like they are his own child so he does an amazing job at making them look great. I am always uncertain with what I should do with my nails so I just let him decide for me. And he comes up with the cutest things so I always leave satisfied. Since I am a student, I do get $25 acrylic manicure (originally $30). And it was my birthday, he designed my nails free of charge. Thanks Nick! Great deal. But you get what you pay for like everyone else here has said. I do a better pedicure on myself than they did. It was very rushed and actually, she pulled skin off my ankle bone while using the pumice stone/stick. It got away from her and my ankle bore the brunt of it. She neither acknowledged or apologized. Bottom line is that it's not great, but it is cheap. Would I go back? Not intentionally, but I will say that in a major pinch - date night etc where I had procrastinate like hell, I'd skip on over to Nails 2000 in that instance. read more

Whenever I'm near the South Bay, I make sure to stop by Nails 2000. Mai does such a good job and the nail art selections are amazing! So many options, colors, and quality services. The gels are great and last longer than most places. Mai is very strict with cleanliness and sanitation, which is why I come to this salon over others. She recently started participating in chemical testing to make sure all of her products meet high standards and not cause harm to the health of her customers and employees. This is my sister and I's go to place for getting our nails done. They are very nice and do a great job each time. The prices are the same as most nail places but they don't rush through the process and everything is clean. The massage chairs work, the nails stay on for a long time so can't ask for much else! Just be prepared to be there for a while since they take their time doing a good job. They also have a super cute doggie that hangs out at the shop! read more

What's with all these average ratings? I love Nails 2000 for various reasons. So normally I don't get my feet done, but when I do I get a french pedicure which is $15 here, great prices compared to other places! Not only does Nick do a great job but you can really tell he is quite the professional and knows what he's doing (again unlike other nail salons) I went in yesterday and was worried I wouldn't make it by 6pm but thankfully I called and they said to not worry and come. The customer service was great! (Offered me different magazines, sampled different colors) Originally we figured french wouldn't work well on my feet because they were too short but he definitely worked some kind of magic because in the end they looked awesome! I got my eyebrows waxed there too and they did a pretty good job of cleaning/shaping my brows! ($10) a very reasonable price. I've never had a problem with the staff or service of Nails 2000 the few times I've been there. They are super friendly and have a conversation that isn't awkward or uncomfortable. Took me in as a walk in, which was nice. However the manicure was sloppy and left me with lots of bubbles in my polish. I mentioned it and they just tried to fix them out by pouring nail polish remover over it and using their finger to smooth it out. Bubbles are still there but I can't feel them. French tip was very messy and I won't be coming back. Update: 2 days later the nail polish u totally cracking and looks terrible. I should have just gone to my regular place. I called around 11 in the morning to make an appointment for a friend and I to get a mani/pedi after work. We got there about 15 minutes early and there were two ladies waiting for us, and they got started right away. The ladies were incredibly sweet. It's true they did not speak a lot of English, but they spoke enough and made a few jokes, and chit chatted a little bit with me and my friend. The pedicure was great. There were some nice spa-like features, like the salt (maybe sugar) rub, and leg massage, for it being just a plain pedicure. I give MAJOR credit to the woman who did my feet. I have an ingrown toenail, and she trimmed the nail better than anyone ever has, and it is more comfortable now than it ever has been. She took extra time and attention, and it really seemed like she cared to get it right, and not just get done quickly. Manicure was good as well. I'm not from this area so I don't know how the prices compare. $48 for the pedicure and a fell manicure, which to me is average. I definitely felt like I got my money's worth and will go back! read more

I visited this Salon when I was on vacation. I went in based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. I know everyone talks about this guy "Nick" but from what I over heard, he doesn't work there anymore. Something about moving to Texas. BUT...I don't think it matters. These ladies took such great care of me. I went in and got a manicure and pedicure and felt so pampered. Spend the extra money on the Shellac. It just lasts so much longer. I think they even gave me a deal for it being my first time there. French manicure with Shellac and a regular Pedicure cost just $55 which I think is an awesome deal. DO NOT GO HERE! If you value your nails you will stay away! I just mad an appointment to have a couple of my acrylic nails removed they sat me in a corner and had me soak my nails in pure acetone for over 20 minutes! They completely forgot about me and had overbooked time. They do not know how to remove acrylic nails, and it took over 50min to have 6 nails removed. Because they had me soak my nails for so long my nails have disintegrated. I REGRET EVER COMING HERE, THE STARS FOR THIS PLACE ARE FAKE. read more

They don't want you to come here and treat yourself to some TLC. So what're you gonna do? Treat yourself. Major Didn't realize this place was so close to my house so decided to come with my mother. She got a manicure and I got a pedicure. Mani was $10, pedi was $18. They've got a good selection of nail colors and I guess if you're into OPI then they have a huge rainbow of colors. I can't speak to the manicure but the pedicure felt amazing, my feet feel buttery smooth. Nice small shop, they run a tight ship here but make you feel Comfortable. The bathroom was clean too and after your work, they put equipment in a sterilizer and clean the tubs afterward. Just be careful not to miss it as you turn into Imperial Ave, which the owner does remind anyone who calls which I gathered as she took a few calls from people either for walk ins or appointments. my friend brought me here this past saturday. ive never even seen it, a tiny little place near the post office. its clean, but very small. only 3 people working. the chairs looked nice and new, and their selection of nail polish was smaller than pinkys (where i regularly go). i got the guy, nick, i assume from the reviews. he was super quick, but i dont know if i like that. at pinkys, you get a longer massage and more of a scrub on your feet. i also got a decal put on the big toes for the first time, but some of it alraedy came off which leaves a dent in the nail polish, so i wont be getting that next time. its only a $1 cheaper than pinkys, and although theres nothing wrong with this place, id rather go to pinkys. read more

Walked in here at around 5. At first, they said that they wouldn't be able to accept me because the staff was already occupied, and they had appointments lined up after the current manicures/pedicures were finished. However, I stuck around for a while to look at the different nail colors and the prices ($10 for a manicure, what a steal!). Eventually, they managed to squeeze in time for me. My manucurist Duan was super nice, and let me change my mind about my nail color 10000 times hahah. She even warned me when I picked out my first nail color that it was darker than it appeared to be. The manicure was slow because Duan kept changing between finishing up her previous customer's mani/pedi and mine, but Duan's manicure quality more than made up for it. She did a really good job. Also at the end of my manicure, I was impressed by how I got to use the personal size fan to dry my nails (never seen that before!). The customer service was impeccable - they even rubbed oil on my nails to keep the polish on for longer after my manicure! Overall, I'm a fan. read more

I have not had the pleasure of getting my nails done here yet... but I have been planning to as I keep hearing all the rave reviews at our preschool gym class! A preschool gym friend and our teacher both get their nails done here... and totally rave about this place! They offer a good manicure and pedicure including the french manicure, which is really rare!!!! I hear they do a really good job too. My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a manicure before seeing the movie Linsanity. She had just yelped a nail salon near by and this place came up with decent reviews. When we walked in, the place is very compact and barely room to move. We had an appointment and were served fairly quick. The staff is all very nice but definitely really slow at what they do. Usually most nails place takes an hour but it took us 1.5 hours to just get our gel mani done. The compact space made it hard to really chat to friends because of the close proximity of other guests and conversations. I'm sure we don't want to hear each other's stories.
