I have lived in Tucson for 37 years and have been getting my nails done religiously for about 10 years. I used the same tech for years but was forced to change about a year ago. I have bounced around quite a bit as I wasn't able to find anywhere I loved. A few weeks ago someone mentioned Nails by Yen so I checked out the Yelp reviews yesterday and scheduled an appointment for today. My search is over, I have found a new salon! I was greeted by friendly staff who assisted me right away. Instead of hacking off the horrible acrylics that were on there they took their time soaking them off so that I could keep my real nails. The gentleman who did my nails listened to me and gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for, that is rare. They are the shape, length, thickness and color that I asked for. He was funny, knowledgeable and very friendly. The salon was clean and all of the other techs appeared to be delivering the same amazing service to the clients they were working on as I was receiving. Before I left the owner checked in with me just to see if I was happy. I scheduled my next appointment on the spot. I'm from Tucson but have been living in Baton Rouge, LA for awhile. Was just in town for my brothers wedding for which I was a bridesmaid. We were staying next door at embassy and we set up to all get a mani pedi the day before the wedding. I've been to many nail salons and this one was the best yet. I loved that we were able to make an appointment so that we wouldn't have a wait since a total of 8 people were having both done. EVERYONE was sooooo nice and very professional. They let us bring in a couple bottles of champagne as well. My toes and nails turned out amazing. I've never been anywhere that gave such a good foot and leg massage, usually it's a rushed 3 minute thing, but the spent a good ten minutes on it. The chairs were more comfortable than most. And with the mani they also do a hand and arm massage. They also do their best to take walk ins if they have the time. Altogether, I wish this place was here in Baton Rouge. You can't find service like this here. The price was $60 for both and I got gel nails. I'm writing this 5 days later and my nails and toes are still in perfect condition after taking a beating. I had a fantastic pedicure today by Thu (pronounced two). She was so kind and friendly, very easy going and a happy spirit. I enjoyed just hanging out with her. When I apologetically acknowledged that I was the last appointment of the day and she must be tired (salon is open til 7pm), she smiled warmly and said she was happy to be there and just wanted me to be happy with my pedicure. Thu proceeded to give me the best pedicure I've had in years - probably top 3 ever. First - my feet and nails look great - expert and detailed application of polish. Second - holy incredible calf and foot massage - I literally had to put down my magazine and just relax because it felt so incredibly good. Third, I'm a runner. My feet get calloused. Thu checked in with me and then did a super thorough job exfoliating. Altogether such a nice and relaxing time. I will be back and will definitely request Thu! read more

I had been here before, but the service has went downhill. My daughter and I went in to get a full set of coffin shaped nails. My daughter's nail technician kept telling to her to stop moving and complaining that she needed to listen. He got angry because he missed part of her nail and accused her of messing it up. Needless to say, two of her nails cracked off while she was just washing her hair the next day, because he wanted to quickly finish up and get on his iPhone. Also, she has little scabs around her nails. My nails are deformed and none of them are similar in size or shape. When we called complaining, they pretty much said they don't do refunds under any certain terms. We spent $80 plus a tip( because I was taught that's what you do) for two full sets of CRAP!!! I won't be going back under any circumstances!!! read more

When I say this I really do mean it, I recommend nails by yen to absolutely all of my friends. I went to another nail salon in the area and it was plain horrible. I would like to say that David did my nails and they came out perfect. I had black almond acrylics done and they came out so good! Right I walked in I was greeted and they told me to pick out a color. They have so many colors and you can find anything you want. The prices are perfect, actually with all the experience and how good my nails came out, you get a great deal. I have been a client of Nails by Yen for more than a year. I have a standing appointment every two weeks for gel manicure and/or pedicure and waxing. In the twenty years that I have been using salons in Tucson, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and NYC, the services have been good. However, I've never had such professional, caring, and individualized care that I receive from Nails by Yen. I couldn't be more pleased and it would never occur to me to go elsewhere. I ran two different businesses for 30 years combined. Customer service was always at the forefront. We provided excellent patient care. Such a great place. This is the third salon I've been to in Tucson, and easily the best. Some shops feel like they just want to get you in and out as quickly as possible, even if it means they don't do as good of a job. But they really take their time with you and make sure everything is perfect. I dropped by without an appointment and had no problem getting right in a chair. Thu gave me an amazing pedicure. The foot massage was so long and amazing- I almost fell asleep lol. The massage chairs are also really nice. And David gave me what is probably the best manicure I've ever had. Being an educated consumer, I did my due diligence in researching to find a nail salon upon my relocation to Tucson before venturing out and nail salon hopping. To my surprise the salon that rose to the top in reviews and TOPs in my experience today is Nails by Yen. David and Thu took care of me and I was sold. Nails by Yen gives you an experience inclusive of ambiance, customer service and services provided. I am a "spa" girl and my mani-pedi salon experience was SPA like. I'm coming from Austin TX a more progressive city but I am pleased to have found a nail salon on my first out of this caliber. Absolutely the best manicure ever! They didn't have an appointment for the short notice I gave them so the owner David did accommodated me and did them himself. I was reluctant to get acrylic nails because they often look very fake and tacky; however, these look amazing and very natural. David really takes care of his customers he said if I broke a nail they would be happy to fix them. The environment was great as well! The employees all seemed happy and friendly. This nail salon is easily the best in town. All of the nail techs are amazing! I called the office at 1pm on a Saturday and they managed to squeeze in my two daughters and I for mani pedis at 3:30 the same day. Even though they were very busy, we only had to wait 5 minutes. My daughter accidentally bumped her toes while she was getting her manicure done and they were nice enough to fix it and make them look perfect. We've been to other salons where they could care less about my daughters' nails or won't redo a bumped nail. Plus, everyone was so nice and helpful! I loved this place and would highly recommend! I have been looking for a great new nail place to go since I moved back from living in Phoenix. Best nail salon i have been to in tucson!! I went in without calling in and David still put me in his schedule. When i was waiting to be helped he let me sit and wait in the massage chair!! David made sure i was happy with the size and shape of my nails. He did not rush at all and made sure everything was perfect!! The salon was very clean and had a great calming feel to it. I have lived in Tucson for 8 years now, and I'm so happy to FINALLY find an amazing nail salon! I got a shellac manicure by THU and my nails have never looked more beautiful. The massage was great and she was very friendly. While I was there I decided to also get a pedicure. YES! I fell asleep during the massage and I was not itchy afterward. Her name was AMY. I'm a Cosmetologist myself so my standards are pretty high. I was visiting from out of town and came by the recommendation through Yelp. Nails by Yen was clean, professional, relaxing and very particular when it came to my nails. I had broken a nail pretty short and when inquiring about a tip, their recommendation was not to put on a tip as it might compromise my nail further. This is the absolute best nail salon I have ever been to, by far! The staff is fantastically professional and my nails (both hands and feet) were well beyond my expectations. Amy and David did an excellent job! They both were attentive! David paid close attention to what I wanted with my, asked questions, and even gave great tips on how to keep my nails healthy! I Waited 10-15min b4 my pedicure (what's the point of an appointment) overall pedicure was okay (paid for deluxe but never got my 15min massage) she was nice though. After pedi go to chair for full set...smh Upon arrive & when I arrived, I specifically told them what I wanted & also showed them they pic & model nail (their own) they assured me they could do, no problem. Not at all what o asked for, when i expressed my dislike, they didn't seem to care. Smh I've been to many nail shops & this 1 by Far is tha worst, I will Never go again. As a small business owner myself they really need to understand Customer service is key. DONT WASTE YOYR TIME OR MONEY!!!

Unfortunately, my experience changed once my nail tech's regular client arrived. I felt like my appointment became rushed, and the design I received wasn't what I had hoped for. The service started to feel more transactional than personalized. What disappointed me the most was having the agreed-upon price changed in front of me during my appointment. I chose not to argue about it, but it left me feeling uncomfortable. I value businesses that are upfront, honest, and consistent with their pricing. I believe great customer service is about making every client feel valued, not just regulars. I appreciate friendly staff, but I also appreciate businesses that respect their customers' time, communicate clearly, and stand behind the quality of their work.

I walk past Skyline Nail & Spa often on my route to work out at Anytime Fitness seems to be always busy . It's easier to just have my toe nails /" hoofs " trimmed , than struggle sadly on my own . He told the manager it's important for a players feet to feel good as an active athlete is so important . They were featured on camera having a pedicure together in phoenix /scottsdale on tv chatting with the stoic old manager. My toes and feet do feel much better, grateful for your service ! Located in Safeway shopping mall far north side behind Verison , near subway , Anytime fitness . Parking can be busy & full directly in front but also big lot in front of Safeway .

She was also recently able to help me replace a toe nail I had lost when my toe was crushed under a gate. Apparently it takes 6 months to 1.5 years for a toenail to grow back and the process isn't pretty. With a vacation coming up I couldn't wait that long.
