I've been going here for over a year now. I usually have a very quiet and kind service but 11-8 service was a little different. I called as usual for an appointment as a curtesy but it's easy enough to walk in. I got seated quickly and Eric asked me to sit in a spot then as soon as I sat down had me move over one spot. He was nice but moved very rapidly and very roughly. I then was helped by Tony and then again asked to move over a seat and then got switched again to be helped by Eric. A customer got seated in the spot I was in and a small detail missed by the staff was when the customer got moved to my previous spot my wallet, phone and headphones were left in my spot but I could not grab them because my nails were still being worked on and staff did not move them over. Eric was so rough and careless that I ended up getting a cut from his filing. What makes it worse is that he said sorry but then kept going with the same quickness. The paint chipped the next day and its dip. I will be finding a new nail salon. I would suggest not getting any of the male staff members except Paul as he isn't as quick or rough. read more

My girls and I have come here several times. We were randomly needing an emotional pick up and their energy is always the best thing to fix our day. Today we walked in around 4ish (they close at 5 on Sundays) expecting to be turned away and was excepted and set down with smiles and no irritation. Without any appointments unfortunately. *Do not be like us, make an appointment because you may not be able to be seen so late if they have a lot of customers in the evening* As always they offer refreshments with services at no extra cost. My daughter who is new to nails always sits with Miss Lisa. Lisa did these square gel nails with the white French color and the bows. She is always super patient with my teen and very genial. She always is very good at re making literally any design my daughter has found so far. I also love that Lisa was able to give her nails without tips. These are her real nails with acrylic/powder. Lisa also did the manicure on pick nails for my school age daughter who doesn't like to sit still long. These are normal color polish (no gel) and as always she is extremely patient and gentle. Sweet and simple. As always 10/10 Mr Paul did my nails, the pink with gold rounding and blue gel short almond nails. He also repaired one of the blue nails due to my breaking it earlier this week. He cut my previous nails to get this length and was very patient with my questions and every two cents ‍ which a lot of nail techs find irritating. I also am super appreciative that he automatically made sure to clean up my cuticles at the end which often is missed by others if you don't ask. He was honest about mixing colors that clash which helped me with my choice. Also if you sit in his chair make sure to ask him to see his personal nail designs, he has rings with examples and they are so cute and holiday inspired. 10/10 GREAT VIBE! read more

I will not be returning. I've been coming to this establishment for 7 years, when they were still Nails Couture before they became Nails Care. I drove from Roseville for my appointment because I had continued coming to this salon even though I moved out of Citrus Heights. Friday 8.30.24, I had a poor experience. After them upselling on me on gel nails, I still revieved a basic manicure. I realized this the next day when my nail chipped. Additionally, for my pedicure, one of my big toes is in a square shape and the other with a round shape, it looks so odd. Lastly, overall the service was rushed, the two people who did my medi/pedi were not attentive or intentional with the services they provided. I decided a much needed update of a review was in order to better reflect my more recent experiences. I've gone to this location a few times during COVID19 in the less restrictive tiers and I feel like this place has gone downhill. I get why they cannot offer the complimentary upgrades like water and alcoholic beverages right now. In December, I came in for a Manicure and a Pedicure and I've noticed that each person does dipped nails slightly different- some soak off the dip before filing off with the electric buffer, others pull off the dip, which like a review below said, seems to be bad for your nail bed. Today, the gal just did a straight buffer of my nails without soaking- and she didn't even get all of the polish off! I can still see the patches of blue under my new dipped nails! Seriously? I really wanted to say, "are you just going to leave them like that?" I mean, I've done that at home when I'm just over it, but I expect a lot more for a $45 plus tip nail job. I only left a $3 tip as I just wasn't impressed, but I felt bad because covid and all. The gal taking my payment announced that $3 was for her, which was really awkward, but the woman seemed thankful and not rude. That aside, the buffer hurt at times because they basically just filed off all the color without soaking. And this has happened many times where I've ended up cut and hurting with my nails after visits at this place. Also- this was just a straight up color change job. There was no manicure, no trimming of cuticles, no massage, not even cuticle oil. All they did was "barely" remove color and trim my nails before applying the new color for the same price in which you should be getting a full mani and cocktail. I also came here for a pedicure back in December and the woman was so rough on massaging my legs that I had bruising afterward for a few days. But today just really has me in search of a new salon- I was rushed through my color selection. I asked to have specific colors and they kept putting new samples in front of me while asking if I had chosen something yet, so I ended up settling. Definitely not an experience worth $45. read more

The last time I came to this shop, they were still "Nails Couture". I came in for a full set and a wax. Paul was able to see me right away to do my nails. It was a relaxing environment with music playing. I was offered something to drink. Overall, He did an AMAZING job. I know I'm not the easiest client to work with. I am checking things every step of the way. I was also very tired and found myself falling asleep. I was either too stiff or too relaxed. For context, I had worked 4- 16hr shifts and an 8hr. I came right after work. I can't say enough, I appreciate his patience with me. He definitely gets a 5 star from me. A recommendation for the business, when your tech is working on someone, other techs shouldn't come and spectate. Also, don't assume that you are not understood. I might not fluently know what you're saying, but I do know words and context can be put together. What you said was unnecessary. In a business like that, there is always something to do, something to disinfect or something to restock. The wax, however, that leaves something to be desired. I will not be seeking that service there, EVER. I didn't like how she shaped my eyebrows but after what happened with my face, I just wanted to get off her table. Once I sat up, I can only speculate that she was double dipping into the wax. when it came to waxing the rest of my face, she did not let the wax set before trying to lift it. At times, I felt like she was trying to lift my whole face! The gaslighting that came after was just insult to injury. She kept mentioning that my facial hair was "tough" and "too strong". I can agree, at times, I do have stubborn hairs, but they were long enough to grip. I did tell her I could come back another day, but she insisted that she could do it. When she had determined that the wax was not going to work, she started to pluck my hairs. Not necessarily a problem, but as someone that has made best friends with tweezers for over 20 years, I shouldn't hurt that much. I did end up paying for the entire service but was met with a $22 gift certificate for the next service. I will end up using that with Paul. I'm not sure if she's a freshmen tech, but she definitely needs more practice. I hope others' experience is better than mine. I never had that problem under "Nails Couture". read more

But yesterday I got my nails done anticipating a proposal to happen soon around Valentine's Day and wanted to have nice nails. The man had no idea what I was asking for even though I showed him a picture, I had to have him remove the acrylic powder twice and explain the color and length I wanted over and over and he said he'd fix the nails that didn't match length with the others,so I waited and I guess again he misunderstood. First time going to Nails Couture and won't be going back. They cut me on 4 fingers and as you can see on one of the pics, the top coat of gel didn't cure correctly. I went back the next day to get my nail fixed and she selected a dip color that was black filled with silver glitter when it should've been just solid black. When she was done, I pointed out that it was a different color as it was filled with silver glitter and she continued to tell me it wasn't. Finally she asked what I wanted to do, and I said I wanted it to match the other 3 fingers that were black and she didn't seem to thrilled to fix it. read more

I really hate to make this review but feel the need to warn others. Yesterday 8/12/2021 I went to nails couture-health beauty, as my normal salon didn't have any availabilities I have been here years ago and had no issues. I came in and asked for a SOAK OFF ( where they soak your nails in acetone to remove them) it's advertised on their site under that name for 10 dollars. Upon sitting down I let Kim ( my nail tech) know that my pinky had been in pain she grabbed a box of acrylic tips and started prying my tip from my natural nail. I told her it was painful and I started bleeding ( she was not wearing gloves as mandated when there is exposure to blood) she continued to try and pry it off and when I wait I needed a break she handed me the tip she had been using and told me "I could control it". At this point I was in so much pain I felt like I was going to pass out. She finally ripped it off and my nail was literally cut in half ( see photos). She immediately started on my other nails before I could tell her to stop. She got to my right hand pinky had was having similar issues, she told me to tell her if it was hurting which I did multiple times. She was unable to get off the thumb nail with this prying off method (as my nails continued to bleed) she called someone else over who grabbed my hand and some clippers and started clipping the SIDE of my natural nail till it came off. I was in shock from the pain. She then started buffing OVER my bloody nails!! After I said no thank you to this torture she continued saying it would catch on my hair if she didn't. She told me to wash my hands when I came back she gave me klenenix with green liquid and told me it was medicine. It stung and she did this without asking me. She then told me it was 10 dollars and had the audacity to ask for a tip!!!! I'm in a great deal of pain (the day after!!!) And have requested the techs license number (which they did not want to give me) and reported this incident to the board of barbering and cosmetology. I have been nauseous from the pain (the next day!) and have a doctors appointment today to make sure no infections have happened. This is truly a nightmare, I am a licensed esthetician and am very aware of proper sanitation and blood exposure procedure that was not followed. I cannot grip my tweezers for lashing so I cannot work. The tech was named Kim. Please avoid! read more

I used to love this place. When they first opened, my nails were perfect and I rated them 5 stars based on staff and business. Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. This past time I have gone 10/11/19, I had requested a certain nail design and I wanted to make sure my nail tech would be able to do it. She assured me that she would be able to do it. When it came time to the design I was highly disappointed. It looks nothing like the design. I had to limit it to 1 finger since everything was already said and done. (See picture) The second issue I had was on 10/14/19, only 3 days after, one of my nails half way popped off. The next day, I went to go fix it. My original nail was clear/white powder with a gel overlay. The nail tech tried to convince me and tell me I had black powder on. I had to demand that I didn't want black powder. She eventually fixed my nail (it looks horrible but I was so annoyed I just didn't want to be there any longer) and CHARGED me for the fix. 4 days after paying 55 dollars for my nails already... It is 10/17/19 and another nail chipped. I just can't recommend this place anymore and can no longer go here due to this incident. Please see pics for reference read more

Well... I said I wasn't coming back here a year ago, but I did unfortunately out of convenience. I purchased a pedi and a gel mani. Again when I rejected the upselling, the mood changed and the services were rushed. The pedi I purchased included a massage. She rubbed lotion on my shins but no foot massage. Same with the gel manicure. Rushed. Not allowing the proper time under the light between coats, rubbed lotion on my forearms and looked at me and said "done!" I asked if I could please have some lotion for my hands as well. No hand massage was done. I can normally go 2 weeks with no gel chipping, but this is chipping and lifting around the edges in less than a week. I guess if you go here, go on the recommendation of a good manicurist and good luck!! I'd tell you her name if she had actually spoken to me other than to push high priced services. read more
