Let me start by saying that I've come here many, many, MANY times before to have a pedicure which, has never been a disappointment. With that being said, if I could throat punch someone and get away with it, it'd be the "nail tech" that worked on my daughter's nails. HE (yes, a grown ass baby man) must've been having a "need a snickers" moment because he was a royal bitch from THE MINUTE my daughter sat down at his table. I mean seriously, What grown ass man SIGHS???. She was looking so forward to a day of pampering. She said she had a bad feeling about the dickpickle who chose her to sit at his table. She didn't want to ask for someone else because SHE didn't want to seem rude. Lesson learned, kiddo. Anywho, from there, it went downhill. He ruined her phone with glue, filed her nails CROOKED (Guess he was pissed because she asked fo coffin, and not the boring ass square nails) He threw her hands around on multiple occasions,and made her bleed on at least 3 of her cuticles. She sent me a text (I was on the pedi chair)using the hand that he was NOT holding hostage, saying that he was hurting her, but he wouldn't let her hand go for her to leave. Once I was done with my toesies, I went and sat right next to my daughter, watching to see what would be done next. Let me also say that he was even rude to the girl working next to him because she wanted to learn the technique of hand-painted art that MY nail tech had done on my hands (Style Me Sweet on San Mateo and Osuna). As annoyed as I already was, I kindly asked him if he was having a bad day. He kept mumbling snide remarks under his breathe (like Oh my God, and Ugh, along with some shit about my daughter because he was REALLY upset he had to shape her nails)He told me "You know how long it's taken me to do this? With which I replied "That's your job sir. That's what YOU get paid to do, so carry on" The final straw was when my daughter accidentally touched the tip of the nail polish bottle with a finger, and he said "OMG I need you to FUCKING pay attention".OH HELL NO!!! I went into full Mama bear mode. He started cursing (in English) and you better believe that I caused a scene up in there(if you were there on Friday 9/16 around 2PM, then you felt my wrath) because I was LIVID. He turned around and pointed to the sign and said "we have the right to refuse". I replied "well that's great, but you're supposed to refuse BEFORE you PROVIDE service, you f**kin DUMMY" My daughter got up, and walked out of there in tears. Seriously? He cursed at her, called her GHETTO (mind you, she hadn't said anything, not ONE WORD to him at all). Is it because she's black? Is that why she's ghetto? You ignorant piece of shit with no potential to do anything more than to file nails and paint toes. He came up to me as I was paying for MY toes and shouted "I QUIT" so I turned around and asked him, loudly,: "Am I supposed to care? I don't give a shit if you quit because You're not on my payroll, and you're not even good at WTF do so BYE FELICIA" I spoke with the manager "JOI/JOY/JOYCE" and She told me that she'd had problems with him in the past (Well then WTF is he still there, JOI/JOY/JOYCE????!).I let "JOI/JOY/JOYCE"know (with a smile on my face, and a calm voice) that if My debit card is charged for more than the cost of my pedicure I was going to come back in and it would be a "Worldstarr" moment in here because shit would get broken . I kindly gave the woman who admired my nails (and who did my pedicure her payment, and tip) and let ol boy know that if I saw him in the street I was going to fuck him up. UGH. I hope that place burns down. But not too badly, because Menchies is right next door, and I love Menchies. read more

After reading positive reviews, I decided to check this place out. When I got there the place was packed! Good sign. I only waited about 15 minutes to get a gel manicure. The employees were nice, but very very quiet, almost overworked tired. Regardless, all of the implements they used were sanitized and came in their own wrapped package. The files and buffers were disposable which eased my cleanliness fears. One downside of the disposable tools was that they were very small which made it hard to use the tools with ease. Went in for a gel manicure and pedicure the Friday before Easter. The salon was busy as expected being that it was a holiday weekend but the male tech who did my nails was rushed and rude. I don't even think he thanked me upon finishing and taking my payment. Within less than a week one of my thumbs starting lifting at the bottom. I left it alone for 2-3 days until it started catching on to everything. I was literally able to peel and lift the entire thing off my nail. In fact, I was able to peel every single one off. I don't know what product they have or use but I definitely wasn't impressed with the quality. I paid over $60 because I got gel on both my nails and toes, and I was only able to enjoy them for less than a week before they peeled off and my toes are already chipping. With all the nail salons in town, you are better off taking your money elsewhere. read more

Pedicure wasn't too bad but my fingernails look kinda shitty... the polish is glopped on too thick so there's bubbles on almost every finger and the top coat isn't even covering the whole nail. The girl that worked on my nails, did not give me the color I wanted to begin with, she didn't not give me the ombré details I wanted either, she made very judgmental comments while doing my nails. She had the audacity to take my credit card out of my wallet as I was ready to pay all by myself, thank you very much. She proceeded to double charge my card. I had gone here for the past couple years. Kim and her husband are sweet. Unfortunately the other gentleman who works in the corner I can't say the same for. I picked my colors and he couldn't seem to understand what I was wanting. Took him a good 10 mins to even find the colors I ask for. He's spent a lot of time asking questions of his co- workers. I wanted a full manicure which did not happen. Half pushed my cuticles back. After 45 min he presented me completed .... my polish had huge dig marks in it and was completely bumpy. Then he ask me for 45 dollars. WOW Just WOW. It was to be a manicure with chrome polish on 2 nails !!!! The rest were just to be polished . NOT A SET OF NAILS which would have been less !!! I was told 30 dollars to start. He said it was because of how long it took him. if they had turned out beautiful I would have been fine with it . He apparently doesn't know how to apply chrome . This I found out from the other gentleman who admitted he used the wrong products when I ask if they should look this horrible. The owner told me they would take care of it and apologized . Which I appreciated. Until the other man started telling me it was my fault and I had to pay now. He continued to talk badly to me, about me to his co-workers in their language until I just picked my debit card up and walked out. He was HORRID !!! Sorry I'll not be back there because of one man. I have been a loyal customer of Demi's for years. Recently however the customer service experience is lacking and prices and being ramped up. It made me start looking elsewhere to spend my money. A friend recommended Maxx Nails based on friendliness and cleanliness. So I thought I'd check it out. I agree with everything I was told. I was very satisfied with the quality of work they put inot their services as well. Now it might not be as cozy as Demi's, and by that I mean warm and homey, I can get used to a better priced service with smiles on everyone's faces. I think I found a salon that deserves more of our local Rio Rancho residents visiting. read more

I love coming here! These ladies give the best nails service I've had for great prices. They are thorough but also don't waste time. They are also really nice. The facility is clean, they wear gloves at all times, and use an autoclave. I will be coming here for quite a long time. Do Not Have Your Nails Done Here! I couldn't get in to my regular Salon, so I read on Yelp these folks were good. THEY ARE HORRIBLE! i walked in and got an appointment with Joyce right away. She is a very sweet lady, we talked and I got a fill and color, which 4 of the nails lifted and fell off within 3 days. I went back, and she told me my nails were too old, (which she didn't tell me btw ~ and they weren't) So I let her talk me into fixing for me. My real nails are thin and peel, so she was going to make this "new" product be great! NOOOOOOOO 2 1/2 hours and $$60 dollars later, I had one had that looked fairly decent if you took a quick look, my right hand was Matt finish bumpy lumpy and lots of cement all around my nail bed and underneath the nail. I cried all the way home, I was so mad. One week later I went to a Salon who told me that they were put on incorrectly and could get water between the nails, and cause infection. DO NOT go here. i went to them sunday 02/01/14, yellowing occured on one of my fingers around the cuticle, had to go to urgent care today. i have swelling and pain. dr says you have an infection from their tools. went to the salon to ask for a refund, they told me if they caused this infection all my fingers would be infected and the pain and redness in my finger is from smashing it. do not go here!!! btw, did not get a refund!! now my nails cost me 36.00 at the salon, 50.00 for urgent care and 15.00 for my rx and epson salts to soak! read more

I came in today for a pedicure and chose a nice blue shade. Once I was sitting and soaking my feet, the guy told me the color that I chose didn't have enough polish in it. So he brought me a few similar colors that I did not like as much. He brought me one more and when I told him I didn't like the shade he told me that I was "too picky." Awesome. I decided to try them out because of an FB post from a friend and how super clean they are. I got Lisa for a pedicure and waxing. She was great and my brow and lip wax was excellent. After I got home I realized that my left heel had not been scrubbed well. I went back and it was immediately taken care of. I just need to remember to check my heels next time.
