So after I wrote my initial review of my dissatisfaction at @Nails, I heard from the owner to apologize for my experience and wanted to make it right. First he offered a credit for my fill and because I don't live in the area, he gave me a refund. That was unexpected but much appreciated. Like I said before in my first review, the pedicure was great and I probably just came across a stressed out nail technician as they were busy. And because of the way they handled the situation, I would definitely give it another try if I ever was in town. I went in to get my nails done for my best friends wedding that I am the maid of honor in. Ken made the entire experience unpleasant and had the worst attitude. First, he would fling my arms around without caring if I could even move my arms in the shape he wanted. Secondly, the cure light turned off for a SECOND when he was pressing the nail and somehow it was my fault for not "working as a team" to move fast enough to the light, and because of this "one mistake mess whole thing and we have to start over". I was just sitting there, it's not my fault he didn't tap the light in time to turn it on. Third, he ended the service by not cleaning all the dust off my hands and nails, nor giving me lotion like most nail salons. He put cuticle oil ON TOP of the acrylic dust as I was already walking to the sink to wash the dust off because he didn't bother to do so. Fourth, he said to me "don't get gel x anymore because your nails curve down" yet I've been getting Gel X for a decade and no one else has had an issue. Fifth, at one point I was about to put my hand in the cure lamp because I couldn't understand what he was saying and he stopped me by freaking out and asking "are you crazy!!". And lastly, the underside of my nails look awful and not cleaned up AT ALL. I will be posting more photos to Yelp along with this review. I will never again set foot at this location. Avoid Ken if you can. He was rude for no reason after I was looking forward to this and he shat all over it. I appreciate this nail salon for being open late--and for really accepting clients during later hours as well. Some salons in the area state their hours for walk-ins, but seldom honor those hours. @ Nails is welcoming, and always serve u your drink of choice. I often see Henry for mani/pedi and Mai for waxing. Henry is talented, stylish, and takes his time to do things right. I appreciate him being flexible and adjusting his massaging based on feedback. Mai is patient and will stay late in order to take care of what you need. She has helped tame my brows (and other parts!) for a long time now. I appreciate her candor and work very much. This salon uses software for scheduling that makes it easier to schedule an appt--you can do it at your convenience anytime. However, if the system indicates no times available or your preferred nail tech shows unavailable, I suggest u call directly. Sometimes, there are errors in the system that a human can help u through. Overall, I like the vibe and appreciate the service here. The menu of drinks is great too! read more

I decided to try a nearby salon called @Nails, which is conveniently within walking distance from home. The facility was very clean, and they even offered a complimentary beverage. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming. It was fairly quiet, but since it was a Monday morning, that was expected. I opted for a regular mani-pedi since I like to test out a new salon before going for anything more elaborate. My technician, Ben, did both services and did a phenomenal job. He shaped and buffed my nails perfectly and helped me choose a great shade of red.
