Fish tacos and fries were pretty good!

The majority of their tables are outside under tents, making it a great option to view Lake Champlain over dinner and drinks. They also have bar seating and a mini game room for kids. Their drink menu had some beer on tap, beer in cans and bottles, wine, mixed drinks, frozen drinks, and mocktails. The food menu had a variety of apps, some salads, handhelds, and entrees. I ordered a beer and the fish tacos which came with two tacos and fries. They tasted great! We sat at the bar since the weather was so poor they didn't want to seat people outside (understandable since it was raining sideways earlier that day). Overall this is a place you come for the view and to enjoy beautiful weather. Food is pretty good and service was quick too. Parking is the only wonky thing since we came early in the season so the boats weren't in the water yet.

Not bad, not great. The space is awesome for Marina restaurant and bar large inside bar, decent outside tiki bar. Pretty extensive menu as well as an extensive microbrew, imports and standard bottled American beer. Bartender outside disappears constantly- getting supplies, bringing food to the bar, etc. etc. so there was a lot of waiting for drinks. It was pretty clear. He had very little help at a very busy bar. Don't they hire barbacks anymore? Food was pretty good- fish tacos and salads were decent. Ambiance is crushed because there was no music. Well the music was on but it was barely perceptible. Ever worse, whoever the genius was who set up the speakers at the tiki bar pointed the speakers directly into the bar rather than out to the people, so the IF the music was turned up to to an acceptable volume, my guess is the bartender wouldn't be able to interact with the customers. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Listen this is an outside marina bar and Grill., people are vacationing drinking partying, eating, trying to have a great time and there's barely any perceptible music playing. Great way to destroy the ambience. Any bar owner will tell you there's more to food and drinks in a restaurant in this place just made us not want to stay- so we didn't. We'll try again.

Plastic "distressed" drink, just throw it out already.

Should be properly listed as a bar. Went for dinner. Kitchen closes at 8. Wish I knew that before I drove over.

After checking numerous reviews and website menus, It appeared to me that Twisted Carrot was one of…read morethe most interesting restaurants in the area, in terms of menu and atmosphere. My dinner experience there certainly lived up to expectations. The restaurant is small, seating maybe about 30 people. I wouldn't call it intimate, but I would call it friendly. The menu items are enjoyably named, with some interesting ingredient and flavor combinations. Service is fast and friendly; 3 servers can take care of all the tables quite nicely, with time for fun conversation as you go. The cocktail list is small, and the drinks are simply garnished, but everything we tried was quite flavorful and reasonably priced. As an appetizer, the Moo Moo Dippers, filled with shaved ribeye and corned beef and combined with the remoulade sauce for dipping. were addicting. My salmon filet came atop a bed of roasted sweet potato and corn hash and a sauce on top to give it more interesting presentation and flavor. The pork medallions were similarly appealing. We passed on dessert, because most of the offerings had some form of caffeine in them (e.g., boozy affogato), but I'm certain they would have been equally delicious. I was surprised the restaurant closed so early on days they're actually open, i.e., 8pm. So if you want convenient dining, get there early for dinner, because it does fill up.

Food is excellent, service is wonderful, but they do not take reservations. Go early!read more
