We visited for dinner and started with a Pineapple Margarita and a Mai Tai. The Pineapple Margarita was excellent--we enjoyed it so much that we ordered two more! The Mai Tai, on the other hand, was a heavy pour (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), but the flavor just wasn't for us. For our entrées, we ordered the Lava Burger and the Drunken Noodles with added chicken. The chicken add-on cost an additional $9, which made the dish feel quite overpriced. Unfortunately, the noodles were disappointing; they were overly salty, and the sauce was thin and had an unpleasant flavor that we didn't enjoy. The Lava Burger was definitely the highlight of the meal. It came with fries that were crispy, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The burger itself was fantastic and certainly lived up to its name--it was loaded with heat and flavor. Let's just say it was still living up to the "lava" reputation the next day! Overall, the drinks and burger were great, but the Drunken Noodles were a miss for us. read more

Nalu does a great job taking you straight to Hawaii. The surfer videos, wave wall paper, and the full Hawaiian menu takes you right to the islands. The food is also delicious. The bacon wrapped pineapple was balanced with all the sweet and salty. The pork nachos were delicious. They were meant to share but my husband basically just stole all the pork to himself because it was that good. The sushi tacos were also just different and it was fun to eat. Nataliegh was our server and she was awesome! We got the edamame appetizer and their signature golden road mango cart beer on tap! We both had poke dishes and they were a perfect balance of fresh tuna, salmon, avocado, edamame and shrimp with a warm bed of rice underneath. The presentation was beautiful! The spicy mayo is a nice addition for this dish so, don't forget to ask for it. We got there before 6pm on a Saturday and the vibe was mellow and easy. I am sure things would perk up later on. Best food we had a Rehoboth during our trip! We were quickly seated upon arrival, and absolutely loved the inside decor. The tables are wooden surfboards, and the restaurant is very beach-themed. The staff was friendly but very quick. They didn't stay at the table for too long as it was very busy, felt a little rushed at the beginning but I think the staff was just stretched too thin with so many tables. The food was great! We had the nachos which were HUGE and tasty as all the reviews said. I got the Coconut Shrimp tacos per the servers recommendation, and they were delicious! My husband also loved his Baja Rockfish Burrito. As for drinks, I got a nonalcoholic piña colada, and my husband had a pineapple margarita. Both were great! We would definitely visit again! We were seated and tended to immediately. Our server got us drinks and took our order within minutes of sitting. The atmosphere is fun and party like, with groups of people acting like a bunch of college kids chugging their drinks with college football in the background. Super fun to watch! But it was kid friendly too. No crazy shenanigans, just fun. They have typical kid fair - chicken nuggets, grilled cheese etc. which my kids liked. I got the spicy tuna poke bowl and my husband got the spicy salmon poke bowl. They were satisfying but a little lacking in the flavor department. When we didn't like the Mule, she let us switch to a different drink with no extra charge. Backscratcher cocktail: comes with a real backscratcher that they stick in the drink. Tasty and fun to look at. Nachos: Pulled Pork was very tasty. The rest of the nachos was "mid" as the young kids say. The staff was very friendly, and I appreciate that our server took my allergy concerns seriously. They have a separate, gluten free menu available, which was really helpful. We had the Salmon poke, shrimp tacos, and a side of fries. I enjoyed my poke, although I wish there had been some wasabi or sriracha available to add some heat. My mom did not enjoy her tacos largely because she said the tortillas tasted like flour as if they had just been taken straight from the bag and not warmed up prior to serving. Wow, I am literally in love with this place. So blown away with the food, service, and vibe from this restaurant! I definitely recommend you come here while at Rehoboth. We had a 20 minute wait (Saturday night) when arriving which wasn't a problem because we then had time to look at one of the many trinket or souvenir stores near by. The restaurant is super cute with a beautiful mural or wallpaper of the beach. There was a DJ too?? Amazing bops I was grooving the WHOLE time. Our server Ashley was literally the best. Such a sweetheart and SO caring. She was probably the best waiter I've had my entire life of going to restaurants. I asked her about one of the sauces in the poke and she brought me a sauce sample to try before ordering! She also helped me choose something to eat (me being the most indecisive person ever). Not only was Ashley a gem, but also all the other servers. So polite and attentive to our needs! Nachos (4/5) I thought the nachos were pretty standard. You can't really go wrong with nachos. Chips, guac, sour cream, tomatoes, etc. HUGE serving though. Group of 6 girls, we couldn't finish! Definitely worth the price in terms of size. Super cool serving dish. Mahi Sandwich (5/5) I had mahi sandwich with a bun and ugh it was delicious. A perfectly seasoned soft large piece of fish, warm and soft bun, perfect amount of slaw, and a nice sauce to tie it all together. Comes with crinkle fries. Had Nalu last year. However, we just had beverages, so I didn't post a review. We went to the location this time right off the boardwalk I got the Coconut Ice Coffee for $12.99, I do have the say the description won me over more than the actual drink it was not great. We then got the shrimp skewers for $13.99 flavor was decent, not bad. Two other people that went with me one person got the chicken lemongrass potstickers for $12.99, and they thought the dish was very good. Other friends got the wings in the Huli BBQ sauce forn$12.99 and the sauce was very different and good! All in all service was good food was pretty good would go again. read more

We were excited to come back as we had a good experience in years past. Atmosphere was a bit loud as we came in -- music was turned up to almost club/bar levels which made conversation difficult -- we did come at peak dinner time. Our waiter was pleasant, but the rest of the staff seemed a bit inexperienced -- not rude, per se, but we certainly felt like we were just handed our food. Prices were a bit high for what we received; most of the entrees were $15-18 with a protein being an extra $8. We ordered poke bowls and the ahi had a strong fishy smell. Our kiddo ordered chicken tenders and wouldn't eat them -- I thought they tasted fine, but I also like onion rings, which they tasted like. All in all, not a horrible experience, but sadly we don't think we'd come back: things I would recommend to management is to check food quality before it goes out and maybe some training on customer service. To be fair, I'm a huge fan of the Hawaiian culture as well as Asian fare, in general -- Nalu has great potential to be a fantastic themed restaurant on the Rehoboth. boardwalk. read more

Two teens and one adult woman made up our party. We ordered a starter of 6 coconut shrimp ($15!), one ramen bowl which did not come with protein, quesadilla with added shrimp (extra charge) and drunken noodles which did not include protein. Food was really tasty except the ramen. Guess I shouldn't have had high expectations on the boardwalk. The ramen had a rather undefined flavor. Our bill was $80. The worst part of our meal was the water they served. I realize it is city water but it tasted how toilet cleaner smells. Ew.
