For years, this place was the go to sushi place fantastic Service great food and great atmosphere. You could always count on a great time great food, and great service. Sadly, after its acquisition, the menu has thinned out and so has the taste of the food. The only thing consistently increased to the menu has been added salt. The remaining options have drastically been reduced, and the outcomes aren't worth the price. Here's to hoping a new sushi place in town will replace the memories that stingray has created. A very off night at a usually nice restaurant. Service: hostess forgot to bring silverware, chopsticks, and napkins. The waitress didn't fix the issue despite several requests. We ended up getting our own when the food arrived. The waitress might have been stoned--very nice but dropped several items despite using a handheld device to take the order. Food: some items were outstanding--calamari, mushrooms, sea bass (very small portion). Others not so much. Notably poor: seaweed salad (it's not as listed on the menu--seemed like they're stretching the expensive seaweed by mixing in shredded zucchini). It's just a side--but lets you know they're cutting corners. The sushi is OK--fish is fresh but the options cater to the beach crowd. Drinks and cocktails: all were pretty good. read more

For a Chilean sea-bass entree we spent $46.50 for a 6oz filet (NO SiDES INCLUDED), The sides for green beans and peppers brought the totally to $66-$76 For my husbands main course to be comparable to other local upscale restaurants in the area. My group is always craving sushi when we go out to Rehoboth. This is our second year going to Stingray and since we only ever eat here once a year I am only reviewing for the current year experience without comparing it prior to new management. In my opinion, this spot has one of the better sushi rolls offered when compared to competitors near the area. There are not a lot of restaurants that offer sushi in Rehoboth but we have a great experience here. I do have to note that there are a couple things that could be improved such as better lighting so we're not dining and viewing a menu in the dark. Prices are high for sushi and cocktails. I did notice that the rolls need bigger pieces of fish to be worthwhile but we had sushi from a competitor that gave us even smaller portions of sushi. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. If this spot has indeed gone downhill, it was not bad enough that i'd notice. read more

our server was friendly attentive. the lo mein was very tasty. the real disappointment was the strand of hair ROLLED into our sushi roll. it was pretty noticeable and i'm not sure how no one saw it before it got to our table. my friend was almost going to eat this piece before she noticed. thank goodness she didn't eat it and have to pull the strand of hair out of her mouth. we notified the server and she was extremely apologetic. she took it back and said she would get a new one redone. the manager also came over to check in. he reassured us that the chefs wear hats in the back. he comped the sushi roll and offered to remake it or a free dessert, we politely declined - we didn't know if we could trust the kitchen if there is hair back there. the service other dishes were great, but the hair in the sushi definitely ruined our dining experience. i'm not sure if i will be back. also quick note: the characters at the bottom of the menu mean appetizer (前菜) but it's listed with entrees. it is confusing for japanese and chinese speakers, i had to ask the server to clarify. it is also disappointing because it shows that this place isn't authentic nor cares enough to have the japanese words placed correctly on the menu. read more

Used to love this restaurant. I haven't been there in a few years. The sushi rolls were absolutely horrible. Even the sweet-and-sour chicken felt like the chicken was tough and made of subpar meat. We tried to eat the sushi, but could not, very disappointing. Had an eel roll , hairy Mexican , and a roll with tuna, yellowtail and salmon. Totally inedible. They did comp us for the sushi rolls when we let them know but honestly that's not what we were looking for. We wanted a fantastic sushi dinner as we have always had, but that was not the case. Oh dear. One of our favorites has fallen apart. We went right after the switch to Atlas. The staff was nice and apologetic about the menu changes. No more happy yellowtail dish, some of our favorite apps and rolls no more. That meal was Ok, so went back another time. They added dumplings; meh. A bit more of a slide in food. Crazy us, went a third time. I had to send the miso back. Tasted like vinegar! 5 star food, 2 star service. Beautiful restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We had a party of 7 and was able to be seated indoors almost immediately. None of us were drinking alcoholic beverages and I think that's why our server wasn't so quick to circle back to us for anything. All the tables around us having multiple rounds of drinks were tended to more quickly. We were 2 adults with 5 young adults. Appetizers came in decent time. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the tempura green beans! Dinner took almost an hour to get to us. It was not crowded at the time as we dined late. That said, all our food was delicious and generously portioned. Have to say service was pretty good considering how busy they were for a Monday night and the section our server had. Ran out of the bourbon I asked for went with my 2nd choice. Food was not anything that says I have to go back for right away. Had a poke bowl to start ,Tuna. It was a bit darker than normal so I ate around pieces and even a bit of sinue which to me it shouldn't have. Firecracker shrimp tasted like the fryer, hate to say and I would hate to see their frying oil.....Entree I settled on Magnolia Beef and broccoli, the beef wasn't hot and I had a couple of pieces that were really cool...not too much broccoli. One side came with it, chose the Brussels with pork belly, I would pass on this. I hope it was just an off night. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. No longer. I walked in today to an ear-splitting volume level of boy band music being played. Awful songs never played on the radio. We happened to stop by during happy hour and enjoyed the sake flight, Korean bbq wings, salmon sashimi, and Rehoboth roll. The Princess sake was my favorite, crisp and appley. Sashimi was cut thick and was fresh and fatty. Wings were spicy and crisp, not too spicy and served with a side of cauli pickles. Rehoboth roll was not my favorite- wasn't a fan of the tempura salmon which seemed to make the fish dry and oily. The wasabi relish is a must-try with the sashimi.
