Came here for happy hour and had a great experience - Owen is our guy! We got a cheese plate and jalapeño poppers and they were delish. Love the relaxed but fun atmosphere and loved that they decorate for Christmas. Their entree portions are generous for the price. I'll definitely be back!

We first visited this location in November 2021 right after moving to the area. Based on my…read moreprevious reviews, you probably know that we frequently dine at Matt's in Fenwick Island, and we've also stopped by the Lewes location a couple of times. We love the Sodel and Matt's restaurants; they consistently deliver great experiences and fantastic happy hour oyster specials. For this visit, we dropped in for happy hour just after 3:00 PM on a Sunday and sat at the bar, which was wonderfully clean and welcoming. Although I skipped the cocktails this time, we shared 18 Virginia Chunu raw oysters for $18. I also had the New England clam chowder ($8), though I personally prefer the version at the Fenwick location, and a plate of six delicious lobster deviled eggs ($12). Our bartender, Hannah S., was exceptionally friendly and provided top-notch service. The total bill came out to $55 before tip. We both had a great time and agreed that we'll definitely be back for another happy hour.

For dinner they gave us a large booth. Very comfortable. Waitress was friendly, helpful. I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and the soft shell crabs. My friend had jambalaya. Both very enjoyable. I highly recommend Matt's Fish Camp.

This is truly a hidden gem in DE!…read more I was visiting family over Mother's Day weekend, and we had reservations for 5pm (note: reservations are STRONGLY encouraged for prompt seating). As a Baltimore native, I'm used to the charm of the Little Italy restaurants; pulling up to La Dolce Vita had me scratching my head. It is truly not much to look at from the outside or inside, but-- as my grandmother always taught me-- never judge a book by its cover. I'm glad I didn't. The 2 polite servers were already busy when we got there, but we were seated quickly and provided with our drinks and table bread promptly. The menu is small yet cozy and familiar. The specials were relatively extensive, also (maybe for the holiday?). My family ordered 2 appetizer specials (escargot & clams casino)-- both were alright, but I'm also not a huge fan of either. Plate presentation was nothing fancy, but still looked very nice. With any entree, you receive a side salad-- a small display of fresh spring greens with tomatoes and cucumber. Don't be off-put by the packaged salad dressing. Our table ordered: lamb Ossobucco (special), veal & shrimp Marsala, and chicken parmigiana. Due to the increasing patrons, our main dishes took a little longer to come out, but it was nice to catch up with family. Again, the presentation of the main dishes were nothing gourmet, but hearty and clean. The Marsala has a sweet flavor, which is not usually how I make it, but it was still rich and tasty. I had the chicken parmigiana, and was surprised to see that the side angel hair pasta came with meat sauce-- I later realized that it's listed on the menu (oops!). Their pasta sauce is absolutely delicious, and I wish I ordered more for bread-dipping! Save room and pack up half of your meal, because you *WILL* want their delicious, homemade desserts. Our table shared tiramisu and a cannoli-- let me tell you, they put Baltimore's Vaccaro's to shame. The cannoli was probably the best I've ever had, and the tiramisu was so light and fluffy without an overwhelming coffee flavor. For 3 people (no alcoholic drinks), the total was about $150. This is incredible for the delicious food and large portions! Please please please go here for the best Italian food on the shore!

Great local Italian restaurant, however they could not accommodate my gluten free daughter.read more

Have been here now a few times for takeout as well as for seated dining. Every time the food has been excellent, but for this review, I'll write about our latest in-person experience. In a summer Thursday, our family had a table for seven as we went for our son's birthday and had a combination of broiled seafood, steak, sides, steamed seafood, salads, and cocktails. Crab stuffed-mushrooms, blue crab, snow crab, lobster tails, filet mignon, crab cakes, gulf shrimp. All cooked perfectly. The cocktail variety was vast and for the ~12 or so that we enjoyed around the table, each got great reviews, but the michelada may have been of the best I've ever had. Regarding the atmosphere, there are essentially three sections of the building, the bar room area, the dining area, and the market/kitchen. The bar room has live music most nights, and if you are in the dining area, it reaches you at just the right volume. Service is not slow, but definitely paced at a lesser speed than the restaurants on coastal highway for sure; if you are with good company, it works out nicely! Well done Crab Barn, we will continue to keep coming back. Love the local, unassuming vibe of this place that also carries excellent food and friendly staff!

My wife had the cheesesteak rolls and she loved them. I'm a food critic so this place gets 5 stars from me. Also, I want to note that their cocktail sauce is awesome. I know it's usually horseradish and ketchup, but they do something different which elevated it.
