I've been visiting Baltimore this week and eaten in three Indian restaurants - one in Frederick, MD, one in Columbia, MD, and this one. Namaste Baltimore was my favorite. The sauce in the chicken tikka masala alone was enough to make me a fan. It had that wonderful flavor that comes from long, slow cooking. And the vegetable momos were perfect. This is really a Nepalese restaurant, and I will be back on a future visit to Bmore. read more

I went to this restaurant on 7/2/22 @ 2:53.pm for my first time having Indian food. The dish I ordered was Mirch Tikka, and it was awful. The chicken was overcooked and very dry, when my son complained to the waiter, he proceeded to say it because it is grilled! Seriously! They did not offer to replace it or made any other comparable suggestion, Nothing. Actually before we ordered and the waiter brought water, he nocked over the glass and the entire glass spilled all over me. They took forever to clean up, and then a really long time to bring replacement napkins. I would not ever recommend this place. The service was awful and we had to keep calling the waiter for them to check on us. This was a very disappointing first experience to this place. I would never ever go back. This place is gold! My partner and I are vegan and the options and quality of food is the best! My favorite is the vegan Mango Sabzi (seriously, order this) and the vegetable pakoras. The vegetable korma, roti, and chutneys are so so delicious. I'm also not usually a fan of rice pudding- but I loved theirs. The people there are also incredibly nice- they are all concerned that you have the best experience possible. As far as safety and COVID- I felt very safe going to pick up my order. Had a wonderful dinner at Namaste last night to celebrate my father's birthday. My family has been eating Indian food for decades regularly. The quality of the food, the service, and the ambiance at Namaste were top notch. The whole staff even came to sing happy birthday. I have eaten matter paneer in dozens of Indian restaurants and I thought Namaste was better than most. I would highly recommend the "Namaste Baltimore Crab" appetizer. I had an issue with my order from GrubHub that unfortunately led to me not receiving it but the manager called me two days later to let me know he was out for a couple days and was so sorry to hear about my troubles. He immediately offered to fix it and sent me the food I had been waiting on free of charge. He really made me feel better about the situation and like he cared. A delicious Indian restaurant! I had the samosas, mixed biryani, naan, and the mango lassatini. Namaste is professional, clean, and has some of the highest quality food I have eaten around Baltimore. They have some fairly authentic Indian dishes, though I am unsure of the Nepalese or Himalayan dishes; thus, I would suggest asking someone else's expertise. I have been to their buffet before, pre-COVID, and I enjoyed it more than some of the other restaurants' lunch buffets. We had a great experience here. Food was so good! We Lamb Tikka Masala, shrimp tikka masala, lamb seekh kabab, namaste balt crab and grill tandoori platter for apps and of course garlic naan. Came here for the first time eating Indian food in a restaurant. I have a chickpea and nut allergy which has made eating Indian cuisine difficult if I don't make it so I know what is in it. Ordered the chicken chili, chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, and naan. All were absolutely delicious. Namaste is my favorite Indian place in Baltimore. Every now and then I get a huge craving for indian food and this place hits the spot every time. Their lunch buffet carries a good balance of vegetarian and meat dishes. While some of them vary, the ones that are always in rotation are saag paneer, chicken tikka, tandoori chicken. On weekdays, the other dishes are usually chicken/fish based and vegetable kormas. On weekends, they usually serve lamb and/or goat in addition to the usuals which are my favorite. I loved this restaurant! I went with my friend who lives in the Roland Park neighborhood, so we walked over to Namaste. I'll get right to the point. The food was excellent. Our trip to Namaste started with some confusion, courtesy of Google. Google said they were open 'til 11...we pulled up at 9:05, only to see on their door that they close at 9:30 (they do carryout later). So, my husband went in to place an order to go. The family that owns the business was delightful, and invited us to come in and enjoy dinner in the restaurant, despite it being so near the time to close. By the time my husband walked to the car to get me and we came back in, they already had poured our glasses of ice water and had our table ready for us and quickly brought us papadam. We ended up having a delicious dinner in a quiet, cozy environment--never once did we feel rushed, despite the fact that we were there well past their normal dine-in hours. The family spoke with us throughout the evening, they were so friendly. We had a chance to discuss our daughter's food allergies (she wasn't with us) and how they could possibly accommodate her safely if we return in the future with her. We ordered the vegetarian platter appetizer (2 samoas and 4 veggie pakora), paneer tikka masala (mild spice), chicken tikka masala (medium spice), and naan. Everything was cooked perfectly and the spices were on point. The food was presented beautifully, and they refilled the rice as soon as it started looking low. At the end of the evening, the wonderful family brought us each a dish of rice pudding to try, compliments of the house. This was unexpected and very kind. The restaurant is beautiful, very clean, the decorations are lovely and the ambiance is great. I'd recommend it to anyone! read more
