    Expired atta
    Sanjana I.

I wish I could rate them negative. This is second time I came across an expired product. I had ordered few groceries through instacart from Namaste Plaza. The dosa atta was good to be eaten by 6th feb 2020 and I had ordered through instacart on 3rd jan 2021!!! I would say no one should buy products from here.

This maggi packet! How did it end up in Namaste Plaza when it is only certified to sold in India,Nepal and Bhutan?

Have tasted samosa from a lot of similar stores before, but this turned out to be the best, they tasted very good and the price, was reasonable too.

I love the cultural and specialty foods I can find here. The store definitely gets packed on the weekends so try to come during the week. I've never had a problem with the butchers and clerks at this store. I've seen customers get their chicken or beef cubed and trimmed and the employees gladly did it. I don't understand the negative reviews. If people have had a bad experience, I encourage them to try it again. Things have changed over the years and this place keeps getting better and better. They also provide meat for the restaurant next door. I recommend trying both!

I have been in many halal stores and all of them are somewhat dusty or dirty or something but this one is probably one of the cleanest in the tri valley area! Even when cooking with the meat it's very clean there's not much cleaning I have to do at home either and that is very rare to see!! The people here are always very helpful. They have a wide variety of things. They sell halal rotisserie chicken here this is first I have ever seen. One day I want to try it! Anyways definitely love Rahma come here if u are looking for halal meats. They have New York and ribeye and even deli meats!

For crispy skin roasted pig , San Rita road location is the best . I bought my $14.99 combo box today . It is a large rectangular box and you can fill in with items of your choice . It is $14.99 . If you buy just one meat item and a medium size paper box is already $12 The self served deli section has fried rice , stir fry egg noodle and hor fun ( rice fiat noodle ) . Many different types of cooked vegetables ( Napa , broccoli, zucchini, egg plants , etc ) and meats ( chicken , beef , fish , shrimp , beef brisket ) tofu , etc . They all taste great and you can stack up a lot more of you put the smaller pieces in the bottom . I bring my own extra containers. After I paid the cashier I put all the salt & pepper fish filet into my own container to keep it dry and fluffy. The batter they use are very tasty and light. It has so much room I have enough food to last me two meals . For the $14.99 combo you must put in some rice and vegetables. Cannot be all meats . That is not hard to arrange . I have includes photos and the prices list for the deli section . They get the first batch of food around 11:00 and then refill once around 2 pm . During the holidays , you can order grilled turkey marinaded in BBQ flavor . It is delicious and we order it often .

And they've gotten a lot more pricey. Like some of the buns, fresh or frozen has gone up $2-3. Same with their fresh meat, poultry, and seafood. Selection is not as great and their prices have gone up. The store isn't as organized like before. Also, the smell of dried fish always hits you as soon as you walk in. And still there's the lack of customer service. I'll probably be back only if I'm in need of a particular item, but that's about it.

The hype has die down. I really like their produce section. There is a big selection of fruits and vegetables and everything looks clean and fresh. I also like the seafood selections. We got makeral and black cod and asked them to gut and scale the fishes for us. We also bought some baby octopus. Their meat selection on the other hand, I don't like as much. I have gotten their pre-marinated beef and prok before and for some reason they don't taste as good and fresh as the other H-Marts in my opinion. This location has a decent selection of cooked foods (bento boxes, kimbop, etc). I bought them before and felt like they were just ok and a bit overpriced. Overall, I am glad that we have a H-Mart in the tri-valley area now so I don't have to drive all the way to the southbay. The checkout area is a bit small but not crowded this time. My last feedback is for the store to staff their roasted sweet potatoes area better. I waited many times for it but only was able to get them the first time I was there. There is a timer showing how long the wait is but they are not accurate. One time I wanted over 30 minutes and finally gave up!

First was the classic and probably the most popular, Chapssaltteok. It's basically a Korean sweet rice cake, similar to Japanese mochi, made with chewy glutinous rice flour and filled with sweet red bean paste. It was really good. From the very first bite, I could immediately tell the difference from Japanese Mochi. Japanese Mochi tends to have a sweeter rice cake, while the rice cake in this Chapssaltteok was slightly salty, which balanced out the sweet red bean paste filling really well. The rice cake itself was super soft and chewy. Very good. I also bought another variety that was very similar, except instead of being dusted with some kind of starch, it was coated with Sesame Oil. They looked super shiny! Both coatings did a great job of keeping the rice cakes from sticking together, and also, they were equally delicious. The third one looked the most interesting, but unfortunately it didn't taste as good as the other two. It was a rice cake with very very thin black sesame layers and coated with a mixture of crushed nuts like peanuts and almond. The texture was a bit tougher than the other two rice cakes, and I think it could've used a little more sweetness. I'd definitely love to try more of their products. They were priced around $10 to $11 per container, a little more expensive than the nearby mom and pop Korean shops in the area.
