It's been a while since I lived here so I'm not really sure. Lots of unique Mediterranean ingredients and items can be found here that might not necessarily be readily available at other markets in the area. The folks here are very friendly and are very helpful. On my visit, we came by quickly just to pick up some of their lavash. It's really close to where some family of mine lives and we were making some baba ghanoush that evening. This location is very convenient for my family. Although I wasn't able to be there and buy more items, I definitely would love to shop here at some point for more stuff and I think you could order catering or large to go orders here as well read more

Recently picked up a large to go order for a family gathering. Everything was made in time and packed nicely for pick up We were missing a few items that we ordered but door dash made it right The beef shashlik was the best out of the bunch. Savory, flavorful, and moist. Chicken was really well spiced. Hummus was good while babaganoush felt a little chunky. Pita was really thin and lacked any flavor. All in all a good meal with a few hiccups but worth another go around. read more

The pesto is incredibly fresh and strong. My wife who purchased the babaganoush here previously said it was incredible. Service was welcoming and friendly. The cashier was outside smoking hookah. Ambiance is dark but plenty of items on the shelves and food looks enticing. Would come back just for all the spreads. read more

While I was waiting for my dinner to be prepared from Shish Grill, I had a little extra time to peruse the market next door. It's a very nice family run market. They offer you great customer service. WOW, they have so many amazing different choices of foods to choose from. Since I am rather new to Mediterranean food, I was like a kid in a toy store. The store is small, they have soo many products! I wanted to go specifically for the Knafe thinking they would have freshly baked one since they did had other fresh baked desserts but they only had it frozen. It was difficult to explain it to the man there because of there was some language barrier. He only pointed us to the frozen section so we took some home and microwaved it. It was good but I woulnt prefer it to purchase it frozen. Maybe its just my preference. read more

I suggest that the chicken shish be cut into smaller pieces and cooked till done. The part that was cooked tasted good. But the middle part was pink. The pieces were too big. I liked the service and the people were very nice and efficient. Nice atmosphere and clean appearance. Food isn't the best here but I'm writing the review for the market. I really wanted to give my business to the closest middle eastern market and came in to grab a few things. I really appreciated the help at first as the man behind the counter offered to help me find aleppo pepper. While I was grabbing my last items I noticed him watching me and as I checked out he asked me if I was married and the conversation in general left me a bit uncomfortable. Located next to Shish Grill, and I presume, under the same ownership. I was excited to find a middle eastern market in San Ramon just a few blocks to where I live. It's small, but they have a nice variety of the basics. I like that they have a small area for fresh vegetables, but good God -- the combination of VERY high prices and lack of cleanliness is a big TURN OFF. So, no thank you Shish Market. I am more that happy to go up Bollinger to The Souk, or to Danville to the International Market. PS. Hot food reviews should not be here, but under Shish Grill! read more

I usually get food from the grill almost twice a week but never gave this store a try. Good god have I been missing out! Every single spice I need plus sooo much more! There's a fridge full of different variations of baklava's and Turkish delights galore! The store has so many items it's quite overwhelming to be honest. Most of the items are things that are unfamiliar to me however the staff are very helpful. I had about a thousand questions. It's a cute little hole in the wall. Shelves are stacked and neatly organized. Definitely will be adding this store to my weekly shopping trips especially for the European chocolates. read more

What a market! They have every spice needed that you cannot find at other stores. Fresh produce and pita bread can also be found here which makes this market an A+ for me. On top of that they have an amazing variety of desserts that include baklavas and Turkish delights. read more

Looks very promising, I saw the advertisement on Facebook about the soft grand opening of sorts. I've eaten at the restaurant a few times and this is a welcome addition to the area at least imo. The place itself is clean and decent size to maybe small to some people. The shelves are or were at the time getting there in terms of being full or fully stocked. I'm not an aficionado on cooking from this region but I will say their prices are within range and reasonable on some of the stuff I did somewhat recognize. As for the cashiers, they were very friendly and attentive because they were asking for possible suggestions for additional products for their store, for me I could only think of frozen lotus root which I saw at a local Indian market..so we'll see if they decide to bring it in or not. read more

Went in the other day looking for certain spices that I couldn't find anywhere else. Was pleasantly greeted and asked if I needed assistance. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the spice I needed (the last ingredient for this special recipe). After some quick thinking on her part, I was able to purchase a small amount from the their restaurant side! This completely saved the meal my nephew and I were making to surprise our family. I absolutely love Shish Grill and Shish international & European market! The owners are super nice and always take time to chat. They have an amazing selection of goods. I just wish that they carried Halal turkey salami. They sell it at Tesco in London (Adalya Halal Turkey Pizza Salami), and grocery stores in Germany (Texa-Star) and Spain (Najma Spanish Turkey Salami); it's such a great charcuterie board addition for the holidays. I have not been able to find anything besides turkey pepperoni anywhere in the bay area. So this would be a great product addition and I think would meet great demand! read more

I LOVE this clean, friendly ME/Lebanese Market with great quality well priced fresh items. Their white cheese in brine in a tall tin in refrigerator section is a family favourite! Also their soft wonderful pita smeared with Shish garlic spread is to die for divine! Nancy is a delight! The older gentleman-maybe her father is so sweet and helpful. This green eyed blonde is in love w/this market! They even carry frozen Moulikiya for the National Chicken dish of Egypt. This green leaf is popular w/many ME cuisines. Amazing! Went in just to check it out while we were waiting for our food next door at Shish Grill, and I left with a bag full of goodies I can't wait to try. Big selection of imported sweets (the first thing I always gravitate to) and breads/pita, pickled goodies and grape leaves, dried beans and lentils and grains, frozen meals, juices and drinks, fruit, teas and more.
