Pretty solid matcha! Nana's Green Tea is THE place for all things matcha- lattes, parfaits, and more! I tried both of their matcha lattes. They have two types: Kyoto and Shizuoka. Kyoto was described to me as being richer and more umami in flavor whiles Shizuoka has a fresh lighter profile. Of the two, I definitely prefer Kyoto more! It was creamy and hit all the strong grassy notes.
I've met Nana in Singapore several times before... LOL I was ecstatic to learn there was a location in Bellevue. I don't remember the menu having this many choices. Looks like the menu expanded or its the "bigger is better" cliche for zzz eMuricans... Murica! The venue is a good size as well, well to be fair Singapore doesn't have much room. Parking, now that's a different story. Good luck with that, especially on a busy day. Our interaction with with the staff was pleasant, no issues, no dramas. #SWEETS: Parfait ------------------------------------------ ~ Black Sesame Warabimochi Parfait - 4/5 More like 3.5 **** runded up to 4 **** Never thought I'd catch myself saying this: The Black Sesame itself was too strong, akin to eating Black Sesame paste. Almost not enjoyable. However, when you mix it up with everything it's much better! The Ice Cream and the rest of the Parfait balances the taste. ~ Hojicha Warabimochi Parfait - 4.5/5 Basically a perfect Hojicha Parfait. Good tea flavor, not too sweet, very satisfying. I don't remember these flavors in Singapore. So glad I got to try them. Can't wait to see Nana's in the bay.
Our friend took us here since we were in the area. She likes this place because parking is easier than the other Nana's locations. We found one right across the street. This place has a big menu! Everything looks good so it took us awhile to make up our minds. Ordering at the counter was quick with the nice cashier. She helped with making a couple of suggestions with our orders too. Really liked the drinks including the customer favorite Macha brown sugar latte. The macha parfait was also very tasty.
Tried two matcha drinks from Nana's Green Tea and both were seriously refreshing and well-balanced. The matcha soda with soft serve was the surprise favorite -- crisp, lightly sparkling, and not overly sweet. The soft serve melted into the drink perfectly and made it extra creamy without overpowering the matcha flavor. The matcha frappe with soft serve was richer and smoother, with a stronger creamy texture and a nice earthy matcha flavor. Friendly staffs. No more parking validation.
I love Nana's Green Tea! I am a huge fan of Black Sesame and their Black Sesame parfait is incredible. I love stopping by here when I am in the area and getting a treat. Everything I have tried has been great. Highly recommend!
I have LOVED Nana's in Japan and I'm sure this lication import all the ice cream and soft-serve mix from Japan so they taste the same. And ice creams do taste the same as in Japan. However, I always find this location putting way too much cornflakes. It's not done that way in Japan. They need to learn how to do it correctly. And, a cup of soft-serve had a big hole in the middle. It's a scam. I love Nana's but this made me not wanting to go back. It was a HUGE disappointment. Please learn how to make proper soft-serve cups as well. Service also could've been better.
A unique cafe recommended to us that specializes in matcha and hojicha. They offered a pretty spacious area for indoor seating and seemed like a great place to study or do work. We tried the matcha espresso shot an onigiri which was a nice little treat. The staff were helpful in explaining the differences between the variations of drinks and we got a pager for our order. This place is definitely not your average coffee shop which is why we found it to be such a cool experience. The matcha espresso was very light in comparison to a normal shot but was tasteful. Prices were comparable to your local Starbucks. Would definitely come back to try something different next time!
It was a hot day, and we thought we should get something to cool us down as we enjoy a nice walk around the park. Nana's Green Tea is a great place to get something to go or to stay in. They have drinks, soft serve and parfait options. We got the matcha swirl and the summer special Yuzu mochi cone. The service was quick; however, the matcha cone looked like it need a stronger base. It was literally almost falling over when we got it. The Yuzu cone was supposed to come with 3 mochis, but they only put 2. When I asked about it, the server quickly apologized and gave me 2 more. Unfortunately, one of the mochis promptly fell onto the floor as I was holding the cone. Other than that, we enjoyed our treat.
NANA'S GREEN TEA @ BELLEVUE Parking is pretty easy here, there's a lot right next to the shop, and there's also free street parking. When I arrived around 8 PM on a Friday night, there were still a few spots open. If you see street parking first, I'd just take it. The walk isn't bad at all. My friends and I visited Nana's Green Tea after hearing about it nonstop on social media and from people we know. When we walked in, the place was packed, people everywhere and we had arrived around 8:30 PM, about 30 minutes before closing. By that time, they were only taking to-go orders, and all the bakery items were already sold out. They still had their full drink menu available, though. I ordered the matcha soft serve, and my friends tried a couple of the parfait-style drinks, one with cereal and one with horchata. Altogether, it came out to about $30. It's definitely on the pricier side. The soft serve came from a standard machine, and the matcha flavor wasn't anything special. For $8, it felt a bit overpriced, and I've had much better quality matcha elsewhere. As for the parfait, it was decent but very simple, whipped cream, three mochi pieces, and ice cream. The flavor was interesting, but again, not necessarily worth the price. The ambiance is nice, though. The space is modern, clean, and bright, with high tables and a really lively vibe. The only downside was the service, staff seemed rushed and pushed us to order quickly, which I understand since we came in close to closing, but it still felt a bit overwhelming. Overall, I don't think I'd come back. Nothing stood out enough to justify the price, and the flavors were pretty ordinary. But if you're a big matcha fan and you're already in the area, it might still be worth stopping by to try it for yourself.
Ok, so of all the Japanese icecream shops I've been to, Nana's Green tea has got to be my favorite so far! I Love All the flavors they offer. The Hojicha is my favorite! It has a strong roasted tea flavor, mmmm so Good! The Black sesame & Matcha icecream were so good too, with strong flavors of matcha and the Black sesame almost tasted like peanut butter. While here I also grabbed a bag of sencha & Hojicha tea. Whenever I'm in the area, I always make it a point to stop in for some ice cream or soft serve! Highly recommend!!
NANA'S GREEN TEA IN BELLEVUE~ What I ordered... {Matcha Warabimochi Parfait}: - The parfait had perfect sweetness (not too sweet). Matcha taste profile was nice too...pretty earthy. I really enjoyed the toppings included: matcha ice cream, whipped cream, red bean, warabi mochi, corn flakes, and matcha jellies. All of the toppings complement the parfait very well! Loved the corn flakes as it added a nice crunch and the warabi mochi too. The mochi was superrrr soft; tastes pretty authentic! This parfait is worth a try! {Strawberry Matcha Latte}; - I believe this drink is seasonal but I'd say it's skippable. I was highly anticipating the matcha in this drink to have the same earthy profile as the parfait but unfortunately it didn't. The drink tastes very milky/bland, and I don't think I'd be reordering this unfortunately. Ambiance wise, it's a very nice store inside and well-kept! Place is super clean/modern. This location, is definitely more accessible compared to the downtown Seattle location. Customer service has room for improvement...underwhelming...as the worker kept minimal interaction. However, because of the location and the parfait alone, I'd return and next time, hopefully the service is improved on :)
BEST MATCHA/ASIAN ICE CREAM SUNDAE IVE HAD EVER. im from the bay so that says something, so sad they don't have it back home. fairly priced, $13 parfait (warambi mochi, hojicha jelly w syrup, white ice snow, corn flake, scoop of bean paste, whip cream, scoop of hojicha ice cream), shared among 2 ppl. we also got the matcha cone, soft serve is $6, ice cream cup is $5 and cone is not extra charge. high quality ceremonial quality, thick + creamy. id be here every weekend if i lived in seattle. plentiful seating inside, parking hard to find. nice outdoor seating too. read more
Overall: Nana's Green Tea has a lot of options to order from, there will be something that you like on that menu. The parfait balanced textures well and had strong overall cohesion. Food: The parfait was solid, but in all honesty, the green tea wasn't very pronounced. For a place that specializes in green tea, you would think that the green tea flavor is strong. Among all the other ingredients in the parfait, it kind of just tasted like vanilla ice cream. But the rest of the parfait was fantastic. Service: The service was great! My order came out quickly and the staff were helpful with offering recommendations. Ambiance: This chill spot to hang out with friends or just grab a seat. Plenty of seating inside. read more

For a place with "Green Tea" in the name, you would expect a 5 star rating on the matcha. Although it wasn't the worst I've had- it was very disappointing to say the least. As someone who drinks matcha religiously, the matcha latte here tasted like sweet grass. The soft serve was actually better but you would think the matcha latte would be the star. The service was also terrible. The girl working the register honestly ruined the experience before it even started. I had this place marked to try while visiting WA and was left disappointed. read more
4.5 stars. Nana's is a must for matcha lovers! If you love matcha you have to try this place at least twice... I always have a great experience here and my latest experience here was amazing!!! The matcha croissant is soooo delicious! :) Parking can be difficult sometimes but I usually don't have a problem with people coming and going in the nearby businesses. I find free street parking quickly. Reading other reviews it seems they may validate garage parking? I'll have to ask about that the next time I visit, so not sure. The store is so beautiful and so relaxing to me even when busy. I really enjoy the atmosphere. Staff is always friendly and extremely nice even when busy! The only thing I've had that is inconsistent here is the matcha chocolate iced latte...as no chocolate was detected. And the price of the parfaits is a bit high in my opinion. These are the two reasons I drop my rating by .5 stars. However I've been here so many times now and loveeee this place! I still need to visit the Seattle location. I've tried the frapps, lattes, soft serve, and pastries now and so far my favorite thing I've tried has been the matcha croissant! The croissants are huge and cost $6.50 which I was satisfied with. I tried both the matcha and black sesame. Both sooo delightful. Croissant was perfectly soft and flaky with the delicious cream inside and glazing on top. Soft serve is rich in flavor and the waffle cone adds a sweet crunch! I have stopped by with my boyfriend here multiple times, brought my friend here so she could try Nana's for the first time as she loves matcha, and I've stopped by many times so you could say.... I LOVE NANA'S GREEN TEA!! So happy that there's one super close to the bellevue offices. I went here after work with my friend and it was kind of small compared to the downtown seattle or nyc location. The service is typical, you order at the front and they bring it to you at your table. You have to put up your dishes and trash up yourself. The matcha mochi parfait always hits and is shareable in my opinion with another person. The matcha flavor is really good compared to other places! Love all the combinations of red bean, matcha jelly, mochi, corn flakes, vanilla ice cream! Nana's has become a go-to for me. The drinks and treats are always consistent so you know what to expect. Their offerings are on the sweeter side but not sickeningly sweet. The parfaits are a must and can easily be shared. Big fan of their hojicha drinks but their matcha (iced) is nice too. It can be hard to find seating, and a clean table at that. You'll also have to bus your own dishes. Besides the constant busyness, sometimes not-so-clean tables, and having to bus your own tables, the smooth drinks and well-balanced parfaits will keep me coming back. read more
Nana's Green Tea is a matcha lover's heaven! I was so excited when they opened on the Eastside a few years back so that I don't have to trek out to SLU anymore! It is my favorite place in Bellevue by far. And if you don't like matcha, they also have plenty of hojicha and black sesame options too! No matter what you order, their desserts never disappoint. My favorite items are the... MATCHA SOFT SERVE LATTE - vanilla soft serve in an iced latte. Basically a matcha affogato, but with a higher matcha to ice cream ratio. You can choose from three types of matcha for the latte base: Kyoto (mellow umami taste), Shizuoka (strong and smooth), and Mie (sweet, slight astringency, but clean aftertaste). Substitute matcha soft serve for $1 more. MATCHA SOFT SERVE ($7) - rich and vibrant green soft serve in a cup or waffle cone. You can really taste the matcha and they give you a lot! You can also order with mochi anbd red bean paste (+$1.25), chocolate cake (+$1.75), or my favorite, warabi mochi (mochi made from brackenstarch that is less chewy and dense than your typical mochi) (+$1.25). BLACK SESAME ICE CREAM ($5 per scoop or $12.75 per pint) - super potent and honestly better than their matcha hard serve in my opinion. Their ice cream is made by Olympia Ice Cream company. Note that they only serve black sesame hard serve ice cream (they unfortunately do not offer black sesame soft serve). MATCHA WARABIMOCHI PARFAIT ($12.50) - an Instaworthy dessert that looks like you got it in Japan! It comes with vanilla soft serve, matcha pudding jelly, corn flakes, and matcha hard serve. Similar to the matcha soft serve, you can order it with mochi and red bean paste. It's very big and filling and so I recommend sharing it with a friend! You can also substitute matcha soft serve for $1 more. The hojicha and black sesame parfaits are the same as the matcha parfaits, except they contain hojicha and black sesame hard serve and pudding respectively. Note that service can be slow as they are usually very busy, especially during the weekends. There is a kiosk to order to go orders, but you can also order at the register. Their interior is very modern and they have limited indoor seating. If you can't snag a seat indoors, you can take your dessert to go to enjoy at Downtown Bellevue Park which is only a 2-3 minute walk away. TIPS: - The Bellevue location has a shared parking lot (Venn). If you buy something at Nana's, you can get your ticket validated. Otherwise, you can park on the street or at the park. - The Bellevue location does NOT have hot food like the Seattle location. However, they do offer onigiri (rice balls) for about $5 each (limited quantities) - The Bellevue location does not have reward points. Only the SLU location does. Overall: 5/5 for food/drinks, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere read more

I fell in love with this spot! It's super cute on the inside with a good amount of seating. I went on a Bellevue matcha tour and this was the grand finale. I ordered the coconut matcha croissant (which was my favorite !!!), matcha ice cream parfait (matcha ice cream is always amazing), the matcha cream roll, and the matcha pound cake (sadly the matcha cream puff was sold out). Nana's Green Tea is my go-to spot for authentic matcha drinks and desserts. Their matcha is high-quality, rich, and flavorful, with a variety of toppings and textures that make every sip delicious. They also have a seasonal menu, and I recently tried the Strawberry Sakura Croissant. It was super flaky with a perfectly balanced custard that is not overly sweet. Their soft serve parfait is a favorite, featuring layers of matcha jelly, vanilla soft serve, green tea ice cream, frosted flakes for crunch, and soft mochi for a great mix of textures. A must try! My friends and I came here to get our parking validated after eating at the restaurant next door. They ordered the Matcha Mochi Parfait. The cafe was packed and we had difficulty finding a spot to sit for the four of us. It was also a little dirty with sticky floors. My friends enjoyed the parfait they shared. The corn flakes added a nice crunch to the smooth texture of the matcha soft serve. The mochi was bland, lacking flavour and not really adding enough to the dish to warrant being part of the name. We got lured in by the pictures of the parfait. While it does look very aesthetically pleasing, the taste is pretty underwhelming. Coming in at $13+ for the matcha warabimochi parfait after tax, it's hard to say it's worth a stop just for this. Parking is pretty difficult as other reviews mentioned too. read more

First time here, saw this place on TikTok and wanted to try it out cause I've been into matcha lately. Place does get busy but it goes by fast, there is a kiosk right by the door if you want to order yourself. Matcha was alright, it didn't give me that wow factor. I got the Mie matcha base which is on the sweeter side apparently but it wasn't sweet at all, it was mid, flavor was subtle. The matcha ice cream & the matcha pound cake was good. Cafe is pretty cute, there are plenty of seating. read more
Nana's Green Tea is amazing and easily my most favorite matcha spot in Bellevue. There's parking nearby and around the streets and the interior is cozy, clean, but kind of small. It can easily get pretty crowded inside so fair warning! My favorite drink is the Matcha Warabimochi Frappe. The matcha is mild and the frappe is mildly sweet and very refreshing! The warabimochi on top is chewy and has a bit of a nutty flavor from the bean powder topping. I've tried some of their pastries and seasonal items over several visits and loved everything I've tried so far! read more

The matcha wasn't as good as I remember it. Maybe the Seattle location is better? The milk tea croissant though was phenomenal. Service was decent and seating was limited. Tables were also a little dirty so we had to wipe it down ourselves with napkins. Probably won't be visiting for a while. read more
I've been to Nana's before, but it was never in a cute cafe like this one in Bellevue. Seems like a popular place for families and students, a few were here to work/study. It's one of the biggest Nana's I've been to and I'm quite impress with the spread of items they have on their menu: rice balls, pastries, ice cream, and coffee/tea. Line moved pretty fast and people were quick at busting their tables. We were able to snag a table to enjoy our ice cream and vegeterian rice ball (not pictured) both both tasted fresh/delish! read more

Nana's Green Tea is always a staple dessert place to go to with your friends! The parfait is definitely big enough to share with one or two friends. It contains mochi, corn flakes, soft serve, ice cream etc. I've gotten to try the Hojicha and Black Sesame and I enjoyed both of them! It can be a bit sweet though. I personally prefer the inside of the Cap Hill location, but both are nice and clean. It can get crowded with people, but I like that you can study here too if you want! They're mainly known for their parfaits, but they also serve just the ice cream and drinks too! read more

Tried the location in Seattle and loved it. Was in the area and wanted to try out Bellevue's and its just as good. I ordered a Hojicha Latte. They provided me two packets of sugar, which i didnt use because i love the bitter taste. Spent about an hour here. Other people were staying longer or seemed like they have stayed as long. Its a place where you can relax, read a book, and/or work. It is a bit noisy, but i find the background noise is sufficient enough to get stuff done. read more

So happy to have Nana's Green Tea on the Eastside! I visited on a Monday afternoon, and it was pretty busy with just a couple seats left. There's a tablet to order takeout only and a counter to order from an employee for dine-in. I ordered the matcha latte and matcha mochi parfait, as those were recommended by the staff as the most popular dessert and drink. After ordering, I was given a number to take to my table (they bring the food and drink to you). It didn't take long to get my items, and they were both delicious. I could tell they use a good quality matcha in the latte. The matcha mochi parfait had so many fun textures and flavors. I really enjoyed the layered dessert. It can be tough to find a street parking spot, but there's a parking garage directly to the right of the entrance of Nana's. Park there, bring your ticket to the cashier, and you can get two hours of free parking! read more
Nana's Green Tea is such a great spot for studying! The interior is clean, fresh, and super inviting--perfect for getting comfortable and settling in to study or relax for a bit. The vibe is calm and cozy, which made it so easy to stay focused. (it makes you more locked in when studying when you see other people grinding and being locked in lol which Nana's had plenty of) I tried the matcha mochi parfait, and it was absolutely delicious. The matcha had just the right amount of bitterness as the soft serve and red bean balanced it out. The mochi added the perfect chewy texture alongside the cornflakes. Located in old downtown Bellevue within walking distance to Bellevue Park. Came here for their matcha and vanilla soft serve -- very smooth! I didn't want it swirled so they put it in separate cups.(4/5) Efficient staff, clean and ample seating - but it does get busy. Large variety menu from matcha, red bean, black sesame, hojicha, teas, parfaits, ice cream to choose from. Great summer hours -- open 10AM until 10:30PM! I recommend trying if you like matcha. It's nice to have these sweet offerings available. :-) read more

Nana's is one of my favorite places to visit when I'm craving a sweet treat. I'm a big matcha fan and they do matcha so well. The best place I been in the US. They consistently serve high quality matcha and that is both reflected by the color and the taste. I came on a Saturday and got their hojicha parfait which was also really good. A strong tea favor and I think it's perfect for the fall/winter weather. And of course I got a matcha latte on the side (the latte came out so fast as well speedy service!) . read more

I love matcha Nanas Green Tea has the BEST matcha pastries and ice cream! My favorite thing on their menu is the Matcha Mochi Parfait it really is sooo good! The red bean on it is amazing and I've never liked red bean before so they def got it right. As for the pastries the matcha tiramisu and the croissant are my 2 favorites the croissant is not flat and empty it's full of matcha cream and I'm obsessed! As for the matcha lattes they're pretty good it's just a good clean matcha. read more

Place was good, it's hard to find a seat but parking is plentiful at the parking structure with validation. The prices are pretty high but the desserts are rare and delicious. The service is thru the cashier and it's fast. They have a good routine about getting out the food and ordering. read more

Thought to come in for some quick on-the-go drinks for our walk around the neighborhood! I ordered the classic iced matcha latte, which was a vibrant green color. It was had a nice strong taste and was not overly sweet. We also tried the black sesame croissant which was a delightful pairing. The chicken karaage onigiri was an unexpected item to find, but it was a tasty snack. My partner ordered the brown sugar matcha latte, and if you love matcha but have a sweet tooth, I would definitely recommend that one instead! read more

What pairs perfectly with shopping around Bellevue with your best friend? The answer: a matcha parfait from Nana's Green Tea. The aesthetic here is giving bright, natural and very japandi. Perfect spot to sit down, enjoy a lil treat and yap. We shared the matcha Shiratama parfait that has Matcha pudding, ice cream, red bean paste, mochi balls, and a layer of cereal for crunch. The Sakura series for spring is one of my faves! It's subtly sweet and has a slight saltiness. The Sakura soft serve is my favorite item! It's limited time only and I'd recommend going to Bellevue location since they have more offerings. And also they have free validated garage parking! read more
Came here to try their croissants and had both the black sesame and matcha versions. Both are really good but my favorite was the black sesame! What impressed me more that the flavored fillings was the actual croissant - probably one of the best croissants I've had recently - so buttery and flaky. I also had a sip of their iced matcha lattes and it was nice too but nothing too impressive. Really want to try one of their other dessert options they have nice next. Parking is limited but if you're already in old town or downtown Bellevue it's a nice location to visit. Inside is really nice and has decent amount of seating. For some reason the temperature inside felt humid/warmer and almost muggy and wasn't the most comfortable. Would recommend checking out! read more

If you're a hojicha addict, this place is for you. The drink selection is wide, including matcha, hojicha, red bean milk, etc. There are also all the amazing pastries like roll cakes, black sesame croissant, and ice cream dessert options as well. The interior is mostly light wood and feels peaceful in the middle of downtown Bellevue. They do sell some salty snacks in the form of onigiri but I have never been impressed by them. Service has always been friendly and timely. Would highly recommend as a little getaway in downtown Bellevue for Japanese drinks and pastries! read more

Nana's has locations in Seattle and Bellevue, and I've only ever been to the Seattle one. They have my absolute favorite black sesame ice cream, so when I came to the Bellevue location that's exactly what I ordered. While the flavor was spot on and exactly what I love, the texture of this one felt a bit icy and not as thick and creamy as what I'm used to, hence the 4 star rating. However, the space is nice and there's a lot of good seating inside. Maybe it was an off day, so I'd still recommend trying! read more
I love their soft ice cream especially the hoji cha flavor. I do not know the diff between each chain location but I like the honolulu one better for some reason. It is prob subconscious since all the chain stores usually use the same ingredients especially stores within the same country. Diff countries diff resources and little different in japan. Anyhow I did not care for the Swiss roll cake. It's thick, the cake is not as fluffy and more dense and the cream is on thick and hardened. Stick with the parfait. Also matcha latte is not my favorite. 4 stars for the soft cream and parfaits read more
Had the seasonal Hanami Dango Sakura Soft Serve. Pretty yummy. The Hanami dango (pink, white, green rice balls) are flavorles, but pretty. Everything else about it good. They have a oat milk substitute for their lattes but not for their desserts.
Are there any non-dairy options for the drinks?
Yes, Matcha Soda - Matcha Americano, Latte with Oat/Soy/Almond milk
Do they allow dogs inside if we choose to dine in? If not, can we bring our pup in to order then leave after we pick up our to go items?
Unsure if they do. But if they do it can get quite crowded and loud in there. A dog could get anxiety.
Are there savory foods at this location?
No there is not. I heard there is no kitchen at this location so doesn't sound like there will be future plans either. All the pastries are made at the Seattle location.
