At the last minute I decided I wanted to get a pedicure but did not want to go to a place that reminds me of an assembly line for fingernails and toenails. No thank you! So I decided to peruse Yelp to find a place that would fit...enter Nancy's Nail Studio. I texted her at the number on her Yelp page and she answered the next morning. She was super sweet and was able to give me an appointment to fit my hectic schedule. The place is a bit tricky to find if you're not familiar with Camarillo like I am. The suite is located in the back. Once I arrived it was a small nail studio in a building that have several small business establishments. I think Nancy does the manicures and her sister Heather does the pedicures. Heather was great! She was thorough and used newly autoclaved supplies. My feet thank her!!! I will certainly be back! By the way, the pedicure was $35! I'll take that! I hate to tell more people about the nail studio because I don't want to miss out on appts but they're just too good to not tell others. Your feet will be pleased

Hybrid Gel--yes! Nancy and Heather run a clean and friendly salon. I recommend the hybrid gel by TAP. The colors are beautiful, and the buttery finish is very light and natural feeling. Heather does a very nice pedicure; Nancy's manicure is what I've always wanted but finally got.

My nail tech moved away and I was super sad...However, Nancy is AMAZING!! she did a wonderful job, she was painless and she's a perfectionist. I'm happy to have found my new nail magician, Nancy!!

Bomb.com Seriously amazing SNS nails. I was so impressed by the quality of Nancy's work. I came here as a recommendation by one of my friends and she did not fail. First time going in and I'm so happy I did. Nancy was recommended from a friend. I saw my friends nails and loved them and my friend had several nice things to say about Nancy. I got the gel hybrid nails and they look beautiful. I love the color and shape of my nails. I always like to keep them nice and short and natural looking I know just where to go. The prices and great and so is Nancy. She has several colors to choose from which makes it a little hard because they are all so beautiful. Nancy made me feel fancy! I too am very picky about my nails and often leave the nail salon unsatisfied with what I have paid for. I went in search of someone who could do them just right and let me tell you, Nancy lived up to the hype. She can do whatever you request and better than the rest. Others I have asked attempted and failed or rejected my requests for some of the more fancy designs. For the first time in a very long time I am 100%satisfied. Nancy took her time and did them just right. She's affordable and Was able to give me exactly what I asked for. After seeing Nancy's reviews & pics of her work I decided to call & make an appt for full sets. She took my daughter & myself in today earlier than I expected. Nancy is one of the sweetest people ever! She has a very pleasant & sweet personality. My daughter & I enjoyed talking to her. And let me tell you......we are EXTREMELY happy with her work!!! She's a perfectionist & made sure we were completely satisfied with the results before we left. We won't ever go anywhere else. Nancy is Amazing & we Highly recommend her! I got my acrylics filled and gel polished yesterday with Nancy and I am so happy I did! Nancy is quick but does very good work. I've had acrylic nails for years. I recently left my nail stylist of more than 8 years. I went on yelp and chose Nails by Nancy because of her ratings. I have seen her twice now, and am very happy with my nails. Because my last stylist tended to run late and take more than 60 minutes to service my nails, I was pleasantly surprised that such a good job could be done in an hour. Nancy has been on time and ready for my appointment each time. I am very happy. read more

As soon as I walked in the door Autumn and Tracy, we're so welcoming and informative, they made me feel comfortable, they answered all my questions, explained the waxing process and prep. Before I left I scheduled lower legs for the next day. I was given a sample to use as prep and exfoliation, it smelt so good! The next day I came back to get my lower legs done for the very first time and after my session with Lez I scheduled my Brazilian. She made me feel completely comfortable, I think my biggest fear was being judged because I'm a bigger girl. Lez really put me at ease, she was professional, kind, easy to talk to and by the end I knew I'd come back! Today I came back and got my Brazilian done and my underarms! The hardest part was letting everything grow out for 3 weeks. I am so impressed. Everything came out perfect! Overall experience 10 out of 10

the super cuts or fantastic sam's of waxes…read more i'm no stranger to getting waxed, since moving to VC had to find new places for beauty treatments. i was going to the sugar junkie but then my favorite specialist moved. had to start over again!! european wax center was close to home, reviews looked good thought i'd give it a try. simple booking process, had plenty of next day availability. i booked for wednesday night at 7:45 pm. they also have a discounted first time client promo. everything was looking good. i showed up early for my appt, the first desk girl was kind. now on to the wax... so i was called back by the specialist. she stayed in the room as i undressed + did not offer a wipe before the service. this was just different, all other places i've been to have done both. the room is bright lights and sterile like a doctors office lol anyways the technique was fine (or so i thought) quick and painful but i anticipated that. conversation was good, i did feel comfortable throughout the service. at the end it was a bit sales pitchy and she did bring an item to the front as i was getting checked out. i tipped 18% , passed on the item that was added to the cart and left. (at this point i would have rated 3 , maybe even 4 stars) when i got home and looked over the work - which i couldn't do immediately after she finished because again , she stayed in the room with me. it was honestly comical the work she did. the design i chose looked a mess and there was so much hair left over. i guess i was charged the discounted rate and they waxed accordingly lol. never going back here , willing to drive further to find an independent wax specialist.

Nancy is phenomenal at what she does! She is gentle and kind. She is careful and caring when giving a manicure. She has never left my skin irritated or with cuts like every other place I've been. My nails were in bad shape when I first met her, it's been almost a year and a half now and my nails look the best they ever have! People compliment my nails all the time saying they always look good. Some people think I have acrylics and I don't. Her products are of great quality and I highly recommend her. Once you go to her, you won't want anyone else doing your nails. I refuse to go to anyone else and have referred several people to her that feel the same. I cannot say enough good things about Nancy and the amazing work she does. My nails always look on point, clean, and shiny. Nancy has great ideas if you are unsure what to do. I will show her pictures that I find and want to try and she does it perfectly. Another thing about Nancy is her own nails look good! Most places I've gone, the techs don't take care of their own nails. She truly cares and has a passion for what she does. read more

We were immediately seated; I can't recall the name of the lady who did mine, but my bestie got Tom, and he was an absolute treasure. Such a kind and giving heart! We three hit it off very well, and he took a strong interest in our lives despite us being total strangers, and made conversation easily, and even shared some of his life story with us that left us teary eyed (he's a real inspiration, let me tell you!). Sometimes that kind of conversing feels awkward or forced at salons, but it naturally blossomed between the three of us, and it's made an incredible impression. In addition to a kind heart, he had a great work ethic; he really went above and beyond on making sure my friend's manicure was perfect, and she even commented to me afterwards how incredible and long the massage was. Her manicure took nearly double the time mine did (which isn't to say mine was bad; it was lovely), and I'm so grateful for how much work he put in, as it really made my friend's day! I'm due for another manicure here soon, as the last leg of moving + a very nonstop two weeks have left my nails thrashed again; but you can bet I'll be scheduling an appointment with Tom after all the great work he did!

By Wednesday night, even more nails were lifting, and the ones that had started on Tuesday had gotten significantly worse. By Thursday morning, 8 nails had more than half of the gel polish peeled/lifted off. At that point, I ended up peeling the remaining gel off myself because it was practically falling off anyway. A gel manicure should absolutely last longer than two to three days. I paid for a professional manicure and expected professional results--not gel polish that starts lifting the very next day.
