    Clam Chowder
    Mark Maureen C.

We had a Philly sandwich, a french dip and clam chowder. The clam chowder was more of a potato soup. It was good but not a typical clam chowder. It was great for dinner, reasonably priced and friendly service. The restaurant had a old western feel and could have used some attention to cleanliness but it was a fine experience.

I Landed at this non- tower airport, that's right next to the highway. Across the street from Walmart, and lucky to catch this cafe while it was still open. We first self- serve, and refueled our aircraft. Once we walked outside the gate, this cafe was walking distance. We were given a table right away. The waitress was very attentive, and gave us some time to look over the menu. Glad we shared a meal, because the Philly cheesesteak was enormous. The sweet potatoes fries was a bonus. I love the chocolate pie, because it reminded me of nation chocolate pies.

Food was great and the people and the place was wonderful. The waitress was very friendly to my Grandson. We stopped by before going home from camping and they even offered to let our fur baby come sit with us.

Love this spot. Once it was the cafe of an active runway. Now, peaceful gardens in the front and back are remnants of a quieter time. Good food and service.

Nancy's Airport Cafe just off the main drag.

Thank you Jody and all the other staff for making our visit so memorable. This local classic has been providing comfort food and great homemade pies for 60 years. I met Nancy when she was 80-something years old and that was memorable. My husband loved the pulled pork with onion crisps. I had the classic triple decker with turkey. Half came home with me. Both sandwiches included crisp fries. We both enjoyed a cold beer. Three of the couples dining had also flown in for lunch. Napa and Tracy were homemade for two couples. Big windows offer views of the runway. Comfortable booths and tables. This Willows landmark is definitely worth a visit.

Food We ordered breakfast food which is served all day long. We had veggie omelette and pancakes. The eggs were really fluffy and the omelette was flavorful. The pancakes were also fluffy and yummy. The hash browns were crispy on the outside but soft and moist in the inside. This place is a hidden gem. Service Although there was only one server, she was friendly and our orders were taken swiftly and served right away. She also checked on us a few times. She was not only attentive but her attention to detail is on point. Ambiance This place is your typical diner. Not fancy at all but clean. Lots of parking space. It's easy to get off and on the freeway. We will definitely come back.

Small airports for some reason always have a great place to eat, even if you're not flying in and just driving. This airport cafe has some of the best breakfast around. I had a big omelet served with hash browns and toast. The coffee was good too. Service is prompt and no probs at all. Good place to stop if you're in the area. The food is super scrumptious. Prices average.

Visited February 28 2026. See my receipt as always…read more I ordered the hobo omelete with a side of biscuits and gravy for breakfast.. HUGE portions! The omelete was overflowing with bacon and ham. The biscuits and gravy were tasty! I am only about 130 pounds so most of this was to go and share it with my boyfriend. They have a good menu with alot of specials. Casual and comfortable atmosphere! They also have beer and wine and other drinks. I wanted to get a banana creme pie to go but they were out of them. They also have a cute gift shop centering around bears. Sandra waited on me and she was delightful! Friendly and hard working staff! Bring your appetite because the portions are huge! Convenient off of highway 5 with plenty of parking. Definitely recommend!

This location is in Willows, just off the 5 freeway and I'm always it seems driving this stretch of road, so here I am with one other friend. The inside looks generically familiar and clean. Service was fine and we're seated fine. I ordered this double classic burger with house salad. The bigger burgers with 6 oz or even a 14oz patty seemed a little too much at the time. This classic double had two 3 oz patties, sort of like a double double at In N Out and a bunch of fixins, like lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. The side salad was large and higher quality lettuce than most chain places. My friend ordered something pretty different, a Bacon Cheeseburger Salad! It's a big salad that has everything a bacon cheeseburger has, except the bun. It's not a lettuce wrapped burger, but a real salad with a chopped burger patty on top with a pile of cheese and bacon, served with whatever dressing you want. He actually like it a lot, despite it seeming kinda weird to me. Looked good though. I was more impressed with Black Bear Diner than I thought I was gonna be. I'll come back and maybe even try other locations.

The bathrooms are clean and large enough to accommodate a large amount of people at one time. We decided to taste the gelato while waiting for our car to charge since we already had lunch, but looking at the fact that they make their own sourdough a sandwich would be a great choice for future stops. The gelato is made in house, and I had a lemon which was light and refreshing. My husband had the dark chocolate gelato. He said it didn't have a heavy milk based taste and not really creamy but very chocolaty. The server for the gelato was very friendly and let me taste first. I would stop here again even if I didn't have an EV car to charge.

Its a casual yet classy place for lunch and dinner. They have a shaded patio in front as well ( dog friendly). I love smaller towns! Relatively no traffic or crime! My boyfriend and I ordered off the lunch specials menu. He ordered the smash burger and chose macaroni salad. I ordered the grilled shrimp on a skewer with brown rice and spicy coleslaw. We always try each other's food! The smash burger was juicy and the macaroni salad was good! My shrimp had a nice grill on it and the coleslaw was delicious. The brown rice was alittle dry for my taste buds. It has a full bar with tvs to watch sports. There is quieter seating on the other side of the bar area. Overall it was a good experience!
