I travel frequently for business and have certainly had some tasty bites in my day. The French dip I had here this evening was the best I have ever had in my life. Let me say that again. BEST I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. From the perfect crunch of the bread to the tender roast beef all dunked into hot au jus it was just absolutely delicious. Not to mention the crispy hot from the fryer french fries. This meal was so satisfying that despite being in a crunch for time I just had to review this for you guys. This landmark is right next to the airport across from the new Walmart Supercenter. We had the ham and eggs breakfast. OMG. The presentation took two large plates to serve. Delicious. There was enough ham leftovers to make three sandwiches for lunch. Friendly prompt service and the coffee mug was never less than half full. Nice little diner. Plus an extra star for being open 24 hours. Ate there twice while passing by on a camping trip. I would definitely drop by again. Had 5 ounce chicken fried steak and 3 eggs both times. You have a choice of a 5(?) ounce or 8(?) ounce cfs. Satisfying CFS nothing special but you'll get what's expected.. First time pretty busy, they only browned the hashbrowns on one side, but potatoes were cooked though and tasty. But on the return trip it was empty @ 5pm, and the hashbrowns were perfect golden brown on both sides filled up like half the plate. Both times toast was brought to the table hot, I hate toast that's been sitting around. Milkshakes were good. ribeye and eggs for $8.99! Plus plenty of specials. read more

The turkey on my turkey bacon avocado was roasted to perfection and sliced thinly, the bacon was crispy, the avocado was perfectly ripe and the sliced sourdough was soft and fresh. Cheeseburger was just as it should be, the pitcher of Arnold Palmer was the perfect combo of sweet and tart and the pie is absolutely to die for! And as if all of that wasn't enough reason to give 5 stars, the friendly and attentive waitstaff remained so despite the full-house lunch crowd. No complaints as long as your remember you are at a diner - there aren't gonna be gluten-free or vegan options, you won't be listening to music you actually like and you will likely be surrounded by people who do not use Yelp. Nancy's is a classic. My wife and I fly our small aircraft up here from the SF Bay Area about once a month just to eat here, since it's at the county airport. It's not gourmet food; if you want that, keep driving till you hit Portland (north) or San Francisco (south.) Driving down I-5 yearning for their amazing lemon meringue pie,which we loved on our last visit. We called about 10 minutes out and found that other pie lovers beat us to the punch. Deep frowns here! Meatloaf, steaks, omelets, BLTs - all good. But, what you really come here for are the PIES! - Big 5 stars. You can buy them by the slice or the whole pie - you'll be charged a small fee for the pie tin, but you'll get it refunded to you when you bring it back on your next visit. Cream pies, fruit pies, all kinds of pies - and all super delicious! And there are tons of old aviation photos lining the walls. We had the chicken fried steak. I had mashed potato and my travel mate had fries. We made our dinner salads and I was pleased with the assortment of add-ons. Ranch dressing was a bit weak on the seasonings but all-in-all it was good. The CFS was very crispy and seasoned nicely. The mash potatoes had some skin in which I like. The gravy had a nice kick to it. The veggies were obviously hand cut and cooked al dente. We got some pie to go, and haven't eaten it yet, but based upon yelp reviews I'm sure it'll be great. Nancy's may be a bit past its prime, but I had one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten for dinner last night. I ordered the smoked pork belly and eggs with extra crispy hash browns and sourdough toast. Everything was perfect, except for the toast, which tasted more stale than toasted. The pork belly was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive. Negatives? The menu online doesn't match the actual menu, so that was a little disappointing. Also, the parking lot was pitch black. As a woman traveling alone, I would never visit here again after sunset - being right off of I-5, it is an abduction waiting to happen. But, if it is daytime or you are traveling with someone, this is a good place to stop. read more

We stopped here on the way north from Sacramento. We had fond memories of flying in to eat pie here many years ago, and wanted something out of the ordinary again today. So, we stopped by. The kids' milkshakes were very good. When our food came we were quite surprised by the large portions. My Cobb salad included mushrooms-- a nice touch. It was rather tasty, but a bit too much on the plate to avoid toppings falling off, especially when I needed to cut tomatoes, cucumber slices and eggs down to size. The breakfast-at-any-hour offering was a happy finding for our son ordering from the kids' menu. My husband's burger and fries were terrible-- very plain and unsatisfying. My daughter really enjoyed her open faced hot beef sandwich, complete with mashed potatoes. The restrooms were unkempt, although stocked with all necessities and roomy. We wish that the quirky aviation photos that grace the walls appeared to be a continuing tradition rather than a fading one. Overall, this is a place we are unlikely to visit again, we are sad to say. read more
