This is one of the better locations for Sardis, everything is always made fresh and it tastes great. I'm not totally a fan of the green sauce, but do be warned they try to charge you for any extra sauce you get (how many sauces depends on what you get) Great lunch special $19 for a half chicken with two sides and the service is great

Sardis will get the job done EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have never been disappointed by Sardis. The portion sizes, flavor, the staff, all wonderful! You will get your money's worth here. Crazy enough the last time I went here there was an accident and someone passed out in the establishment. The staff was so quick to rush to the person's side and about 3-4 staff members stayed with the person showing so much care until the ambulance arrived. It doesn't get more genuine than that. 10/10 recommend.

I have heard of Sardi's for some time now, but never tried it until recently. I stop by the Sardi's location in Alexandria for some lunch. The restaurant was clean and the kitchen staff were friendly. I ordered the 3 piece meal with Brussels sprouts and carrots and plantains. Got to see some other items they have I might try another time. The chicken was tender, the brussel sprouts were ok and the plantains were tasty. I received good size portions for the price. If you like Peruvian style chicken, try them out.

I wanted to try Sardis since it's a popular franchise for pollo a la brasa, one of my favorite casual things to eat. It loses some of the charm of local pollo places. They do not make sauces fresh on site, no blended jalapeño verde sauce. Their sauces are all packaged in cups, and Mayo based. Almost $16 for a quarter dark chicken, wow! Remember back in the day when you could get almost a whole chicken for that much? Overall, chicken is good, but not one of the better pollo places.

First time visiting a pollo a la brasa. The place was pretty busy during a lunch rush. The flavor is on point. I was even surprised with how the broccoli was seasoned. The chicken was flavorful and seasoned. This particular location has plenty of parking. I didn't do much research, but I will definitely come back to check out other menu items.

Location is great. Food was seasoned and served hot. Customer service was great too. I loved the music that was playing while I was eating my dinner.

Really great fast causal Peruvian chicken joint. Price is good for the portion. Chicken is very well seasoned and juicy. I wish they offered more non mayo based sauces and had something spicier but other than that everything was great! I can see myself coming back

Excited that there is finally a location relatively close to me so I do not have to cross the bridge to get this tender juiciness. I stannnnnnn for a big juicy piece of charbroiled chicken and Sardi's makes it easy to satisfy that craving! I got the quarter chicken which comes with two sides so I went with the kale with sauteed mushrooms and the roasted potatoes which were both on point! They have a huge selection of sides so you are bound to find something you like as well as dark and white meat options. The location is clean, the staff was accommodating and even offers suggestions if you are unsure of what to choose.

Lomo saltado has no flavor. Steak is over cooked and chewy. And it came w no sauce which I find strange especially being a Peruvian spot

I ordered from the DC location through Uber Eats TODAY: I ordered the ceviche sampler which had the 3 ceviches I had yesterday: (Tradicional, Cremoso y Callejero) and I think my favorite is the callejero, then the tradicional, and then the cremoso. Again to quote from my review of Reston location: "This reminds me of my time in Pero and the flavors i experienced. The ceviches are bright from the acidity of the lime. The fish, the pulpo, the shrimp were all fresh and melt in your mouth tender and the sweet potato threw in a light sweetness here and there". I also ordered the Pork Belly Bao buns but I wouldn't get them again at least not for delivery; because the steam was trapped in the container the pork belly wasn't crispy and it was more fatty then meat on the pieces. Which combined with the steam they almost because gelatinous and gummy? I was a little underwhelmed with the toppings as well. I expected to like one restaurant location better than the other in terms of food quality but I can't tell the difference it's THAT good. I cannot wait to come in person, I had my mom try the ceviches - she was impressed - and I told her she'd be my first guest who I'm bringing to Pisco y Nazca.

The line was long but they were very open about why it was taking a while (they wanted to ensure they only took orders they could fulfill and check their food inventory), once we ordered it was very fast! The food was delicious and so well made! The half chicken was what we got and it's alot of food so be ready to eat! The rice, plantains, and yuca are so yummy, highly recommend any of those sides. The sauces are all delicious as well, you can't go wrong. Such a great place to get quality dinner and the seating it plenty! 5/5

Though what I really like about the place changed. When I first went all they offered was Chicken, Cole slaw, and fries. In a world of many option I actually thought this sent a message that we are so good we only offer a limited choice that's you will enjoy. Tbf the fries can't compete w McD or Chikfila Waffle fries but they were good. The service counter is modernized and they are efficient and friendly. The layout if the restaurant is still basic like the limited menu they used to have. No frills no gimmicks just good food. Still the same vibe The chicken was still very good. Other places are fairly close but Apollo Rico is just a touch better. The charred seasoning is evident. What tipped the scales for me in comparison to other places I've been is the green sauce. It liked fresh. It wasnt like other places where that has the consistency of ketchup it looked bright green and freshly made vs other places where it seems as if it was poured out a container.

But the shrimp saltado was forgettable, and the chicha morada was a letdown -- mostly ice, barely any flavor. It tasted like purple-tinted water, not the real thing. I explained my mother doesn't eat beef. She bit into one at home and stopped. It was beef. There was no way to know from the outside. I understand that mistakes can happen, but it was disappointing to receive the wrong empanada after I had specifically explained that my mother does not eat beef. What made the situation even more concerning was that the beef did not seem fresh. In addition, while the empanada looked properly baked and golden on the outside, the dough inside was still undercooked. Unfortunately, this experience changed my overall impression of the restaurant.
