Consider this my love letter to Crosswinds. I've been here quite a few times, sometimes with…read morefriends, sometimes on date night, and sometimes after a tough game of pickleball down the street. What do I love about Crosswinds? Well, I love that they have those daily specials. Wing night/ bottomless pasta night, Friday fish and chips, steak night, and more. I usually don't even participate in the special (except for wing night because it's wing night, duh.) but I love that you can get a steak for a reasonable price. I'm more likely to order the fish sandwich, which I've had two or three times from Crosswinds. And yes, I would get it again! I usually get it with sweet potato fries because once you throw some salt on there, they are delicious. Last time, our waiter even brought me two containers of tartar sauce. He knows what the people want. That is another thing I love about Crosswinds: that one waiter. I always know I am going to be well-served if he is taking care of my table. My cup will never empty, he will keep it topped off. Any request will be granted and granted promptly. He makes friendly conversation but it is not too much. He will crack a joke that's funny but not over the top. So balanced! I had a different waiter once, and I'm not sure if it is a coincidence but we had to wait forever for our food. I am pretty patient, but it was a very long time to wait. The place was not even that busy... not sure what happened but it was only once. Also, warning! The pasta on their entree menu is quite spicy. I've been sticking to the fish, but in time I will branch out again, there is a flatbread calling my name. I also love that Crosswinds is conveniently located inside the airport and that there is plenty of parking. I also love that I will soon be living within walking distance to Crosswinds, so maybe I will finally go try their breakfast, or one of those delicious pastries at the counter...

Not that this place needs more hype but I couldn't help myself. I went back twice in one trip…read morebecause the breakfast sandwiches were that good. There was a line but it moved pretty quickly and efficiently. Staff was friendly. I also loved the ambiance inside. Was very light & airy but cozy. The coffee was great too! I had an iced latte with sugar free vanilla. Now onto the sandwiches. The first day, I kept it basic with a sausage, egg & cheese. The sourdough bread was incredible and made the sandwich. On day 2 I decided to get the bb sandy which had bacon, egg, cheese, tomato, & sriracha aioli. Okay, this one was incredible!!! Not that the SEC wasn't good, it just wasn't as special. I didn't get a picture of the bb sandy but just trust me. It was perfect. Last note on the sandwiches: they are HUGE. The first day I ate the whole thing and was full for a very long time. The second day I ate half for breakfast & the second half for lunch. It was perfectly proportioned for two meals for me.

This spot is super popular and super BUSY!…read more Excellent location, in the heart of Nantucket surrounded by numerous local shops and boutiques. It was just a few doors from my hotel, and I came here a lot! Absolutely love the vibes!! Casual, yet nice. It was my go-to to chill in the mornings and early afternoons. Great place to grab pastries, sandwiches, etc. Only downside is that there aren't a lot of tables, and the place easily fills up, but they do have takeout. Their sandwiches are especially good because of their sourdough bread! I also like their cowboy cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies (even tho I'm not typically a fan of oatmeal raisin), and pumpkin muffins. I wouldn't recommend their croissants (lacked flakiness) tho.
