I came in looking for some spark plugs and ignition coils that I had called ahead about a few days prior. After waiting for someone to come out and greet me for around 15 minutes, I was told by a snarky read headed young dude at the counter that "nothing is kept put aside after a day or two" and they didn't have all the parts I needed. This place just sucks all around. Go to the Napa on Fairbanks instead. They're super cool over there and will actually have the stuff you need. Oh! And when I went to pay for the parts they actually did have for me, I asked about a military discount because I'm active duty, and was angrily asked for my ID, which is fine but almost never happens anywhere else. From the minute he picked up the phone I could tell this would not go down very well. Instead of addressing the customer first, the first thing I heard was him yelling about how the system went down. And how he wasn't printing anything because his computer does not print. That was certainly not expected. Being that I did some research on my product, I already had looked up the specs, knew the pricing, and new the part number. The only thing I had asked was if the part was on hand in their shop or if any of the other Anchorage Napa's had the part. He proclaimed it was hard to do with their systems being down that he will put me on hold to ask. Well he did keep me on hold. A few minutes later Lee enthusiastically picked up asking if I was being taken care of. I told him that Stacey was asking someone about a part and Lee quickly took charge. He also noted that the system was down, but said he could still check in another way so he then placed me hold. Just a few seconds later, Stacey came on again and said it would take 20 minutes because he couldn't do anything with the system being down. I said that was fine, Lee was also looking. All Stacey said was okay, and hung up on me. Really though? There is never a reason to be unhelpful, inattentive or rude to a customer. Especially one who (I think) is pretty pleasant and understanding. Thankfully, Lee still had me on hold. He let me know that the 5th Avenue location did not have the part on hand, however Dowling and Spenard did! And while my part was only requested my manufacturer, that they did have a Napa brand, with a 3 year warranty. He also let me know that there was a "bucket sale" going on. You buy a bucket for $2.99 and anything you can put in the bucket ends up being 20% off. Doing the math, bucket included, I end up saving an extra $30ish. Hell I'll search for anyway really to make a sale. Lee went above and beyond - between being super curious on the phone, searching for my part, finding a similar yet still compatible part for my needs, and also saving me money! I really could not thank him enough for being so helpful, and certainly let him know how much Stacey sucked. He joked that he hears that a lot. That's truly unfortunate.If I were to base my experience solely on Lee's poor service over the phone and Lee did not pick up, I would certainly take my business elsewhere. Lee, if I could I would give you all the stars on this review. But in general, I've certainly experienced better treatment at Auto Zone, O'Rielly's and half the time, at Walmart.

First price quoted for it was $157.65, after telling him nothing wrong with my battery, he proceeded to throw my battery away so if I wanted to drive away, had to buy battery from him for $170.00 now!! Turns out battery was stolen with a date on it if 4/25. Working with Daniel at Muldoon O'Reilly's, can't find where battery was ever purchased, so not only is s he a liar, but a thief and hopefully not employed there anymore after 5/7/26 when I was given a free replacement battery by Daniel!!

I went on my way out of town and my ABS light came on so I stopped at the Tesoro near the Palmer oreillys and the young lady there said that I should check with so and so at oreillys next door if I was unsure about needing brake fluid because I had been lingering at the auto stuff awhile looking confused. I did go next door and the guy was just like my own dad and checked and made sure everything was up to par and put the fluid in even tho he said I probably didn't need it, and explained ABS to me... he went out of his way to be helpful, once I said I was traveling to Tok alone. I truly appreciate customer service like this because it's very rare. A LOT) An older woman came in, and the staff went out of their way to be sure her vehicle was safe for her ride to Fairbanks (6+ hour drive) The store is smaller than some, but perfectly suiting for our small community. A battery I bought there failed on me. I brought it back, it tested bad. They assured me it was covered under warranty. They pulled my history, and easily found every part I had bought there, except the battery. It was their brand, had the date stamped on the top, I even remembered the name and description of the guy who sold it to me. All I got was a sorry, and a "can you pull a bank statement to prove you bought it here?". A bank statement? F**k off. Did I mention it happened to be the most expensive battery they sold? Now when I need parts, I have one less place I have to call when looking.
