Mixed opinion here - I stopped in to get some windshield wipers for my daughter's car. Not close to my house, but I was in the area and always want to support local business. They have the little computer thing you look up your make and model, and it spits out the wiper that you need. Her car is one of those that has two different sizes, the two wiper blades are not the same. I grabbed them off the shelf and the guy at the counter confirmed they were the correct ones for me. Got them home, and both wipers were the wrong size. Not just one, they were both wrong and really not even close. So I drive the 20 minutes back to the store and talked to another person, who now tripled checked in their computer that these were the recommended sizes. He then did some more looking, and figured out that the NAPA computer for some reason recommended two different sizes, one of which was obviously wrong. He then got me the right ones, but I had to pay an extra couple of bucks for the right ones. Pretty irritating, since it was their error that caused me to have to drive an extra 40 minutes. I'm conflicted because the guys working were definitely trying to help and ultimately I did get what I needed. But there is no reason that it should have been such a hassle, should have been right the first time. Seemed like a corporate flaw with the computer inventory or whatever, but at the end of the day the hassle flows to the consumer at the local level. read more

Called to ask for spark-plugs. Person I spoke to was not helpful, didn't seem to even care if he helped me or not. While I was waiting for my change, he went off and helped another customer then sauntered back to hand me my change. NO receipt! I said "no receipt huh?" He didn't even answer me. I returned home, put the spark-plugs in my truck fired it up and it sounded horrible So, I called the Gig Harbor Napa & talked to the manager who checked and told me I was given the wrong spark plugs by the Purdy store!!! I think it is reasonable to expect a person working in an auto parts store to be able to get you the parts you need. I'm never coming here again! read more

Very helpful staff. They will answer any reasonable question patiently and repeatedly until you get it. I have bought wiper blades before and they just walked out and put them on for me. That is pretty amazing in this day and age. The dealership wanted $50 to install the blades. If they don't have what you need and it is available they usually have it in stock within 24 hours. I was driving along this rainy evening when I heard a noise and saw that my right windshield wiper had just flown off! I pulled into Napa literally two minutes before closing. They grabbed me the correct wiper, rang me up (all of seven bucks -- "You're in luck, last day of a sale on wiper blades!"), and then put it on for me -- in the dark and rain -- even though I said I had a rag tied around the wiper arm so it wouldn't scratch the windshield on my way home and I didn't want to impose on them when it was already past closing time. read more

Arrived at exactly 5:00 pm. The door was locked (boy that's a bad sign for an absentee owner) but the employees were helping the last 2 cutomers at the counter. I only needed a bulb for a spent brake light. Employee let a customer out and told me FO with a no headshake and angry look. Being a business owner myself, I WOULD NEVER REFUSE BUSINESS. I will never be back again. If I owned the place, I would wonder how many customers have been put off by my employees not willing to give a few minutes to take care of the customers. I'd fire any employee who did not have my back. But, hey, if you have sooo much business, your don't need mine. Looking at other reviews makes me think there is no oversite in your business. read more

Horrible service. The salesperson was incompetent and very rude! Five weeks for parts is atrocious and when their incompetence was mentioned the little sales guy became rude and indignant. He even tried blaming everyone else. They ordered the wrong items and when the order supposedly arrived, not only did they forget to call us, the parts that had arrived were incomplete. This guy lost the order twice. Sent correct parts back to the warehouse by mistake and never seemed to care about it. They had lost several of the parts and then had to ask, "What we ordered. He never even apologized!! He forgot who the customer was. After twenty year's -we are done with them. Why go there when so many better places exist. read more

Best place, not always everything in stock but the staff does know a lot and is helpful

I was frequenting this store until I recently replaced my truck. Every time I was there they were happy to pull codes and make suggestions. Always spot on with their diagnosis. Unfortunately I got myself in over my head and had to have my vehicle towed to a nearby auto repair place they recommended. This was spot on too as I didn't feel I got shafted. Props to you guys. Budgeted 8k for my Jeep rebuild but they will get none of that. I have had 3 bad experiences from 2 different employees. Rude beyond belief and acted as if I was inconveniencing them with a question, like, wheres the brake grease. After last experience I will never go back, congrats, I just ordered a $850 radiator, fan, shroud and temp controller from Baxter. The toll is no longer a concern for me. read more
