    Pad Thai w/chicken

There is a small parking lot in the back of the building with access to the restaurant through a door and stairs vice front access. Quickly seated by friendly staff. Comfortable dining area and was seated at table next to fire place which was nice on a cold night. There is bar seating available as well. Gyoza was a bit greasy vice steamed and lackluster in taste . Pad thai with chicken was good, but was a little low on the flavor and punch scale for me. Good atmosphere for a quick sit down meal with family or friends!

Just riding down the street and saw this restaurant and my family went in to check it out. The inside was super cozy, they had the fireplace going and had a nice home feel to the place. The service was OK. The lady forgot my child's ice cream. We just didn't make a big deal about it. I ordered the curry with potatoes. It was very good. The spice level was just right. Look forward to going back and trying a higher spice level next time the flavored water was a nice touch and they have a nice well stock bar with a lot of different options. Everybody's food came out good nobody had any complaints. Definitely look forward to trying this place again in the future.

We were visiting Newport and had dinner at NaPha Thai, which was very close to our AirBNB. We started with lychee martinis - they were fine, not very strong though. We then split the Tom Yum chicken soup, stir fry chicken with cashew nuts, and pad see ew noodles. All was good, but I would say priced a bit higher than I would expect for the location and ambiance. Service was spotty - we were not checked on often. However, I appreciate this small restaurant being available and providing a decent dinner.

The service was prompt and respectful, the restaurant atmosphere felt like it brought some of Thailand's culture to Rhode Island, and the food was amazing! The Pad Thai was perfectly made, and they don't play when it comes to spice! after my mouth was doused in fire, the Mango Sticky Rice was exactly what i needed to calm it down! 10/10, will recommend again!

Crispy duck curry is the best here! The sweet lady that is always here gets our food super fast and it's always delicious. Sit by the fire, it's a very cozy romantic spot.

We loved this place! Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and thoughtful. NaPha is nestled in a house and it feels like you are at someone's home. Nothing tasted like it was from a can. All freshly prepared ingredients. The red curry was absolutely amazing. So so good. Chicken satay was tender and tasty. You can't go wrong here!

We arrived when there were zero people at the restaurant at 2 pm and the gentleman asked just two and I said yes, do you want to do takeout and he said no okay. They only have one fryer so we could not order spring rolls as we are vegetarian. We ordered red curry and green curry and medium spicy but he made it extra spicy. He was not interested in serving us but I did see there was a DoorDash order they prepared. The portions are very small and when I inquired if they had lunch specials he said no it is all same price which is fine! The 3.5 stars are because the restaurant is clean and food is good - give a little more curry and a lot less rice and easily 4/5

You don't get much Thai/Lao food options in Newport. I'm so glad i found NaPha! The food reminds me of meals I've have at home with my family. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Quality food, gracious staff and beautiful space. Highly recommend.

I ordered Pad Thai and Crab Rangoons on a Sunday afternoon, to go. I placed an order via the website. It was ready on time and everything was given to me correctly. The pad Thai was delicious. I ordered no spice and would probably get mild next time. It had a lot of bean sprouts on top, not a personal favorite of time but totally normal for the dish. I'd ordered it again and ask for less bean sprouts next time. There was plenty of tofu included, which was my protein of choice. They also offered chicken, beef, etc. The crab Rangoon was phenomenal. The wontons were crispy and hot. The filling was creamy, with a good wonton to filling ratio (sometimes the filling can be skimpy elsewhere! I didn't find that here). The dipping sauce was light and complimented the dish well. The inside of the restaurant was spacious and had lots of plants. I would go back to dine in and I will definitely be back to get take out. Total price was around $35 for both dishes. I'd be very interested in trying the $12.95 lunch special (see menu in photo).

Exceptional Service - Newport Sandwich Company…read more I cannot say enough great things about Newport Sandwich Company and the owner, Kevin Sullivan. I was out of state and wanted to surprise my daughter with a grinder platter, and Kevin truly went above and beyond to make it happen. It was a last-minute request, and Kevin still took the time to put everything together and personally deliver it. To make things even more impressive, there was a huge parade happening in town, which could have easily made delivery impossible. Instead, Kevin planned ahead and brought it earlier so he could get through the crowds and make sure my daughter still received the surprise. My daughter was so ecstatic and happy when she got it. Moments like that mean so much, especially when you're far away and trying to do something special for your child. The food was amazing, but what stood out even more was the kindness, dedication, and customer service Kevin showed. Businesses like this are what make a community special. If you're in the area, I highly recommend Newport Sandwich Company. Thank you, Kevin, for going the extra mile and making my daughter's day so special!

We just had another fabulous dinner at Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant--our second time dining here…read moresince last fall, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

I loved everything about this restaurant except one thing, which I'll explain, and which caused 5…read morestars to become 4 stars (I wish I could just knock off a half star but that's not how it works, I guess): My next door neighbor Judi has a hobby of catching the Newport ferry from Providence, sometimes spending a few hours and coming back, or just staying on the boat and heading back, just so she can lean back in a seat and soak up the sun. Lately she'd been telling me about a chocolate martini from The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant, and being the martini and chocolate fan that I am, I simply had to experience it. So I finally got a day when I could join her on a trip, and so we went there on Labor Day. Once there, we walked right in at 11:30 am, and were seated immediately. The interior is fun and interesting -- antique this and that, including a huge iron door that looks like it went to a furnace, and had embossed lettering, I believe it was Newport Highschool. Perhaps the restaurant location is where the HS coal room was originally??? Anyway, one the way to the table, the hostess said something about the soup and salad bar being over there to my right, and so I went to check it out, and once I took a gander inside the two soup containers, I grabbed a bowl of Portuguese Kale Soup and brought it to the table. Judi said "That's all you're gonna get?" And I said "Of course not, I'll grab some salad and maybe get a sandwich or something." "Oh" she said, and then got up to check out the soup and salad bar herself. Meanwhile as I'm slurping the delicious, heart y soup, loaded with chourico, potatoes, carrots, kale, beans, etc., I'm perusing the menu and I notice that it says that if you purchase a sandwich of $9 or more then you get the soup and salad bar for $10, and then the soup and salad bar alone was $18. Okay, so perhaps I just wasn't thinking about the world in which I now live that basically has you paying for the bread basket you might get served. But again, the hostess just basically slurred out something about the soup and salad bar and my brain heard that it was complimentary. I honestly have to wonder if that's part of the trick(?) to get you to go for it, and not realize that it's considered a meal in itself, and then you order a sandwich or whatever, and now you're paying twice the amount you thought you'd be paying, but hey, it's Newport and people are spending $40 on a stupid baseball cap. And so, you know, if you end up having to pay a bit too much at a restaurant, you don't make a scene, you just say "Yeah, I meant to do that". Okay, I'm trying not to be sardonic here, trying not to sound like one of those "everybody's out to get me" kind of folks, so I'll just shut up at this point, on this particular point. I just hope that the owners and/or managers will inform the hostess to be a bit more clear on what the soup and salad bar actually means. That'd be nice. So there was no way I was buying a sandwich to go along with the soup and salad bar -- I simply cannot eat as much as I did when I was in my 20's and couldn't gain a pound if I ate all day long. I was able to (slightly) save face once Judi went for the soup and salad bar herself and was satisfied with the freshness and deliciousness thereof. But the piece de resistance, the very reason we both came to this establishment in the first place ... the chocolate martini! So this martini looks nothing like you'd expect as clear as water. I believe it's got a vodka base, and then some creme de cocoa, and is showered in grated chocolate flakes. It was absolutely splendid! Nice and boozy without being overpowering, and the flavor was amazing. And then for some strange reason, Judi is looking at the dessert menu. She reads of a few of them, asking me if I'd like something like that. I keep saying "I'm pretty full Jude", but she was persistent. She especially was taken with the Ghirardelli Fudge Brownie with 4 Scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream. She said "What if we can get them to split it in half on two separate plates?" I said "Ohhhhkaayyyyy..." And our waitress said "Absolutely!" She came back with two large portions (see attached photo ... just remember, that's a picture of HALF of the dessert serving!). Oh my word! It was large and quite yummy. A nice, crunchy and soft brownie made with Ghirardelli chocolate, with plenty of walnuts therein, two lovely scoops of ice cream, all drizzled with chocolate sauce. A splendid way to cap it all off. So I'd go back again, just with the knowledge that it's EITHER the soup and salad bar OR a sammich, at least for a guy my age and size and appetite. But definitely for that lovely chocolate martini ... and maybe that fudge brownie to make it complete :)

I rarely see oven roasted pizza on the menu so we decided to try the Oven Roasted Chicken Grilled Pizza. The best part was actually the dough; it's thin enough where the roasted/grilled flavor comes through. The pesto and arugula were both good and paired well with the grilled chicken. The Tagliatelle was savory, earthy, and not overly creamy. The pasta itself was cooked just right. Since we were celebrating a birthday, I was so grateful that they offered us a complimentary slice of Limoncello Mascarpone Cake. It was so good! Moist, creamy, and not too sweet or citrusy. We did sit for a long while before being approached even for coffee or welcoming us but we all understood it was busy for 1 to handle maybe 7 tables that were filled! But, at some point I had to get up and go inside to politely say we had been waiting longer than one should expect! A moment or two our waitress came to take our beverage order and then after enjoying our coffee she came to take our Breakfast order, I chose the Holiday Special Omelette, which were two listed! The Shrimp and Prosciutto Omelette with Avocado sounded Amazing so that was my Choice! We all ordered! When it all arrived we took photos of each and they all looked very tasty! Anticipating my breakfast I delved into my Omelette and ate a bite and it was very tasty, took another bite still very tasty.....I paused and wondered " Where is the Shrimp and Prosciutto and Avocado?" I told my family member, I don't see either, we joked she said "maybe it's chopped... ". So, I flagged the waitress and asked her if this is what I ordered and she said, " She made a mistake thinking there were only one Special Omelette and apologized and will have one made immediately! I said Ok, she left and we joked about the Staff and then THE OMELETTE ARRIVED! It was spectacular looking and even better tasting! Unfortunately, my family already finished but it was OK! We sat still enjoying more coffee and then without being aware accidentally spilled coffee on my families slacks but we chose NOT to mention it! It was obviously this Waitress should have had additional help to take care of the outside guests! She was polite and did her best but she was overwhelmed! She brought the Check and she did mention she would remove my Omelette from the Bill as a courtesy for the error! That was acceptable and nice of this Cafe to do that! The Food was Excellent The Location outside was Nice The Service was a comedy of errors! The Day was Still wonderful!
