Horrible Service.. I don't give reviews but wanted to let others know about this place.....Go elsewhere!! Dealt with Angel, who is either a liar or completely incompetent! I reserved a CX-50 on 3/5, with an estimated arrival in early April. I specifically requested to Angel that they do not drill holes in the front bumper for the front plate or I would walk away. "Yes,of course. Your folder will be put to the side when they arrive" I was told. 3/19 Mazda notified me the car was in route to the dealership. I text messaged Angel to remind him (or her) not to drill the holes for the front plate. Angel said the car was scheduled to arrive 3/26. Angel sent me a message on Thursday 3/26 "Your CX-50 has landed!" I reminded Angel once again not to drill holes for the front plate. Angel responded "we made sure yours was specifically attended. No holes on the bumper...we will take care of her" Friday 3/27 I told Angel I would be in Saturday morning to pick up the car. I arrived on Saturday 3/28 to pick up the car ..Texted Angel with my ETA..."Drive safe" was the reply. When I arrived, Angel is nowhere to be found, and I have a lackey trying to help me out...sure enough, when he finds the car, the front bumper had the holes drilled for the front plate and he blamed the service department. I told the lacky I was going to walk and wanted my deposit refunded. He said Angel is working on it....Angel never appeared or showed his/her face. Still waiting for my deposit to be credited back to me...After reading the reviews here I think I dodged a bullet with these clowns! read more

Napleton Auto Group(Mazda) Schaumburg is a horrific place to do any business with !! I had purchased a car, for starters, sticker covering , hiding the fact of the check engine light on. further exploring I had found that the odometer has been rolled back , approximately 100,000 miles.They were very reluctant to resolve these issues after it was discovered. I demanded my money back within 4 days, and was told flat out NO! they had replaced with another car. multiple issue with warranty repair! the car was in the service more times than i'd like to count. a lot of out of pocket expenses , with warranty not covered. shortly after a warranty service, we realized there was multiple lug nuts missing, and others hand loose. this star out horribly, and continued to get worse with each warranty service's. They are horrible with communication with customers. Warranty claims take forever. It was a very terrible experience that we have ever had to deal with. This dealer doesn't care about the customers at all, in my opinion !! I would do my home work , and stay away from this dealership. They have loss lawsuits adding up to the millions. I will never spend another hard earned dollar with this company again. It was the worst , horrific ,unimaginable situation we ever had to deal with.they claim "premium automotive experience with a focus on customer satisfaction " with is the farthest from the truth that we had to ever deal with. It was tragic from the star when we realized the check engine light cover up , then leading into the , rolled back odometer!!should have called the Attorney Generals office to make a Complaint. it was all down hill, one thing after another and never was a great experience, trying t resolve any of the issues. I have a 2023 Mazda Cx-5. I took my car in for oil change and tire rotation. I had a cover engine leak so I left my car in Schaumburg Mazda dealership. I picked up my car 2 days ltr and I drove hm and the check engine light went on 3 days ltr. I called and spoke to Sean and repair manager. Manager was very unprofessional he hung up the phone at me and didn't let me talk. Very rude and horrible experience. I won't buy another Mazda ever again or service at this location. read more

if i could rate them a negative number that still would not express the services they provided for me twice. forgery, fraud and misrepresentation of vehicles! they took advantage of me and put amy family at risk along with screwing my credit score. there is quite a bit more to my story but i would like to give you some advice that should be done with any purchase and finance contract with a dealership! if you have ever financed a car with any dealership and especially a dealership well known for fraudulent activity like napleton which you can see the info on their 10 million dollar settlement for all the things im advising you to look in to. ***i highly suggest you retrieve all your copies of paperwork you were given and demand the dealership provide you with the deal jacket, all credit applications and check your dates and make sure you authorized signatures. take your time and inspect every part of the paperwork closely. if they used an e- signature request the certificate of completion which must contain your authorization along with a time stamp and date stamp followed with the ip address. you must be able to have accessl of every signature they applied *** call the bank immediatly!!! **request their copy of your contract and as i'm certain it will have some weird font signature. demand the bank produces the e signature authorization ! im gonna go out on a limb and say tehy probably won't have it. this makes a contract invalid. *** i highly advise you to check your odometer disclosure to make sure they did not check the box stating the mileage exceeds mechanical limits! ***** do not quit! dig and dig and do your research please*** most important. do not let them intimmidate you! secure everything and only communicate via email or certified letter**** the tactics that have been going on for years is sad. the sick part is they screw people who do honest hard work to provide ***please listen to this warning***. consult an attorney, file a police report, report anything you find. check your window sticker and warranties. *********secure all documents bank conrtact, the dealerships contract which they must provide when demanded. if you got a bill of sale. check every fee or extra fees between all of them! good luck to you! lets not let this illegal activity continue read more

Had absolutely no issues buying a new 2024 CX-90 PHEV. Told them what we wanted,l to buy, told them what we expected for trade-in value on the car we sold them, and told them we needed everything to be ready to go so that we could get in and out as quickly as possible because we have a newborn and couldn't spend hours doing paperwork. Don't buy any parts at Napleton Mazda Dealership in Schaumburg !!!!!! I bought breaks pad set for my car at this location. They charged me $320. When I came home I check prices online and the parts were $100 cheaper. I came back next day and wanted return the parts, I have been told that I will be charged 20% restocking fee. It wasn't special order so why they charge extra $$$$$$ for return???? They didn't inform clients that they can't return the product . Buyers should be cautious and carefully review the pricing and ask questions before they decide to buy parts there. I'm really dissapopinted and DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING CAR PARTS THERE. read more

I have never left a negative review before, but this time the situation went far beyond normal service. They were supposed to clean the headliner and seats in my car, but instead all my personal belongings were thrown out: Chicago parking sticker, I-Pass, insurance tag -- total losses of $85 ($60 personal items and case, and $25 to renew all stickers). What bothers me most is the wasted time and the complete lack of respect and indifference to the customer. I should go to the office of the city clerk, wait 35 minutes in line, get a certificate that the sticker was lost or stolen, then go to the police station with it where they gave me some certificate/document, and return back to the city clerk again with the certificate/document and pay renewal fees -- and now I need to buy all the stuff again. I tried several times to get an explanation and compensation, but instead of a clear answer I only received "we will figure it out" and "we are waiting for the manager." Two weeks have passed since my request -- not a single concrete proposal on how to resolve the issue. I had to spend additional hours restoring everything in city offices and the police, even though it was very simple to avoid this just do not touch personal belongings in the car. This level of irresponsibility and disregard for customers is unacceptable. I strongly do not recommend this dealership if you value your time, nerves, and personal belongings. read more

He is so knowledgeable about Mazda and he was not pushy at all. He was actually very patient and took the time to listen to what we wanted. In the end my best friend did purchase the car at Napelton for 2 reasons. Firstly, they were able to meet the price we were willing to pay and secondly it was Rick. We went to a few other dealerships after our initial visit to Napelton. And honestly we loved the way we were treated at Napelton. No pressure. No nagging. No chasing us out the door. Despicable worms at this dealership. Do not engage. I made the transaction easy for them only to be given the bare minimum effort. They tried to sell my credit data and can't provide proper CPO paperwork. Purchased a used 2021 Mazda 6 that had been on the lot for 2+ months. They tell me it's Certified Pre-owned, talk about the added warranty. They show me the Carfax -- it checks out. I bought a CPO Miata in Sept 2023 and I know what to expect with a Mazda CPO'd vehicle -- that Miata is in fantastic like-new condition. I wire the money without looking too close at the car (snowed the previous day). Only to find dents which would not pass the 160-point checklist (body is free of dents). However, while I received this checklist with my Miata, I did not on the Mazda 6 at close of sale. I have asked my salesman, service, Mazda North America, and Napleton Corporate for this documentation. As of writing (03/06/2024) they have been unable to provide it. While the Mazda 6 VIN shows in the Mazda database as Certified Pre-Owned w/ warranty, I'm surprised the quality of the car would pass. Until I'm given the CPO documentation and Inspection details (which I signed off on as part of sale closure on the Miata), I can only assume Napleton is CPOing cars in bad faith. I've spent too long on this issue (2+ weeks) without callbacks to care to know so I'm posting here. Feel free to reply, Napleton, but this review is staying. I'm not going to any Napleton branch for any of my automotive needs / servicing in the future. P.S. Also, they tried selling my credit data and history by having me fill out a Credit Application on an all-paid wire transfer deal. They said it was for "tax purposes". It's not. The photo shows it's not an Illinois form. I said no I'm not signing and they didn't even address it. We just closed the deal w/ Finance with no issue. So that was a lie as well. Bought a used Mitsubishi Lancer in 8/24/24 as my daily. Drove it within 24 hours gas smells and brought it back 8/26/24 for them to check. They said they did not find it. After a week I brought it back to them because it was really bad it's making me dizzy. They found the leak from the fuel tank. Had them fix it. They stated they replaced the gas tank and fuel filler neck. Got the car back and when I fill up the tank it spills and burp before the gas pump clicked. That I can take although I know something is not right. A week after I got CEL P0420, went ahead and had the catalytic converter replaced, still has that code. Then yesterday I checked the valve cover and ther was oil leaking. I went ahead and changed the valve cover gasket. After one driving cycle code P0455 came on the obd 2. Large evap leak. Until I got tired checking what the problem is and decided to check the filler neck to see if a hose is kinked or not attached but to my surprise, the old filler neck is still there with cracked hose still attached to it. They did not replaced that at all. Now my daily that I paid cash is turning into an extra expenses now. There's always something coming up. I felt scammed by a reputable mazda dealership. I went ahead to call the dealership to talk to a manager but no one's answering when they forwarded me to his phone line. I did not want to buy a car that will give me problems such as this. Given it's an older car, its running but it dissappoints me that there's underlying issues that could have been fixed the first time before they post it on sale. I will be calling again tomorrow. I wasted a lot of time already and hopefully they will be kind enough to even entertain my complaint. read more

If you are looking for a good Mazda dealer than Napleton in Schaumburg is a place to go. I know every dealer has its good and bad reviews, people get nervous, want a good deal, its an investment. I have just bought my new 2023 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition at this dealership, this is actually my second time buying from them (my previous purchase was in 2016) and I can only say good things about it. It is widely known that markup prices are not added anymore and their prices are transparent and clear, you will not be charged over MSRP. My sales person was Andrej Milovic and he treated me very well as a customer should be. We gareed to the price, wrote the numbers, got it signed by the manager. Next day I cam with deposit and my own loan for the amount given to me earlier. Jose Bejarano is another great guy at the accounting, no gimmicks, got me off in less than an hour. Got the car prepared and new plates installed. The general manager Jonathan Proano is always available if you have any extra questions. This place is a scam. I bought a used sonata from this place and realized now that they sold me a lemon. Thankfully I also got a Warranty and maintenance plan but this car had so much replaced including an engine, a turbo, back up camera, sway bars, had a lot of previous damage that they didn't tell us about and so on which we went through within 3 years. Each and every issue we had to fight with them to fix, including having to threaten lawyers involved, even though each thing was in my warranty. My turbo went out in the first week of having the car and they held my car at their service department for 8 months 4 of which they didn't even pull codes to find out what was wrong, enough time to keep from stating lemon law. Their service department were butt kissing only and constantly pretending to be ingnorant about issues that me and my father told them. They also didn't tell me that my brakes were about to go out, even though I brought it in multiple times for other things, until my maintenance was passed due. This was to the point that my father, who worked on cars said that driving on my brakes were dangerous. If I had half the mind, I would take them to court for negligence and false advertising. read more

Very Disappointing visit. Not a fan of this dealership and would recommend you steer clear of this dealership and its questionable practices. Plenty of dealers in the area and plenty of other Mazda dealers who are eager for your business without resorting to shady or questionable tactics. Late afternoon and it's drizzling a bit. Yeah, it's not the best day to check out new or used cars but it is what it is. We stop in to check out a Mazda3 listed on the Napleton Mazda's website. Salesman comes out in the rain and doesn't seem very friendly or eager to help us. Maybe it was the combination of Covid and the fact that he had to come out in the rain I show him the car we'd like to see directly from the Napleton website. We're immediately told it was "just sold this past weekend". Salesman says he might have a few more potential candidates and takes us to the adjacent lot to see what might be out there Low and behold we bump into THE car he said was "sold this past weekend". Salesman says "I thought so and so sold this over the weekend". Okay, could be honest mistake....but that was a bit awkward. So, we head back inside so he can check with the sales manager or whomever to verify its status. Comes out after a minute and says "apparently the deal fell through". Okay, give him the benefit of the doubt. Salesman gets the key-fob, takes us back down to adjacent lot in the rain and we proceed to take a test drive. As we pull onto Golf rd. the salesman slyly states "Oh I forgot to mention there is a $1495 charge above the stated sale price for this car as it's a Certified Pre-Owned Mazda that comes with a longer warranty" At that point, I wanted to turn around and just head back to the dealership. I knew right there that this Mazda dealership would never get any of my hard-earned money. My wife looked at me and said forget about it. She didn't even bother test driving the car after I did as she was disgusted by the entire situation. I pulled back in the parking lot, said thanks for your time and walked away. I feel it is very dishonest and unethical to add such a charge for CPO on TOP of the sticker price. I believe such a practice is also technically illegal. CPO cars are considered, under law, to have a manufacturer's warranty and you're not supposed to upcharge for it. As far as I know, no manufacturers program allows for up selling a CPO warranty. Maybe this dealership needs to clean house from the top down. You would think with all of the various dealerships in the area, that these guys would try harder to earn your business and stop with the deceptive practices. I've read a few other similar accounts listed here and they seem to match what we went through. I also see quite a few high ratings and have to question the validity of some of them. Perhaps, we visited on an off afternoon but I seriously doubt that. You not only lost my wife's sale today but you also lost mine too. I seriously had my eye on vehicle located at your Napleton Subaru dealership but not after this experience. We ended up driving 40 min to another dealership (well worth it) who gladly filled the void left by the Napleton Automotive conglomerate. Will never return to this dealership for sales or service. Let me start by saying I have been a loyal Mazda driver for 15+ years and a loyal service customer since we moved to the area 12 years ago. We even bought our newest Mazda from Napelton Mazda almost 4 years ago. I would have given it 5 stars back then. But, two times in the past year and a half, my car has been returned to me after an oil change with damage. The first time, they were great. Fixed all the gouges in the drivers side of my car and have me a rental car while they had my vehicle. Today, I went in for another oil change and got my car back with a chunk of paint missing from my drivers side door. I was told their was no way that it could have happened in their car wash but they would touch it up as a "goodwill" gesture (which doesn't really look that great). A goodwill gesture would have been repairing the damage that was done to my car while it was in your possession. I was made to feel like I was lying about the damage. Looks like we will need to look for a new location for our service. read more

These guys who work at the Mazda dealership in Schaumburg are SLIME BALLS. Let's start by bait and switch pricing on their website. I was quoted one price on their website, and was told upon visiting the dealership that there was an additional charge of $1000 because it was certified. Next, I told them I would purchase the car IF they removed the stains on the beige interior to my satisfaction. Next, I planned to trade my car in, but I did not have the title with me. So I asked them THREE times to give me my car back so I could go home and get my title and empty my trunk. They would not give me my car keys back and instead insisted on giving me a loaner. (This is called FREEZING THE SALE by car salesmen.) When I returned to inspect the upholstery for the removal of the stains, I found them to be still visible, and called off the purchase. They said, "fine, but we have performed already $525 worth of service to your car." So to get my car back, I had to pay $525. I got my keys and opened by trunk, and found more than $500 of my personal possessions were missing. The trunk was empty. They have claimed no responsibility. I have turned over the complaint to the Attorney General of Illinois' FRAUD DEPARTMENT. read more

Oil was over filled, coolant was low, brake fluid low, front and rear brakes low, large leak from axle seal, oil pressure switch leaking and transmission pan gasket seal. They will sell you trash! After trying to sell me a 2012 Mazda 5 with a BROKEN ENGINE MOUNT, they wouldn't negotiate with me on a very reasonable price. They first said the engine Mount was fixed, but after doing more research, I found out it wasn't and they tried to say it was. Paperwork clearly said NEEDS repair. Along with other issues, they basically let me walk away from the sale without the car. The $200 that was on the table was their deal breaker. They lost a sale because of a $200 different because they are greedy. They have had the car in stock for a month and I was like the 3rd to look at it. Horrible greedy dealership.... Who also tried selling me more crap not needed..... oil change package and extended warranty package. Also trying to show me a 200 mile radius of other similar cars. Yes. I have done my research for months but the fact that it had a BROKEN ENGINE MOUNT and needed new tires was my deal breaker. $200 more off the price and it would have still made them $$$$$. I want to share the experience my son had at Steve Napleton Mazda dealership in Schaumburg Illinois recently. Please help spread the word...and DO NOT go there because you will be taking a chance of getting screwed by them. I did send a letter to the Better Business Bureau regarding this experience. My son went in to buy a used car. this dealership had a car that had everything he was looking for. before he bought the car he asked them to do a diagnostic test to make sure there were no major issues and do an oil change. they assured him that they did so he purchased the car. after 24 hours the check engine light went on so it was taken to a mechanic. they said there was no way the car passed inspection or had an oil change. the variable valve timing is displaced 30 degrees and the oil had metal shavings, is black as black and smells like gasoline! (Indicating poor engine health) the dealership said they will only give him $1,500 less than he purchased the car for and only if he buys a more expensive car! this is a horrible dealership! (He actually bought this same car here and has been here before, too!)Today was my first time here, but I came away very pleased and impressed with our experience here this past New Year's Eve morning! They took us with no appointment and got the oil changed, plus also fixed whatever recent recall problems there were with this model, in about 1 1/2 hours! We also liked their nice clean waiting area with its nice big Sony TV showing this cool Netflix mystery series (Valhalla Murders)! I went to 2 other dealerships the same day after I seen Kate, and both places were just trying to sell me anything, and didn't look out in my best interest. Best of all, Kate got the dealship to make the car qualify for certified pre-owned, 7 years 100k! I also did research on the pricing, and her offer was the Very lowest,with the most incentives. I cannot even begin to express my level of disappointment with my entire experience with this dealership. From buying the car to getting them to service it, mind you after purchasing their warranty. We should have known better from the moment we purchased the car. They didn't even take the time to wash and vacuum it properly before handing it over to us, I had to call and basically beg for a second key fab for over a month before they finally sent it, and worse of all, two days after purchasing it, the engine started smoking on the highway. We pulled over and it was completely overheated. All to find out, they didn't even put coolant in the engine. Aren't there some pretty basic checks prior to selling a car?? Fast forward to this past fall, the transmission seemed to be having issues. When I called to see where to service my car, with the warranty we pay for, they said we can ONLY have the car serviced at their dealership. We live 60 miles away! They never mentioned this stipulation, when selling us the warranty of course or we would have never purchased it! Again terrible salesman. Here is the part that seals the deal, after getting our car to service it, it took them over two weeks before even looking at it. And three MORE weeks to so call "service" it. It took over a month to get it back, and I was told it was just some case that needed to be replaced and the transmission was fine. After driving it for only one day, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was fixed. I could not believe after over a month in the worlds smallest rental car, the problem hadn't even been resolved. I then had them service the car again, as I knew there was very clearly something wrong with the transmission, whether they said so or not. It was completely unsafe to drive, and mind you I have toddler in the car with me all the time. This time around, I expressed how bad of an experience I had prior, and I would really appreciate being made a priority as clearly I was not last time. I called after one week to see if it had been looked at. No one would return my call. It was again, two whole weeks before even being able to speak with someone. They then said it was very hard to diagnose, and they need more time. Another ENTIRE week goes by, and I don't hear from them. I called to get an update, and the service guy I had been working with, Mark still states they haven't diagnosed it, and on top of it is extraordinarily rude to me! One of the many things he said was, "I'm sorry, are you being inconvenienced? You do have a rental." He also told me to take it to a different dealership to be serviced, maybe they have more time to look at my car. First of all, I can't take it anywhere else, due to your warranty rules, secondly, you have had it for THREE WEEKS! Are you kidding?? He will never return your calls when he says he will and you basically have to stalk them to even get a conversation with anyone. In the end it was the transmission and it needed to be replaced. I was told it would be a week and a half. End of week two, they said they hadn't even had a chance to start it yet and promised it would be ready Tuesday. Tuesday came and again, they hadn't started it but they would be that day and I would have it Friday. I called Friday, and believe it or not, it still needed a few more hours of work. But I was told that I would hear back from them that night to get an eta of when it would be ready Monday. No phone call, shocker. I finally received it today. A full month and a half later. Long story short, in total this dealership had my car for two and a half months to fix an issue that we paid a warranty for. And god only knows how long it would have taken, had I not been on top of it. I'm so utterly disgusted by them. I cannot stress enough, NEVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. I was halfway through my lease with another dealership and wanted to transfer lease ownership, as well as get into a new lease at Mazda. The team there was absolutely fabulous. From my salesperson, Benji, taking me on test drives and finding answers to my questions on the features of my Mazda, to GSM, Jonathan, giving me honest and knowledgeable answers on my financial options, the entire experience was refreshing. I never felt sold or unheard, and was given ample time to make my decisions...and I did go with the CX 30. They walked me through every part of the lease transfer, new lease contract/paperwork and all options, and did it in such a calm, friendly way. I know going to dealerships can be daunting, but the entire team was welcoming. Christian and Eric assisted with my pick up date paperwork/processing, and Tom, the finance director, was amazing during the final paperwork process for title transfer and so on. I started coming here because I was disappointed with my dealer at Mazda autobarn in Chicago. This is close to my job so it is convenient. Appointment process was smooth. They were able to get me in first thing in the morning for an oil change/ rotation. I was greeted with bottled water and snacks. There is pretty good wifi in the lobby. One of the guys drove me to work which was very helpful for me. I received a text when my car was ready. Service was good! I hope they keep it up the good work. read more

Extremely disappointed with the unethical sales practices at this dealer. I put down a $1,000 deposit on a new car to hold it for five days, and they sold it to someone else anyway. My car needed repairs after I crashed it into a curb, damaging the driver's side mainly on the front end. It was drivable, but the wheel wouldn't turn from the damage to the body. I took my Mazda here to get repaired. The body shop is for several types of cars, including Mazda. It took them one month and one week to fix it. And my car sat at the shop untouched for at least a week and a half. The work seems to be good, though their paint job has a little mark on the door that I've decided to live with. No one ever called to give me updates. I had to call six or seven times to find out what was going on and why it took so long to fix my car. I understand some parts got delayed, but one day they tell me my car will be ready in two days, I call back on that day and they change the date when my car will be ready. This happened five times. They kept pushing out the date while I had to keep asking for more time with my rental car. Only Brandon at the body shop seemed apologetic and helpful with this situation, so I appreciated his help and that he listened to my concerns and apologized. It should not have taken so long to get my car fixed. And communication would have been helpful; sometimes their phones didn't even work so you couldn't even reach anyone. I don't think I'll ever bring my car back there if I have any other issues. It was such a disappointing experience. read more

Very disappointed! I took my car in to Napleton's Schaumburg Mazda on 9/21/2019 for an oil change and also for the check of a rattling sound coming from the back of my car. I asked the service advisor, Ken, if the technician could check to see if the shocks were possibly bad. After the oil change was completed, I was told that the rattling sound was absolutely NOT the shocks. The service advisor, Ken, told me that I would need to bring my car in on another day so a technician could further investigate. I scheduled an appointment 7 days later, 9/28/2019. Low and behold....a different service advisor working that day told me that, "Yes, the problem is the shocks". In my opinion, I felt that I was misguided/lied to so that another service charge would be incurred before "diagnosing" the problem. Napleton's Schaumburg Mazda has lost another customer. Drove up to buy a CX-5. Spent 1.5 hours test drive, selection, etc. When we go to do the deal it comes up 15 minutes in to process that the dealer will charge a fee to make the purchase above sticker. This should be disclosed up front! I wouldn't have wasted my time. Ended up purchasing from a great dealer - Pugi Mazda in Downers Grove. They are fair and no fees! Stay away from these shady people! read more
