Garlic butter extra thin cheese pizza - soooo good!
    Sue P.

Visited again tonite and it was 1/2 price pasta night. Son had chicken alfredo - good serving size and lots of chicken. Also garlic bread for $7. I had a small pizza with the garlic butter sauce - sooo good! Cute place - friendly staff - reasonable prices!

Took the cheese and toppings off to take pictures of the soggy crust.

Decided to try it again after friends said the pizza was better. Would give it a zero if I could. If you want a pizza with a soggy wet crust that looks like they dipped it in a bucket of water, then Napoli is your place. Enjoy!

Doesn't need to be the best pizza to be good. Great staff, strong drinks.

Ordered an extra thin crust you would think it would be crunchy. Not. Will not be going back. Live 2 miles away.

My husband and I both had the ayce combo and added a cup of clam chowder soup. DELICIOUS! Serving size is large, and we're happily stuffed without additional servings. Definitely a no frills kind of place...kinda makes you feel like you're on a vacation! ALL the servers, bartenders and the host were super friendly and hard working, even when they were packed and pressured. Forgot to mention we drove 1 hour to get there, and an hour home in the pouring rain, but it was worth it. Loved Cullom Knoll, we will be back!

The reason for this is our last two visits, Judging my mother for what she ordered and gossiping with drunks at the bar loudly enough that we can hear is absurdly rude. Sorry its a slow night but maybe don't judge a vegetarian for not loving bacon and mocking them to other customers. Its just a bad showing. We come here often, so to be treated like that is heartbreaking. Now, my mom can't be certain they haven't been gossiping about her pretty simple order, a wrap with no meat, the entire time. Also just turn off the depressing news on the tv's its obnoxious when we are sitting down and just trying to have a good time. Put on a fun tv show, the game, something else.

Paisano's on Broadway occupies a unique--and important--place in Richmond's dining landscape…read more Credit where it's due: Phil and Karen Gilardi were instrumental in elevating the town beyond pure fast-food dependence. They recognized early that Richmond sits on a corridor of movement--Chicago flowing north toward Lake Geneva, that Midwestern analogue to the Riviera--and made a legitimate attempt to create a stop where people could sit down, slow down, and share a meal. I still remember my first visit, back when Paisano's had maybe five tables. I was seated next to none other than Dan Rostenkowski, then Speaker of the House. That moment captured something about the place: it aspired to be part of a broader, more connected world than Richmond typically experiences. The concept has always been clear--family-style, approachable Italian, positioned as a step above casual dining. And to their credit, they've maintained consistency over the years. That said, the food itself lands squarely in the "acceptable" category. Not offensive, not memorable--reliably mediocre. It satisfies the requirement of a meal without ever quite justifying a detour. Yet here's the reality: within a five-mile radius, Paisano's remains the only place where you can reasonably take someone on a sit-down date without apology. That alone gives it staying power. Paisano's isn't trying to be extraordinary--and it doesn't quite get there. But it filled a vacuum when it arrived, and in many ways, it still does.
