NYC pizza lover in RI with a mission to try all the pies in Providence. I'm actually not all that picky with my pizzas. I love thin crust, thick crust, white pizzas, red pizzas, and even frozen pizzas. I was unfortunately disappointed with this pizza. It was very sauce heavy and even though we ate it 10 minutes after it was made, it was quite soggy and soupy. My initial reaction to the red sauce was "wow" but they used a TON of fresh garlic which over time became a bit overbearing. I've so far tried providence coal fired, nice slice, flatbread, twins. This place ties Twins for my least favorite. Maybe I went on an off day. I'll circle back around after I try all the others. read more

We were in area for a day got in to hotel late and ordered pizza a chicken tenders. Prompt delivery and a really solid brick oven pizza. Thin crust not oily with a great balance of cheese and sauce. Tenders were huge and came with three dipping sauces, bbq, Thai chili and sour cream and chive. read more

This restaurant has become my go to take out pizza restaurant in the area. The food is consistently well prepared and reasonably priced. Delivery has been on target for every order that I placed. The pricing is reasonable but again, the consistency of all the pizza is cooked is impressive especially for delivery food. read more

We loved Napolitano's! The staff was super welcoming and friendly right off the jump. We had a soup, the broccoli rabe appetizer, two slices of pizza, and the deep fried calzone. Everything was OUTSTANDING! The prices are also incredibly reasonable. I like that it feels like a quick serve restaurant but they use real plates, real silverware, and have some more upscale menu items mixed in with the pizza and calzones. So if I could give 2 different reviews I would. I had a regular NY pie a few months ago and would give that 3.5 stars. I had an urge for a thicker Deep dish Sicilian and gave theirs a try. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.. heavy, doughy and too thick for its toppings. If it had any redeeming qualities it is that by the pound it's pretty cheap .. that half sheet had to weigh 12-15 pounds .. some heavy stuff but not in a good way. This place is a bit uneven, and the Brooklyn style pizza wouldn't be competitive in Flatbush, but it's as close as one gets in Providence. At its best this pizza has a thin crispy/chewy crust, a good sauce and just enough cheese, with a little char on the crust. They are also very nice. read more

I've ordered here many, many times. Their buffalo wings are some the best around, and they used to have the best beer-battered onion rings. Twice now I've ordered them and instead gotten tiny, bland, undercooked and clearly not beer-battered rings, they still cost $9 however. One of the biggest insults I've ever felt from a restaurant. Got my money back, and will not be ordering again anytime soon. Wings are great but can get those at other places, don't need to be taken advantage of. read more

I actually wanted Conserta's but didn't realize they're closed on Monday's so found this place quickly on the hill. Pizza wasn't bad. Sweet potato fries left little to the imagination, I actually wanted onion rings an they were "out of batter" which was strike 2. Strike one was they had no ham for a Hawaiian-which I was okay with prosciutto. What really got me upset was I called at 6 an was told 15/20 mins no problem. Got there at 620, an didn't get my pie until 630. Don't waste my time an tell me less an make me wait double. Also, I almost didn't take the pizza because I wasn't pleased to see the crust slightly burnt. 30$ for the entire meal-wasn't worth the experience and most definitely will not go back. 》》 I'm going to assume the owner is the one who was making pizzas? He greeted me when I came in. This had been one of our favorite pizza places in years past. A friend told us it had changed owners and wasn't as good but we didn't want to believe him. Unfortunately he was correct. We went in tonight and ordered a whole cheese pizza to eat there. When the pizza came out it was obvious that it was a previously cooked pizza already cut that they reheated. The slices were far apart on the tray, the cheese was browned and not gooey and fresh at all and the dough was flat like reheated pizza and not soft and chewy. We were so disappointed. read more

Probably about as good as an electric-oven pizza can be. Just solid NY style pizza of the kind I found throughout all five boroughs in my many years in NYC (fair enough, "Staten Island Pizza" or "Bronx Pizza" doesn't have quite the same ring...) Not cheap but fair for the size (which is huge, like 20" for the large) and the quality. They also have a punchcard where you get the 10th (or something like that) pizza free. Reasonable prices for slices if you are stopping by. I wish I could give these people 5 stars because their pizzas are truly an "authentic" NY style slice... but unfortunately whenever I order from here I end up waiting 10-15 minutes longer than the quoted pick-up time. At this moment I am sitting in the store waiting for a pizza that should have been ready 10-20 minutes ago and I have been quoted 8 min then 4 min both times I've come in. It really just comes down to time management and order volume. This place is great. They were farther down Atwells before but never when in. Wish I had, because this is NYC pizza!!! They have the right mix of dough,sauce and cheese. Please don't change a thing! The chicken parmigiana hero was wonderful. We didn't like the garlic knots but we did like the cheesy garlic bread. Again the pizza is great and so close to NYC pizza. The best Chicken Parmesan around! Crispy chicken, lots of perfectly browned cheese, light tastey sauce. Ugh so good! It came with a salad or garlic bread. I went with the garlic bread and it was buttered longway slices of half an italian loaf, with crushed garlic slathered on top. Almost as good as the chicken parm was the fried dough. Was passing through town and dropped in. Great pizza--we had the Cyclone and devoured it. And, as others have mentioned, the garlic knots were full of garlicky goodness. But, the best part of the experience was watching the proprietor teaching two children (I think they were likely his) the basics of customer service and running a business. It was neat to see him take the time with them. Very cool! We will make a beeline here on our next trip to the area! read more

I love this place! The pizza is delicious and it's also the perfect thickness: not too thin, not too thick. It's what an original pizza should be. It has the right combination of herbs for a wonderful and satisfying taste without being overwhelming. The ambience is casual and low key, with a friendly staff. They show lots of creativity with a great variety of meat, veggies and combination pies. In addition they have pasta and salad dishes if you're not in the mood for pizza. The service was good (we were the only customers there), but the ambiance and food were a big disappointment--not worth the $50 we spent. We had an eggplant parm hero, spaghetti and meatballs, and baked ziti (the latter two meals included garlic bread). When eating at an Italian restaurant--especially one in Federal Hill--we expect the food to be at least as good as what we'd make at home (and we're not Italian) or get from the grocery store at a fraction of the cost.
