I ordered through doordash so I can have the food once I get there. What I didnt realize is that the vegetables has onions and most of the vegetables were onions. When I got to the restaurant, they were still making it, I asked if the food has onions and if possible not to put the onions in. The server completely refused! I ordered Nara Hibachi to go and unfortunately should have checked the bag before getting home. I ordered steak hibachi with egg fried rice and mushroom soup. They made you chose between sides which at most hibachi places you get soup and ginger salad. I got home and opened my bag to no egg fried rice. I got the soup and hibachi with veggies but no rice. The soup was good but very salty. The steak hibachi was ok. The streak was cooked well done and was a little chewy. It would have been nice to have more yum yum sauce. read more

After reading the response from the owner, I really don't think this place will last too long. I mean come on. As a business owner, you shouldn't get too defensive on a negative review. All I did was write my exact experience on the food. It doesn't matter if I ordered takeout or if I dined in. As people who follow me know, I don't base my reviews on customer service. My reviews are strictly rated on the quality and experience of the actual food. And the quality and experience of the food from this place from what I remember was horrific. Not only was the whole experience horrific, but the response from the owner was horrific too. Instead of getting so defensive, they should have used that time to train their chef to properly cook chicken. P.S. Just because people ordered from your place through an app, does not mean they are not allowed to rate your food. At the end of the day, food is food. Ordered takeout from here. Portions were huge for the chicken hibachi. Lots of chicken and vegetables and plenty of rice. The miso soup was delicious as well. Lots of great options on their menu. read more

This place had a weird smell to it, but decided to dine in regardless. The girl up front was a bit off. We walked in and asked questions since we are vegan and she kinda seemed as if she was annoyed by it or didn't understand what was being said. We ordered fish tofu, plain lo mein and a side of white rice. She mistakenly ordered rice with eggs and we couldn't eat it, but when I told her if we can please have white rice, she looked at me as if it was my fault. Anyways, the lady up front told the cook to change it to white rice only. I hope that she changes up her attitude because the food was delicious and I would go back. However, I treat people accordingly. Delicious food, rude girl. Everyone is entitled to feel what they feel, but never take it out on a customer. read more

Really quick and convenient, but also tasty. Tried the lunch special chicken hibachi which comes with soup or salad. I chose the clear onion soup, which was a nice size. It's a large portion of food for the price. The veggies were cooked really well (not soggy) and the chicken was seasoned well too. The inside was also very clean and well kept. So convenient if you want something quick to go pick up as well. I will definitely be back to try more from their menu! read more

Food is good. However, ordering from online costs more than ordering in person, depending on the page you order from. Ifnyou order from another site you get 10% off. Go figure. Which is crazy. When I questioned the price, I was told it was to pay for the webpage. They also have a punch card that says buy 10 get one free.... but they only punch once per visit, even if buying multiple meals. The place smells really weird when you walk in. But I didn't want to be rude and turn around and leave so I got some food. I'd heard it was good but when I got home and ate, some of the veggies had a weird taste and the tofu had a weird aftertaste. I could tell the edamame was frozen because some pieces were hot and the other were freezing cold. Also I was going to sit inside and eat til I got a whiff of the trash. Nara Hibachi is one of my most-frequent go-to's. I took me two years to discover the restaurant that's so close to my apartment, partially because it's not seen from the main streets. However, this makes it very convenient to get to without dealing with the Tampa traffic. I usually order the steak hibachi with noodles and tell myself I'll save some of it for later, then usually eat the massive portion in one sitting. I will say that a couple of times the food tasted different than before, but they have been overall consistent. Because of covid, they are not doing dine-in eating. This is unfortunate because the ambiance is comfortable and I feel that some of the items like the spring/egg rolls would be better fresher. But I appreciate the precautions that they take, especially with their no-contact pick-up system. Contrary to some other reviews I've read I've never had an experience with a rude employee. I have also never experienced any strange smells inside of the restaurant or felt that any of the food was "weird". I think these people judged this place way too early and went into eating it with this already negative thinking. I order here often and I have always been pleased. It's fast, friendly, clean and delish! I ordered a small sweet and sour chicken lunch special for $5.95 and up graded my rice to the shrimp fried rice. The up grade was only a $1.50 up charge. What??!! That's nothing!! For a lunch portion, it was large enough for 2 people. And the chicken was all white meat which I prefer. I also got an order of their garlic chicken wings. They were cooked perfectly and the sauce was awesome. I love, love this place. This is going to be my go to place for chinese from now on. read more

In close proximity to USF, it is probably the best hibachi. Surprisingly good! I've had just about every hibachi joint in Tampa, the best and the worst, and this one is pretty alright. I'd come back to try something new. What interested me was the Korean BBQ hibachi. A huge fan of Kalbi I was a little disappointed that it wasn't the actual short ribs but gave it a try anyways. It was pretty good! The hibachi comes with egg fried rice or noodles and a ginger salad. Egg fried rice was the worst portion of the meal, however, Yum Yum sauce comes with, so just make sure you drizzle it on and mix in some of the sauce from the beef and it'll be alright. The ginger salad was awesome and the noodles are better than the rice. It's a cute little joint and really clean. I think it's worth giving a try !! Overall a pleasant experience! read more

I'm so happy I was able to visit this restaurant :) I ordered take out for lunch and it was ready in fifteen minutes! The food tasted great and is well portioned for the price (I got the k-bbq steak & soup). I can't wait to return and try dining in with friends! The interior is super cute I genuinely think that the owners did an amazing job with the interior design. I read a few other reviews and was surprised at a couple of remarks, so I'll provide an update. When I visited there wasn't a strange smell o.o the restaurant smelled just fine. That smell that other customers mentioned could have drafted in from the loading area behind the Aldi's next door to the laundromat or garbage disposal nearby (there's lots of businesses in the plaza including a target so maybe they were doing something in the loading area behind the stores). I didn't experience any rude remarks when I called in and made the order nor when I came by to collect it, things were just fine. Maybe in other people's cases, there's a little cross-cultural miscommunication perhaps. My advice is for everyone to try being a little more patient, the restaurant is still relatively new to my knowledge and it may be their first business. I say give things and people time to change so give them another try! :) read more
