Miso Ramen with black garlic broth
    Leigh B.

Amazing authentic ramen. The restaurant is a hole in the wall in a mini strip mall. We went at 4 pm (off time) so it was completely empty. I have to say, we were worried it may not be as great as the other yelp reviews said when we realized we were the only ones there. However, our skepticism was immediately assuaged when the food came out- huge steaming bowls of ramen with all the fixings. So good! And they serve very generous portions. I felt bad that I could not finish it all because it was so good. My sons and their friend got the Tonkotsu Ramen and I got the Miso Ramen with black garlic broth (at our server's suggestion). Omg all of it was so good. Tip: you can order the black garlic oil on the side and add it to the regular broth as needed. I LOVE garlic though so I got the full garlic broth. Just what we needed to replenish us after a day of moving into a new apartment. Service was great. Pleasant, clean. Don't pass up this when you are in Tampa. We are definitely going again.

We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday--and it turned out to be a great choice! The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful. They offered to keep our homemade cake in the fridge, helped us with ordering, and even brought out a lighter for the birthday candle. Such thoughtful service made everything smoother and more enjoyable. There are still so many dishes on the menu I want to try--definitely a good excuse to come back! The space is roomy, quiet, and the AC was strong

Pros: Clean interior and chill atmosphere. It's much better than the rest of the plaza to be frank. Good quick service. Fair prices. Wide range of Asian dishes. Cons: Sodas are called "fountain" drinks , yet they are sold a la carte for $2.95 each. Some menu descriptions are missing or vague. (Hurricane rice has none and most peoples picture on Yelp seems to show only a thin layer of eggs). The entree section is really centered around ramen and noodle soup dishes. (But not pho oddly enough) There are a plethora of Boba drinks. There was only one stir fry dish which I ordered. The dish I ordered -Jap Chos had a good portion of food. The beef was soft. However I couldn't really get much of a distinct flavor. Many Asian noodle dishes have a distinctive taste -pho or pad Thai or drunken noodles ,but this one felt very blah. There was no sweet element like Teriyaki,no hot/spicy vibe like Drunken noodles. I would have also liked more vegetables;there were slivers of carrots/onions and mushrooms but the taste of noodle was dominant. There is a Korean dish called japchae which is similar to this. It also has translucent sweet potato noodles. I don't know if this is supposed to be their take on it or a wholly new dish. I am not as familiar with Korean dishes so I cannot say. 6/10 I struggled to finish this the next day for dinner sadly. If you're a super ramen fan, maybe you'll get more out of this place, but for me, once was enough.

Came in for hubs birthday dinner. We were late getting back to Tampa from St. Augustine and they were open so we came in. We were the only diners at 9pm but staff was so very nice. This place is always so clean, you can smell the cleanliness which I love. Greeted and served immediately. I got the Rain vegetable ramen with regular broth. It was so good! Highly recommend this place. Food is fresh and the quality is definitely there.

I'm not a big fan of Ramen places bur went here with some friends, the edamame egg rolls were.literally just exam wrapped in an egg roll wrapper, nothing too exciting. I would love to come back and get the hurricane fried rice my friend got, the picture doesn't do the size justice it was HUGE. I don't know if they make one with veggie rice but I hope they do because that's what I would try if I come back.

Another hidden gem in East Tampa, this asian inspired restaurant might just surprise you. Getiing into the restaurant parking lot is a little bit of a pain based on how its situated and the building on the outside doesn't stand out. When you walk in, it's modern and clean with a pickup and drink station on the right. There is a large dining area to the left with an assortment of tables with regular chairs as well as padded bench-style seating. Server came up quickly and took initial drink orders, I just got a fountain drink (grape Fanta) and the wife got a blueberry jasmine tea with boba. The tea was actually pretty good and something I might order thoughI don't normally drink tea. We ordered a fried wonton, which were crispy and hot on the outside and cooked well on the inside,. I like to try wontons at places that offer them as they tend to give me a feel for how the rest of the food will be. I wasn't disappointed. For my main course, I got the Hong Kong Chicken Noodle wonton soup. The broth had just the right amount of flavor for me, the noodles were not too soft, the wontons were flavorful, and the veggies gave a nice offset. Definitely need to come back and try some of the other dishes and maybe bring along some family and friends!

Tonkotsu Ramen - as good as it looks! Creamy broth and delicious!

Drive too fast and you'll miss it... but don't! Friendly staff Delicious food (everything honestly... tried everyone's just a bit and didn't know which one I liked more) Boba is very chewy, milk tea is creamy and perfectly sweetened. A lot of places are one or the other but it has it all. We will definitely be back and you should try it for yourself!

Brand new restaurant and you can tell, it smelled strongly of fresh paint. Luckily I was already ordering takeout as it was bad enough to give you a headache. The place was very clean though so hopefully the fresh paint smell just fades quickly. The ramen didn't taste as fresh and authentic as most places but it did come packed with a lot of ingredients. The edamame rolls sounded good and unique but were very bland. I didn't order a drink but I have a feeling their boba teas are probably what makes this place stand out.

First visit for lunch today, and definitely won't be the last! We ordered Curry Shrimp Ramen and Vegetable Ramen with Black Garlic broth, and both were delicious. They were huge servings in pretty bowls. The nice size shrimp were plentiful and cooked so perfectly, tender and juicy. The broth was delicious, not heavy on the curry, and included wontons and a healthy quantity of ramen noodles, also cooked perfectly. I only could finish half the bowl and took the rest home. The Black garlic stock of the Vegetable ramen was over the top flavorful, and the bowl was full of tofu puffs and veggies, and also Vegan without the egg. Also had a blueberry Jasmine tea with Boba, very tasty. My new Ramen place for sure since it's only 10 minutes away from me and can't think of a better tasting ramen at great prices.

We tried out Rain Bistro since our local ramen shop closed recently and we were so pleasantly surprised that it's jumped to some of our top 5 ramen. The restaurant itself is peaceful, we went on a Friday night and it was a very relaxed dinner the whole time we were there. The service was quick, attentive, and very friendly to say the least. On top of all of that... the food is delicious. The edamame came out warm and perfectly salted, the pork bao bun was phenomenal, and the ramen had everything you could want and then some. We didn't know the bao bun was going to come out fried, we thought the bun would be steamed... but wow, it was like eating a doughnut! Every part of this dinner blew me away. 1000% will be coming back, probably will order online as well.

Rain bistro was an amazing place! I went with my friend and we split the wanton ramen and the chicken hurricane fried rice. The portions were large and the food was delicious! Our server was super helpful and attentive. The music being played in the background was fantastic as well, very pleasing.

If in the Busch Gardens area this Asian bistro is well worth the try. The waitress was helpful with the menu and suggestions and was attentive. The crunchy popcorn chicken appetizer was tasty with basil added. The broth of my Tokotsu ramen was creamy and full of flavor. All ingredients from pork, noodles, dumplings, and eggs were on point. They have a selection of Asian sweet drinks and soft drinks. No alcohol drinks served. Would definitely come back if in the area again.

I trued the ramen for the first time it was good I never had that flavor pallet before but I enjoyed it. I ordered the Philly egg rolls they say that it's two but it's one tiny egg roll the size it maybe a middle finger long split in half. So not actually two. I had ramen I forgot the name but pretty good huge plate of it so I had extra for home The fried rice is okay my sister over hyped it but her baked chicken was freaking amazing and my boyfriend's fried chicken was okay. The mochi is great and the taro boba was okay The service wasn't good though. The waitress seemed very judgmental and it made my boyfriend feel like he was not comfortable to order what he really wanted because she was making faces and saying smart remarks I don't really remember her name but I just wish she conducted herself a little more customer focused instead of displaying whatever thing she thinks on her face or even saying it out loud it made things weird Amazing music !

My partner got the spicy tonkatsu and I had wanted to do the "make your own ramen" option. I really wanted wagyu but didn't like the toppings it came with. The two not so favorite dishes for me were the fried rice topped with fried chicken. While chicken was very tasty the rice was extremely basic. Could have used eggs or other ingredients to elevate this dish. Also the Volcano roll was extremely disappointing. Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss.
