I designed a custom dress with Nardos. I made 3 trips to Dallas for fittings, and paid around $18,000 on my dress for my daughter's wedding. The last trip I made, I came in just for the final fitting with my shoes- thought we were good to go. The dress was shipped to our fashion designer who accepted it and got it all to the venue. When i got dress, it had not been hemmed- 5 inches too long. It had to be stapled or i would not have been able to wear it! When asked about the incident, she said I had not come in with my shoes which was simply not true. I paid a total of $4000 extra for alterations on a custom dress! She refused to take any responsibility for it and blamed it on me. I think she is an amazing designer, but i really got screwed-proceed with caution! read more

BEYOND THE MOON EXPERIENCE!! DeLayna, Nardos and the entire team at Nardos Design were absolutely breathtakingly fabulous for my daughter's first fitting! DeLayna went out of her way to create the most incredible moment! It brought tears and I'm still incredulous. She ran out, THE DAY OF, to get Prosecco, a dozen white roses and a gift bag full of cherished delights so my daughter would have an amazing fitting. After having terrible experiences, being a plus-sized bride-to-be, we pulled our business from one bridal salon. We had appointments at so many others around the country, but they were so -meh-. Every bride-to-be deserves a fabulous experience, you know? We were concerned and quite nervous after falling in love with Nardos Design online... until this fitting happened. What a moment! The experience was totally a dream! My daughter felt like a princess! The dress (muslin) was so incredible, we all cried (including her maid of honor who we were on FaceTime with)! I was so excited that I overshared a glimpse of the moment on my IG! Aaaaand ended up selecting the most incredible mother of the bride dress for myself! Thank you, DeLayna, Nardos, the entire ND team, as well as Veronica at CosBar (for all the items in that magnificent gift bag, darling!) and Junior Villanueva at The Garden Gate (for that elegant and delightful perfect dozen of white roses, my love). Went with my daughter last Spring. We had a high budget range for the perfect dress, but felt uncomfortable after reading reviews. We then realized they were rebuilding their brand after a stressful legal battle (we know little about, but can see how those situations can lead to negative reviews, real or tended). We have not gone back to revisit yet because the price was over 14, 000 before add ons/changes and you can't really know if it will be right in the end. The staff was Lovely, however, and If you have NO budget, by all means, spend time there. read more

My daughter made an appointment for a wedding dress and a few days latter she received a call to confirm her appointment and let her know with her $5000 budget nardos was not for her. This is completely unacceptable, and just to let you know money was not going to be an issue if she found the dress of her dreams. Rude!!!! read more

I wish I could give this a zero. The service was terrible. We were promised a good deal, quality service, and quality dresses. Everything fell well below standards for how much business we gave Nardos. Nardos made 7 dresses for my wedding. We all went in December to have custom dresses made by May. Designs were sketched, fabrics picked, and deadlines made. None of these promises were met. Just a preview of one of the things that happened... two weeks before my wedding, I still had not seen my full rehersal dinner dress. In fact, I never even tried the finished gown on infront of Nardos. To make matters worse, I put the dress on the night of my rehearsal dinner when it was "done" and a button was missing. The dress was not finished. She also does not go by what you ask of her and your style. Great concept. Not worth the time and money for a terrible product. She should be ashamed. read more

I am writing this purely to inform Dallas brides of my experience, do with it what you will. I had a much anticipated appointment at Nardos along with several other bridal boutiques in the last few weeks. I am a very particular/opinionated person and I was excited at the thought of doing a custom gown that I could help design. My style is similar to Nardos- but not totally the same and I thought we would work together to combine her amazing textiles, design and construction with my unique style. Throughout the appointment I felt misunderstood and steamrolled. I thought it was the crowd of people I brought with me who were getting in the way of communication but after everyone left it was even more frustrating. I was unable to speak with Nardos herself and was left playing telephone through an assistant. I felt ignored by the assistant and then after 30+ minutes of back and forth and clarification on a very simple design I still received a sloppy and incorrect sketch from Nardos. When they asked what I was thinking for the veil and I expressed a very slightly non traditional opinion they said "no, that's not how it goes"! They clearly have a priority to protect their brand and aesthetic which they have the right to do but please know if your vibe doesnt fit theirs you will not be getting the dress of your dreams. Luckily I realized this early on and am working with a different Dallas business to craft my wedding dress stress free. I would recommend them if you like their dresses off the rack. As far as truly custom work goes, proceed with caution. read more

Please proceed with caution. I am a little surprised she is still in business in Dallas. Nardos quit on ALL her clients not long ago and I was unfortunate enough to be one of those clients that she refused to fulfill her contract. It was the month of my bridal portraits and I called to schedule a fitting and the desk told me Nardos just quit. I was left with a wedding dress that was about 3/4 of the way complete. Her business partner was left to clean up the mess at the time. Luckily she was absolutely fantastic and single handedly, without Nardos, saved my wedding. I have yet to ever get any comment or apology from Nardos herself. If this happened once and it could happen again. Please think twice. read more

Nardos is amazing! When I decided 24 hours before my wedding rehearsal to wear my mothers dress, she came to the rescue! She not only made time for me but had the dress ready less than 24 hours later! It was the perfect way to honor my mom and I will be forever grateful!! read more

I truly would not wish an experience with Nardos on my worst enemy. She's a marketing genius but that's where my positive feedback begins and ends. It's all smoke and mirrors. She's unethical, unprofessional, and the most overrated business in Dallas. I wish her nothing but the best, because that means she will have turned her business around and started treating clients in a manner in which they deserve. She made my wedding dress process a stressful nightmare(!). It wasn't ready on time, the fit was a disaster, and I had to take it to another tailor 48 hours before walking down the aisle. She cast a dark shadow over what should have been a happy process. Every time I tell people what happened, they just nod knowingly. I'm one of dozens and personally know at least 12 women who have been screwed over. I wish I would have known that at the outset. So take my word: avoid at all costs...unless you want a custom gown served with a side of chaos, exorbitant/unexpected fees, anxiety, and uneven hems. Even if your end product is decent, it...is...not...worth...it! I lost sleep throughout the process knowing that I had financially committed to this mess. I have a pit in my stomach when I look at my wedding pictures because I remember the anxiety and stress that went into the dress. -- Perhaps her inconsistent reviews can be attributed to the fact that she has taken on too much work and is unable to give the right care and attention to all of her projects. Well, sorry. That's no reason to screw people over. If you work with her after reading this, you've assumed the risk. Enjoy the ride and good luck. You'll need it. read more
