AVOID THE SERVICE CENTER AT ALL COSTS Drove in a 2015 Honda Fit 123k miles obviously not perfect condition, Upon inspection/diagnosis by the service center the vehicle had a broken flywheel/flex-plate which was true They told me I needed a new transmission for 8000$ However the problem wasn't with the diagnosis the problem was their inspection/diagnosis pricing The agreed amount over the phone with them was an additional 250$ for continued inspection after they could not find the problem right away Just the inspection/diagnosis alone came out 950$ in total In the end we paid over 1000$ for just inspection/diagnosis alone which they only spent max 6 hours on the vehicle as stated in the inspection paperwork Thats 150$ an hour !! For inspection!!! Drove a vehicle in and couldn't get it out in the same condition The paperwork was also very sloppy there is only one big charge so you wouldn't be able to see the pricing details of what was done to the vehicle As experienced they may be they will take your wallet for a spin for sure read more

Nardy Honda is not being ran by the same management. I will no longer buy another honda from them and most definitely will not use their greedy deceptive service dept. They misrepresented the price of a service and would not honor the price the service writer admitted to management. Their prices are extremely high for very easy services that require little time to complete. The warranty work completed was not explained properly as to inspection of my vehicles gas tank strap and the subframe work that they added/ completed. The actual work they completed was not completed properly as the recall requires. They should have stabilized the rust issue and after installing a sub frame to the rear of the vehicle apply a protective undercoating to the area and new sub frame. They hit just the visible areas that a regular non mechanical customer would be able to see. The added the new frame with thread rivets too. Not feeling to safe with this procedure and probably just a bandaid for this recall. Not only did they rip off me with the service, they ripped off honda Corp for the warranty. Management at nardy never responded after complaining verbally and to written correspondence. Nardy needs to improve their customer service and their staff/ managment need to be honest and have integrity. I made a formal complaint with honda Corp but not much recourse there yet in regard to the service however they seem interested in the warranty work. I'm not really please with how honda is handling this complaint as of now. Will keep you posted if they come around to doing the right thing. FYI I purchased 4 cars there since 99. New management isn't good. Used to enjoy going there and originally trusted this company. The service writers, managers and mechanics I knew are no longer there. Not honest and no integrity. Not satisfied with this dealer, everytime i bring in my car for a recall, or regular service. They always seem to make it not satisfied for me.. Had to take my truck back 3 times after they did a recall on it and they still never fixed the problem. Got a loaner car from them one time and they gave me a car that had a LIVE bug in it and when i brought it to their attention they said it's not their job to make sure the car is clean before giving it out to the customer, it's the valet boys job. read more

Before Thanksgiving 2010, I stopped in and spoke to a salesman about the car. He gives us the final figures and then he follows up about two weeks later. I told him after all the holidays we'll be looking for an SUV. I took my family away on vacation for Christmas and then you turn around its New Years, time flies! So now we have all holidays and everything out of the way, Its now January and so we start our SUV search again. We went to a Honda dealer in Huntington and they gave us better figures. I go back to Nardy and met with a different salesperson. I tell them what happened over the past 6 week and guess what? They gave us a SMOKIN' deal! No high pressure, no funky sales folks, just nice people giving us a great sales price. I have had two cars from here and I have been rubbed the wrong way by sales dept. Each time I went in looking for prices I felt as if they were taking advantage of me and trying to upsell too much. The second you walk in the showroom all of the sales people pounce on you. One of the sales guys even specifically asked me to leave him a good review on the new owner survey. Two salesman also talked about hitting monthly numbers in front of me and about who will beat who in the office which I thought was unprofessional. I never feel comfortable in here and always feel as if I'm bothering someone by asking questions etc. The service dept at Nardy is good and the people who work there are helpful. I had a terrible experience at Nardy Honda and will never take my vehicle back again. I was told that the total cost of repairs would be 10,000 but that they would give me a discount to 7500. I asked for the estimate to me emailed to be but never received it. When I had my car towed to a different autobody center, I was finally given an estimate that said 519.00 My car needed new coolant and a proper oil change for a cost of 275. The car has been running perfectly since. The new mechanic was surprised that I had been having regular oil changes at Nardy Honda because there was so much "gunk' at the bottom. Felt very let down after visiting here! I live in St James and wanted to do business with them. I submitted my information online regarding the lease of 2 vehicles a 2019 Passport and a 2019 pilot. No one called, so I decided to drive over and speak with a salesman. Upon arriving I was walking around for a good 20 minutes without recognition. I went in to the managers office and asked if anyone can assist. The manager said no one is available and he proceeds to help. I advised him that I was interested in leasing two vehicles and if they fit within my budget around $950 per month I will do the deal today. We went this morning with all intentions of buying a new car. Well well well... the sticker price was 39,000.00. They up charged the car 11,000.00. He comes out with a payment of 798.00 a month. That was for a lease. We wanted to buy it. No lease. 10,000 miles a year. The car came out to be over 50,000.00 dollars. the sales manager acted like he was doing us a favor. This dealer needs to be out of business. Taking advantage of the pandemic. I can see some what of an up charge because of the chip shortage. But not 11,000.00 dollars. So we laughed in his face and left. Go to apple Honda but baron is even better than apple. keep what you have until this crap is fixed. Beware of Nardy. The sales manager is a heartless jerk. My experience is that this is your typical lying car dealership..... 1) We agreed on a price for a lease only to be told that when we came that it was $30 higher a month.... when we said we would cancel the deal and go to Apple Honda the $30 magically disappeared... when pressed to find out what occurred, sales blamed it on finance and finance blamed it on sales. Apparently it was a quick, last minute cash grab. 2) The real fun was when I was still hesitant about closing the deal, the salesman Frank, said that THEY would pick up the first payment. There was a payment rolled into the downpayment on 11/24 and then the first would be due on 12/24..... I was told I would not have a payment to be made until January 24.... I even said to him that not having a car payment on Christmas Eve would be a good thing. Of course, when I received the first piece of mail from Honda Finance it showed a payment due on December 24th. I call Rachelle in finance, who wisely bails and kicks me over to Frank. Frank then starts the car payment version of "Who's on First". The conversation finally collapsed when I repeatedly asked why they weren't picking up they first payment with Honda as they promised. Frank then bails and has a manager call me who is even better at the car payment version of "Who's on First"..... His ability to spin a fact on its head makes me think he should leave Nardy as he has a bright future in Washington DC. The upshot is simple, either thru incompetence or straight up lying, they promised to do something and aren't doing it. It's places like this that give car dealerships a bad name.... There was no "misunderstanding " as I am sure they will write in their response below.... the three members of my family sitting there all heard exactly the same promise made by Frank. I certainly didn't have this problem with Apple Honda when we purchased a car there 2 years ago. Looks like I should have taken the ride to a more reputable company. Buyer beware. read more

I made an appointment for my inspection for today, January 4th at 7:30AM, I was going to do a drop off because I have class at 8AM. Luckily my 8AM class got cancelled and I was now able to stay at Nardy while my car gets inspected until my next class at 10AM. Anyways I called them yesterday to ask if this was an option, if i could change my appointment to waiting instead of doing a drop off. First off, they immediately put me on hold when I called which was fine BUT they forgot about me and I was on hold for over 10 minutes. I finally hung up and called back and was only on hold for 2 minutes. The girl told me that I can just tell the person helping me tomorrow that I want to wait instead of leave and it will be fine, she also confirmed that I had an appointment. So I arrive at Nardy on the dot at 7:30AM when my appointment is and guess what, they don't have a record of my appointment! At this point I am a little annoyed because I called and confirmed yesterday, I told him that I have to be done by 9:30AM latest because I have to leave for class. He says that I have to wait because he can't just turn me away and that I need to make an appointment next time(EVEN THOUGH I DID THIS TIME). Lucky for me I was out by 8:40AM but I was still annoyed by the fact that I had an appointment that wasn't in the schedule and that the girl yesterday didn't mention that it would be a problem for me waiting. My car was towed to Nardy Honda in Smithtown today because I hit a pothole and got a flat tire. Apparently hybrids do not have spare tires. I called before it was towed there to say that the car was being towed there and what do I need to do... that was my first message at 12:48 PM. Then I called again after it was towed at 2:28 pm again I left a message. I called numerous times after that but didn't leave a message. I know they can be busy. But a phone call would have been appreciated. Apparently their service department closes at 3 o'clock, well Huntington service department closes at 6 PM. Finally, I decided to call sales because they always answer the phone and I spoke with the sales manager and he said there was nothing he could do the service department opens again on Monday morning at 7am. So, I'm without my car until Monday over a flat tire. They didn't even have the courtesy to pick up the phone or return my messages. I can't give them any stars because to me that service is a zero.
