It's accessible by public transportation or by car.....During the summer season, parking is free after 5pm, so that makes it easy for those wanting to save some bucks. I could not find a public restroom open after 5pm, but I believe they are open during the paid parking hours. Great for surfing during those windy days.

Many people rate this beach as the best State beach in RI. The sand is soft and the beach area is ample. Lots of people come here, there's lots of parking. Electric vehicle charging stations are available for 4 hours max while enjoying the beach.

Parking is $12. per car, and there is no fee for beach. Therefore, $12. for a carload. If you park on the street in Galilee, you can walk to the beach. My young grandchildren love this beach because they do not need to wear water shoes. The food operation that is at the top of the beach has good food. You can walk up to the window and order. That is a bonus! Two Lobster Rolls for $29. is incredible. My SIL said they were excellent: a generous amount of lobster on a toasted roll. You know the lobster is fresh because you are in Galilee where the fishing boats dock. Great beach plus food a few feet from the beach is a win-win. From the beach, you can see the Block Island Ferry, commercial fishing boats, and sightseeing tour boats as they enter the port of Galilee. Nature runs free here. She does what she wants and the land is preserved. It's really a great place to explore vs beach lounging. But, you can lounge if that's your passion. Sometimes the area can be less crowded certain times of the day. The sunsets and sunrises are stunning. You can even catch a glimpse of the Point Judith Lighthouse in the distance. Parking: Tight, tricky and can be crowded. Overall a great place to explore.

Bundle up because the wind whips pretty fierce here. Nice in the summer to cool off but chiiiillllly in the winter. The dirt road into the area gets graded a couple times a year but it does get very very pitted with deep pot holes. Beware if your vehicle is low. Might not be an easy ride. It's free to enter and it gets very busy in the summer. Portable restrooms are around May until September. While you're here, don't miss the touching granite monument to the lost fisherman over near the raised outlook stop. Bring a picnic lunch, your camera, a chair...swimming is nice in the summer.

We came in the winter so there was a lot of snow on the ground, but it was still so beautiful and serene. I imagine it's just gorgeous in the summer. There is a small parking lot with very few stalls, but it also has a limited allowed parking time.
