I really want to love the food on Kauai... and here where I have tried to come numerous times. I got the pork rice bowl, added veggies... bland. Took it home and added some siracha.... The noodles my vegetarian niece had were nominally better, but not by much. The service was friendly and the location is beautiful.

This was the first spot I tried on the island after reading the great Yelp reviews. Although I really wanted to love this place, the local style noodles had a strange smokey taste. Lumpia was great but the sauce that came with it had a watery consistency that had mild to no flavor. I'll likely be back to try other dishes but as for those two, just okay. Service was friendly. The dish took 15 minutes to prepare. This place was slightly more expensive for a food truck. Noodles were $13-15. Lumpia was $6.

This food truck is in Koloa and worth visiting. I ordered the Naruto ramen and the chashu. The woman taking the order was very friendly and nice. The order came out quickly. The ramen broth was piping hot and the broth delicious. I wanted to slurp a quick mouthful but almost got burned. The broth was rich and flavorful in small spoonfuls. The noodle was cooked to a delicate al dente, not over cooked. I got two 1/2 slices of a boiled egg which is generous. The nori complemented the Kamaboko. The chashu was luxurious and flavorful with just the right amount of salt to go along with the fat. Good job!

Tried to eat here like 3x and finally got them 30min before they closed! Nice truck to stop by for lunch, desperate to find somewhere to eat after coming back from the beach and it was like 3:30pm. Just sit by the tables they have near that area designated for the food trucks. Naruto ramen was pretty good. I got it spicy and the broth was good, decent portion but i knew i would be hungry. Wish it came with actual meat but it had a full boiled egg plus fish cakes instead. Cousins got gyoza ramen which tasted fine and the charsiu rice bowls. Rice bowls looked small and we thought they'd be hungry but that miso white gravy was heavy af they could not finish. Charsiu sauce they thought was ok. Not the best we have tasted. Would've been a 4 star but there was an eyelash in my soup (on the egg) sooooo that kinda turned me off already. For $11-14 each ish not bad, it's typical ramen prices. Staff is nice and we got our food quickly.

Seeing all the options, I was a bit skeptical: ya know, lots of options, can't be good at all of them? Well, I didn't try everything but I did try 2 things that were very tasty. Local style fried noodles with shrimp - savory and perfectly cooked Pork cha shu rice bowl - melt in yo' mouth pork belly with delicious sauce. Its deceivingly filling. Service is on the slower/fumbling side but ya know, it's Kauai and they were super nice.

Menu hard to read but there are two veggie noodle dishes they offer

When I saw food truck and noodles in the name on Yelp I knew I would have to check this place out. Normally this area across from the single strip town of Poipu is filled with a lot of food trucks selling all kinds of local fare. I've never tried any in the past because half are either closed or they offer no veggie items on the menu. Well I'm not sure if Naruto Noodles is new on the block but they were open and they had some veggie options that looked promising so here we go. As the name says they serve all kind of noodle dishes here the menu is written on the colorful van and it's a bit hard to find what you are looking for so I asked the sweet lady which veggie items she had available. She said they have a stir fry ramen style noodle dish and one with coconut milk and veggies. I thought that would be tasty so ordered that 5 hot which I was told was the spiciest. They have outdoor tables you can sit at or share with others as there are only a few. You basically pay and pick up when they call your order. Food comes out in like 5 minutes depending on how many people have ordered. Noodles came out and tasted quite good with many veggies but mostly noodles with a creamy coconut sauce. It had a nice kick from the spice but it wasn't overwhelming. Noodles were fresh and didn't break apart. Overall solid taste. Not blow away or anything but a solid lunch option. And having two veggie items was a plus considering the food trucks here are not veg friendly. Oh and the lady was very complimentary saying how nice I was which was very Kammaina:)

We found this truck driving around Koloa Town while looking for some ono grinds. I looked at their Yelp reviews and knew we just had to try it. The hardest part was figuring-out what to order, since so many dishes looked amazing and they truly were! We spoke to Annie, who gave us insight into her vision and culinary background that brought about this onoliscious food truck. You owe it to yourself and your taste buds to check this place out. I ordered the Pork Cha Siu Rice Bowl that had their 6-hour braised pork belly that was topped with their awesome homemade pork miso dressing. The pork belly was super tender and the homemade pork miso dressing was amazing. My wife ordered their Local Style Fried Noodles which was a large portion and with flavor to match. Our son ordered the Spicy Thai Min. Annie suggested splitting the dish into separate containers, since we weren't going to eat it right away. This was a brilliant suggestion, since my son reheated the broth when he was ready to enjoy the meal and added the noodles and spices separately. He was able to add the spicy ingredients to his delight, which was ideal. My only regret was that we only enjoyed one meal from here. I've bookmarked it and will have to come here again on another trip to KauI.

Yum yum! My husband and I are leaving their food truck full and happy. We checked their social media before coming to confirm they were open, which they were until 6pm, so we showed up at 5pm. As we pulled up, they were pulling down their signs. The owner said they had run out of everything except for the local fried noodles. We initially said we'd just order 1 to try, then she asked what else we would've wanted. We said Tonkatsu Ramen, and she said she'd make it for us too. So we waited a little bit,and the result was well worth it. The Tonkatsu ramen - the broth was flavorful and bold, the noodles fresh, and the chashu tender and delicious. She even gave us extra chashu. The local noodles hit the spot as well, a delicious stir fry medley. I was so thankful they decided to make both these dishes for us even though they were closing down. Friendly owners, delicious food. Come early!

A really friendly person at the window to greet you and take your order was probably the best thing about this truck. We got the local style fried noodles and some gyoza. It was salty and greasy so I could see eating this after drinking. They nicely pan fried my gyoza instead of the usual fried when I asked.

Great Ramen. Bit of a wait. The cashier did express how thankful she was to everyone for waiting! Sweet people. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen ($13) and Creamy Pesto Basil Italian Noodles. Tonkatsu ramen had the creamiest broth I've ever had. Naruto and pork were SOOO GOOOOOD. The bowls are pretty decently sized. I was definitely stuffed. Everyone was getting dumplings for their kids and they were loving it. There was corn hole for the kids as well so all in all - a great time.

Naruto Noodles was one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. The owner went out of her way to provide us with the most spectacular experience. Even though they were supposed to be closed on Sundays, she knew we were leaving that night and opened for us. First, we received a tray of yummy drinks, coconuts with straws, and delicious appetizers. Next, she brought out INCREDIBLE noodle bowls, rice bowls, and some of the best ramen I have ever tried. It was a great experience and I cannot wait to return to Naruto Noodles. You cannot miss a chance to eat at the best noodle shop in America!

We stopped by today while in the neighborhood for the Old Koloa Town market and decided to line up for Naruto Noodles - such a great decision as it was one of the best meals we've had this week! The wait for food was way shorter than we were expecting and it came out piping hot, fresh and so delicious! We had the char siu bowl, seafood gyoza ramen and the daily special (surf plate). The kids who are usually picky ate their dishes completely clean. Will try to make it back again before we leave the island!

Amazing flavors from this food truck. I had the local fried noodles, boyfriend has the Ramen Tonkatsu, and a side of pork wonton. Everything was delicious. Broth was full of flavor, wonton were crispy and my noodles were delicious. Nothing bad here.

Naruto Noodles, is my favorite place for the Palabok, and I grab the spaghetti plate for my kids. That palabok though is amazing with the toppings of grilled Kaua'i shrimp, slices boiled eggs, and chichiron! It's my absolute favorite. I've been craving them, but they've been closed. The trickiness of food truck hours is sometimes hard. But Naruto's is epic and worth it every chance you can. Try on the Palabok. read more

Melva aims to please her customers. We called to see if her truck was still open and she said she was getting ready to close but she would wait for us. She serves up an awesome poke bowl and my husband loved his noodles. We enjoyed our food while sitting in that lovely park across from old Koloa town. The service is so slow it's not even worth eating at Naruto Noodles. The woman at the cash register was so rude. The order was wrong and she did not give me a receipt. After several minutes of arguing back-and-forth she checked the iPad and realize she was wrong, but did not apologize. When I tried to talk to her and cancel the order because it had been over 30 minutes she refused to acknowledge me and walk to the back of the truck. She didn't give me back my credit card and I had to get a new credit card. This place was completely terrible. Save yourself the hassle and stress and DO NOT EAT HERE. read more

My husband and I were so excited to come here, and we were not let down! We got Gyoza for an appetizer, which was delicious! My husband got Hawaiian style noodles (I think that was the name) and I got green curry. It was so good my husband wanted to cry when we returned another day to find them closed. They're pretty inexpensive, great service and delicious food. I'd definitely stop by next time I'm in town. read more

Thank goodness they were for open on Labor Day. I ordered the Pork Belly Bowl and a Garlic Noodles with added Shrimp. The Pork Belly was amazing! Garlic Noodles were okay, the noodles were a little too wet (over cooked) for my liking. Be prepared to be surrounded by flies and little bugs flying around while you're eating at their seating area. read more

If you're going to Kauai, you HAVE TO COME HERE!! Food was AMAZING!! Ramen is perfectly cooked; al dente. Cha Shu melts in your mouth. Lumpia is delicious. Garlic noodle is bomb. Ono Food truck in Koloa town! We tried the pork char shu rice bowl, yakisoba ("local style fried noodles"), Thai green curry, "Kauai Luau bowl", and the pesto chicken noodles. It was all tasty, large portions, well seasoned. Not overly salted. My kids love chicken long rice and kalua pork so the Kauai Luau Bowl was heaven for them. It came with rice, lomi lomi salmon, and poi drizzle. The pork char shu bowl had tender, marinated grilled pork belly slices over rice with a miso gravy. Yum! read more

Had a ramen bowl. It was good, but not great. Broth was a bit too salty and the noodles were reconstituted from dry, not fresh ramen noodles. My wife had the Ahi roll. It was better than the ramen. The lumpia was just meh, unfortunately because lumpia can be great. I would eat hear again, but need to manage expectations. read more

I ordered the vegetarian stir fry with tofu added. The veggies and sauce were really good. The people working were also super sweet. She was really helpful in explaining all of my options to me. They also made my togo orders when I was about to leave just so it would stay fresh. Also, there are a bunch of cute wild chickens in the area. read more

We stopped for a late lunch(2:30)and this truck was the only one still open. Had promise but feel short. Had the Garlic Butter Noodles with Chicken. Noodles were very sticky and slightly overcooked, chicken was dry. And at $15 per plate would expect a bit more. read more

Amazing food! I don't normally write reviews, but this is not your typical food truck. We visited twice and owner Annie is an awesome chef and individual. We had the miso pork belly over rice twice. It became my son's favorite! Dishes are creative and unique...and delicious. I love their tonkatsu ramen and their special truffle ramen...I give them 10 stars..the broth was what I call very 'clean' and tasty...just authentic ingredients!! Even the pesto spaghetti, my daughter's favorite, was the best she ever had. Their local fried noodles was just right, noodles had just the right texture, cooked perfectly and had a good mix of veggies and pork. Add shrimp to your garlic noodles, those are delicious as well....We also had the bobas...taro coconut and honeydews were great...priced reasonably considering what you get in Cali for just about the same prices. We will most definitely be back when we visit Kauai and wish Annie, mom and their crew the best!! You won't be disappointed! read more

OMG! I am so glad my son spotted this gem of a food truck! This was our family's best meal on this trip to Kauai hands down. The owner is so sweet and passionate about the community and the ingredients found locally that you can taste the quality in her dishes. This is a high end restaurant disguised in a little food truck. This is a must go on your trip to Kauai! read more

Horrible service. Took forever to get my food. 45 mins for one plate of noodles and lumpia. I understand it's made to order but come on. Was told by lady 15-20 mins. I tipped them before hand almost 5 dollar as I usually do to support local foods but what a regret. Around the 25 min they told me food was coming out soon but that said I continued waiting and nothing. People in line before already got their food 20 mins ago and im still waitng for me. Then i see someone behind me in line get their food too. It was at this point I knocked on the order window of food truck and was completely ignored. 3 woman inside and no one bothered to ask how can I help you and no answer. I knocked hard because i was frustrated. I wanted to cancel my order and just leave. Horrible!!! Had 1 yr old and 4 yr old in car crying. Finally got food and it was partially burnt. Avoid this place to avoid wasting time and being ignored as a customer. read more

Newlywed couple on our honeymoon. Weather has been less than ideal. Were craving some ramen, and found this gem of a place. The tonkotsu ramen is so good. The broth is so rich. I know my ramen pretty well. There's gotta be so much time and resources invested for the broth to be that way. If you want real authentic tonkotsu ramen, this is the place. Their chasu is the exact same way. It is super tender and just falls off. It's intricately glazed and seared. Their house made gravy compliments the chasubowl. May be the best I've ever had. I was full, but I found myself mindlessly gobbling it down. We also tried their unique fried noodles. The cinch of calamansi juice on the fried noodles makes it magical. I cannot rave enough about this place. Definitely will be back. read more

If you ever get the chance to visit Kaua'i, Naruto Noodles is a must visit. They have an amazing assortment of Noodle dishes of different styles. Filipino, Italian, Local, Thai, and of course Ramen! I personally have to have the fried noodles, and the cha shu bowl (if it's not already sold out) every time I visit. The staff are fun, funny, and friendly. You wont regret visiting this up and coming food truck, and dont forget to follow their Instagram @naruto_noodles for hours of operation and any new items on the menu. read more

After reading all the good reviews I can't believe we ate at the same place. Then I heard from a local friend that the ownership arrangement had changed Anyway my daughter and I hate fish so we carefully got one of the dishes that had no fish products and we confirmed this when we placed the order. Both our dishes tasted horribly of fish. My daughter spit hers out immediately. I swallowed a couple of bites. They must somehow cross contaminate. The noodles were congealed lumps. I had GI distress several hours later although I can't pin this on Naruto. Look elsewhere. read more

The market looked and smelled clean. The employees were friendly and helpful. We ordered a pound of octopus and a half pound of salmon poke. This is a great portable meal for the beach which we did. This ended up being one of if not the best meal we had all week in Kauai and it's right around the corner from where we are staying at the Sheraton Kauai Resort! We only managed to get a photo of one of our four meals because we hounded the food so quickly, but you can imagine how good the rest of our food was when the pineapple combination rice looked like this. If we are ever back in town, you can guarantee we will be back at Koloa Thai Bistro! PS: a quick note for the management - get that sign at the bottom of the stairs changed because you don't need hibachi to get people in the door anyway!

The Brussel Sprouts & Cauliflower was excellent, golden raisins and pine nuts add sweetness and texture, balsamic vinegar counters with wonderful acid contrast. The Black Garlic & Yuzu Ahi Tartar is simply fabulous, one of the best bites I have ever had. I first had this dish two years ago when it was introduced as a new dish in a prefix meal. On that trip we returned to enjoy the dish once again. Had it again last year as I travel to Kauai each year. I'm happy to see it is still on the menu! Our third dish was the Vietnamese Style Sashimi and it was okay, although a bit underwhelming for Eating House standards. It was fresh but lack the complexity that I have grown to expect from this restaurant. We requested some wasabi and it helped with the flavors. He brought us a serving of edamame which is always on the house. The shrimp & pork potstickers were very good. I had the ramen which was tasty, filling and a great choice. Our server was terrific to put the spicy oil on the side which made it easier for me to eat. My husband had the butterfish which is the best I have ever tasted. It is a signature dish and always a pleaser. The only real downside is the limited menu. We were told that because of a staff shortage, it wasn't the typical menu. This was disappointing. But they did have the best of the Roy's dishes. So far, it has been the best experience that we have had in Poipu.

It was just okay, the espresso is a little more on the acidic side and I couldn't taste any vanilla flavor. Definitely not the worst latte I've had in Hawaii, but for the cost of lattes nowadays, I wouldn't come back to try more of their menu until I try other local coffee shops first. One bite immediately transported me back to hanabada days. Also, after I rolled up in muddy-ass clothes, sis working there took one look at me and hit me with the kamaʻāina discount without hesitation . That honestly healed something in me. No questions asked. At that point I knew the shave ice was gonna be good because locals can sense when someone grew up eating shave ice instead of "shaved ice." 10/10. Bumbai I come again.

If you haven't tried out naruto noodles then you're definitely missing out. From their ramen to filipino cuisines, you would tell yourself it's that amazing and continue to go. Customer service is always top notch and i've been going here every time i come to kaua'i for vacation. Everyone is so sweet and if you have a question about what's in their food they can definitely help you out with substitutions as well. Never miss out on this opportunity ! read more

Night time or should I say late night for Kaua'i standard time. It's a food truck we saw on the side of the road and it was still open even at 11 pm now for Kaua'i which is never heard of.Friendly staff. The ramen was okay needed some hot sauce and a little more flavor. My wife said her food was just okay.
