I had a lot of chicken teriyaki on my trip to Seattle. And this spot was my favorite one. Very unassuming location. It was raining so wasn't too busy. But as I entered. The ordering desk was right in front. Quickly took my order for a chicken teriyaki plate. The chicken was cooked perfectly here. Lightly sauced. And charred to perfection. While maintaining the juicy inside. The rice cooked well where it still was sticky. The salad and yellow dressing is a must. A good portion size and came out very quick. Loving trying all these chicken teriyaki spots in town and this is currently at the top of my list

had a great experience here! for reference, this was the 3rd teriyaki spot that i have tried since moving to seattle. loved the texture of the chicken as well as the portion size, flavors were on point and i appreciate that it came with a small side salad. i also don't like when my chicken is drenched in the teriyaki, but they glaze on a very generous amount and then provide extra in a cup for you to add more to taste, i really liked that! the sauce was not too sweet or overpowering with just the right amount of tang to compliment the texture and taste of the chicken and fried rice. the salad provides a nice bite of freshness as well in between bites of the teriyaki and rice! orders are packed up in a bag with everything you need including additional teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, utensils and napkins, and the salad with dressing as well. fried rice substitution: i got the chicken teriyaki with fried rice substituted in and loved the texture of the fried rice. i have high standards for fried rice, and they really did succeed in having each grain of the fried rice being separate with the rice not being mushy at all, excellent! nice staff as well! the restaurant is tucked away when walking in from the back entrance facing the ave, but is quite long with plenty of seating and nice ambiance. in retrospect, i thoroughly enjoyed my food here, and although i do wish the fried rice substitution cost less money, perhaps $3 instead of $5 (at the time added $5 for a total of $19 ish for my meal), i do think everything tasted good and i had enough leftover for a small dinner portion afterwards, despite being a reasonably big eater. overall: 9.5/10 taste: 10/10 price: 8.75/10 (9/10 if you don't sub-in fried rice, although it tastes excellent) thoroughly enjoyed my time here! would go back. just wish the total came out to closer to $16 total rather than closer to $20, but the portions and taste were great, so 5 stars. :)

My partner enjoyed his chicken teriyaki but I was pretty disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options. A lot of the photos online are not accurate with what the restaurant actually serves. They no longer have tofu and the only vegetarian option was rice with teriyaki cabbage and a few pieces of broccoli.

We stumbled across this hole in the wall while walking through the u district. The pictures out front drew us in. The teriyaki chicken with gyoza and a soda for $15 was a pretty good deal. It tastes great! They had a jug of teriyaki sauce sitting out if you needed some extra sauce. The yakisoba was very good, too. It had a lot of veggies in it.

Got lured in by the sign outside the door; expected more than I got for some reason. Tiny bit on the pricy side, but altogether just pretty unremarkable food. The salad was notably not very good, the dressing was kinda strange. If I was on the Ave and I really wanted teriyaki, it'd get the job done, but as it stands, I feel like there's so many better places to go a stone's throw away.... hard to recommend. Just OK.

Nasai Teriyaki is another place my office orders food from when we're too lazy to pack our own lunch. After ordering lunch here twice, I am not a fan of this place. My first try of this place, I ordered one of their specials, which was bulgogi. It was terrible. The meat was dry and tasted too sweet. The second (and last) time I ordered I went with their chicken katsu and I was not lucky with that dish. The chicken was very tough and dry, which made eating not an enjoyable experience. There are so many better dining options on the ave so think twice before buying food here.

This place served a very big portion of chicken teriyaki! I loved the rice! It had the perfect bite to it! The chicken teriyaki came with a side of salad! The chicken was a bit dry, but it didn't make me disappointed. I also ordered a side of gyozas, but let me tell you. This got me disappointed. The side of gyoza costed $4.99 but you only get 4 pieces. That makes each piece to be $1.25. I wish they would have gave more. The sauce for the gyoza was delightful! It was a bit sour but also sweet! They also included a what I believe to be kinda sweet soy sauce for the rice! All in all, I'd say decent portions but you can probably get gyozas somewhere else for cheaper. I would only come here if I was truly craving teriyaki. The workers were very friendly and kind. Definitely would give the workers a 4.5/5!

I live in Northern California and have been coming in here for 15 years when I work at UW Med Center or Childrens Seattle on business. I have tried other teriyaki establishments throughout the Seattle and Tacoma area, Nasai Teriyaki has consistently been the best flavor of teriyaki I have ever tried. Wish we had a teriyaki place like this in the Bay Area. I highly recommend this place for it's good and inexpensive teriyaki meals ***** Cheers

The sushi rolls were mostly rice with little fish. I would skip getting any of them. The carpaccios were interesting... not really what I was thinking when I order carpaccios at other restaurants but the fish was good quality and the sauces paired well. I liked the the yuzu sour! It was so tart and fizzy, whereas the lemon sour mostly tasted like water. They are really just known for their decor, which is indeed super cool. The ambiance is very fun. It can get super busy so make a reservation, especially if you have a bigger group coming. But again, the menu has a nice variety of options for all different approaches and preferences, so we're excited for our next visits and to nail down our true favorites.

While they could've been speaking to menu technicality of simply having it on the menu, in a well-spirited reply they said they had it for us. And so we... * Took a $35 Lyft to zoom over and respect their time, which certainly contributed to the frustration but very much isn't where most of it derived from. We made it a few minutes before the time we said we'd be there. * The only reason this isn't one star is because we ordered skewers that were pretty decent. I do recommend those. * Make sure to have phone charge for the virtual menus The host was amazing!!! Incredible spirits for late night. The servers were pretty garbage! I say servers plural because dude and his lookalike double-teamed us and somehow both sucked. I say this as someone who's worked in the service industry for 3 years. The servers seemed actively dismayed & angry that we were at the restaurant (there were 2 bigger tables that ended up remaining before we left the place, mind you), which simply could've been easily mitigated by telling us at 8:50PM to come a different day if we wanted better service or something of the sort. After traveling far & wide for this freakin Okonamiyaki, with an offputting slight glare, the waiter told us that they didn't have it for the night. No reason provided: "we just don't have it"... mmmk buddy. At least lie to us and say that the kitchen doesn't have any more ingredients or something dude. Upon the 3 of us ordering what we got, each item was disappointing in its own right: * To be fair, my friend who ordered the Uni Udon was warned that it might be a little weird tasting, and it sure was. Don't recommend * The JFC Don pictured was about 90% rice according to my friend. Nothing more needed to say there. * Annd my Maguro Avocado Don... wow I was astonished at how much I disliked it. The rice was lukewarm. Nothing was mentioned about minced tuna on the menu so it looked like dog food in my bowl. I'm white... so what in the white people shit was in my bowl? Like...genuinely. I could make that 10x better at my house in half the time and I'm a fcking college student. Is seasoning no longer with us? Does anyone know what pepper or garlic are? Was astonished at how one can make a dish so terrible. I only ate it because I'm broke and can't afford other stuff. The dish looks as horrible as it tasted , and I made it look better than it was served to me I could go on. And lastly, the checks. Yknow, for guys that seemed so pissed for us being there, they were slow as hell with the checks. I'm kind af but a bitch when I'm fucked with (case in point here), so I really gave them my whole dentures, which was exponential in magnitude compared to what they gave us. Thank you Issian, for a terrible night. Citizens of the world, please don't waste your money here, I beg you.

The dispenser was wet, suggesting it had recently been used and run out. I flagged this to an employee who was handling food at the time. They acknowledged me but didn't address it. I waited and brought it up again and was met with visible annoyance. Another staff member eventually mentioned that employees use a sink in the kitchen. I asked if I could use it. Shortly after, soap appeared in the bathroom with no acknowledgment or apology. What concerns me most is this: if the customer-facing restroom had no soap during the dinner rush, and the response to being asked about it was irritation rather than urgency, what does that say about how handwashing is handled behind the scenes? I'm not looking for perfection. I'm looking for basic food safety protocol to be taken seriously. I didn't see that here.

On the misses, the spicy salmon hand roll was extremely salty to the point where it was burning my tongue. The hot dishes like the salmon chanchan yaki and chicken teriyaki were bland and overcooked, didn't even want to bring leftovers home. And the sushi took FOREVER to come out, at least 15 minutes after the hot dishes, so be warned if it's busy.
