The service is superb - friendly, customer service and satisfaction oriented. The woman taking my order seems to know many in the local neighborhood and recognizes her "regular customers." She's very kind and social. Prices are fair. Food is really delicious and cooked to order (hot foods are hot). Perfectly seasoned and balanced (not salty, not dry). Great options. Thursday afternoon seemed to be a good time to find parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior dining area is cozy - not a lot of seating space, but convenient for a quick bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely come back.

Wow! What a great take out spot! Family owned for over 20 years and super friendly. Complimentary warm tea to sip while you wait. Large portions and just what we were hoping for in sticky rice, teriyaki chicken and pork and little salads on the side. We'll be back, thank you so much

I paid 28.75 for a spicy chicken teriyaki from Nasai teriyaki . I also paid an extra 8 dollars for "extra chicken" and only received a single portions worth. The food was good but i feel like i got screwed over for paying almost half of what the original meal cost. I asked the lady taking the orders if this was extra meat and she said yes. I've eaten there before and got what i paid for but this time i do feel screwed over

Been on the hunt for a new teriyaki joint. One of my cousins kept asking if I've tried Nasai yet. Honestly, I never made it a point because of the location. A little far from home and not very convenient to get to. (Also kind of a sketchy, undesirable location). But on the way home from Chelan I was really feening for some teriyaki, and I didn't want to cook!It actually was convenient on the way home since I was headed south on LCW. Called the order in, and swooped by to pick up. I was in and out within minutes. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki (no salad). When I got home and opened the container, I was shocked (and impressed!) with the portion size. Nasai was far more generous with the portion than any other teriyaki joint in the area, especially for the price! I was able to stretch this into 2 meals, easily! The spicy teriyaki was delicious! It was the perfect amount of spicy!! I've been raving about this place all weekend! Though the location isn't close to home, it is on my husbands way home from work! So, looks like I found the spot!

Ladies serving us were so kind. This hole in the wall has some of the best teriyaki I've had. Super homey vibes and you can tell they pour their heart into it!

This place has been here since I was litte, I remember my Dad would always order takeout. I got take out chicken teriyaki with the sauce on the side Chicken was nicely charred and moist, sauce was sweet, salty and savory. Rice was perfectly cooked. Came with salad, nothing special. Chicken to rice ratio was 1:1, nicely done. The lady that rang me up was pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior had a couple tables if you want to dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pictures of the food at the counter are clear so you know what you're ordering.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No frills Teriyaki place with good portions and quality eats. Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10

The best chicken teriyaki in North Seattle, and do yourself a favor and try the chicken fried rice. Absolutely lovely people running it.

I cannot give this fine restaurant enough stars. I've been frequenting Ryu Nakano's sushi…read morerestaurants for many years and it's some of the best sushi I've ever had. We reserve well in advance and mostly sit at the sushi bar. The space is on the smaller side but I've seen hopeful walk-ins be seated (I've also seen many turned away--I suggest reservations.) Service has always been stellar. We normally enjoy a salmon flight, a tuna flight, the kelp-cured scallops (must be ordered in advance) and whatever else strikes our fancy or Nakano-San recommends. It's always spectacular! I find the nigiri to be just about perfect--just enough rice to offset the fresh taste of the fish. There is plenty on the menu beyond sushi but we admit to coming here for one reason only so I can't speak to much else (although the green salad is very nice, as is dessert.) Plenty of wine, cocktail and sake options. I remember the many years we didn't have a sushi restaurant in downtown Edmonds so I never take an evening here for granted. We are fortunate to have Nakano-San as a part of our community. Check it out if you haven't yet, and enjoy!

I would say that many parts lived up to the high praises while others did not unfortunately :( The service was amazing! The staff were very attentive and kind. We were seated quickly and were not left waiting long for any part of our dinning experience which was very nice. We both got 2 portions of the 11 piece omakase ($53) and the great pacific northwest roll ($20) to share. The omakase offered good variety and came with an explanation of each cut of fish which was nice. We both enjoyed everything just fine but were left a little disappointed with the quality. Because of all the great reviews and the price point, I think we just were expecting to enjoy our meal much more than we did. The fish quality was not poor by any means but just not that good. The roll also lacked a bit of flavor as well :( I don't know if we just went on an off night or not, and I am hopeful that might be true. The ambiance was nice and balanced, the tables were spaced apart well, making the hum of the restaurant nice but not too much. I don't think we would be back due to the overall quality of our meal but it think it is worth a stop if you are craving sushi in the area.

Yet, it's disappointing to say that we've been sourly disappointed the last 2-3 times we came here. Not sure if it's management change or something happened, but Nakagawa lost its magic with us. 1. The service has been terribly slow and just not inviting anymore. After ordering, we waited easily 35-40 min for the food. I know it takes time to meticulously prep rolls, but after 30 min of just sitting and waiting, you can't help but start feeling hangry. And this isn't just a one-time occurrence - this happened multiple times for us. 2. The bento box quality. I LOVE bento boxes - it was such a treat to dine on so many different Japanese options, like a sampler box of goodness. Ranging from nigiri to sushi, from tempura to the soup, bento boxes have a special place in my heart. Yet, I feel like Nakagawa's bento boxes have sadly missed that mark. The protein (chicken teriyaki/katsu) tastes old and oddly mushy, and the portions are quite small, just leaving me wanting more. Don't get me wrong - the fish is still good. Solid place for seafood, paired with a lengthy wait. But Nakagawa just lost its touch with us, and driving that 30-35 min trek is not worth it for us anymore.
