For to go sushi it was pretty good. My friends and I ordered pick up off of DoorDash. The place was a little small and had parking spots right in front for pick up. The service workers were nice and had the food prepared before I got there, it finished perfectly in time as what it said on the app. The cashier told me that next time I should order off of their own website instead of DoorDash because it's cheaper so I'll note that for next time, I checked and it seems to be true. The sushi was good, I especially liked the seared salmon nigiri. I believe that each piece comes with a different type of sauce and I wished I knew which was which, as I couldn't tell by looking at it. But I'm going to guess it's in the order it's listed on their menu. None of my friends and I liked the California dreaming, I didn't like it but my friends both didn't want a second piece. All of the other pieces were fine. Overall, I wouldn't choose to go back but if it was convenient I'd try it again. I think the price point isn't worth it and I'd rather just go to momiji. However, my bad for not ordering on their own website instead -- and I do really like the seared salmon nigiri set and would like to get my own order next time. This is my family's favorite sushi place. There's always parking, it's super casual, fresh, quick and a good value. A hidden gem.

I heard about this place on TikTok and stopped here when I was in the area. I guess this is a lesson learned not to trust TikTok for all recommendations. I was pretty disappointed by the dishes we ordered, especially considering the prices of them! The orange chicken bowl was nothing special. I think I could make the same thing (maybe better) using the frozen chicken from trader joe's! Similarly, the chirashi bowl was just alright. Fish is sliced very thin and the rice is quite hot so the fish was warm by the time we ate it. Omaki serves Japanese fast food. I got the Teriyaki Chicken, they served it in a take out container. The chicken was nicely charred and juicy. Disproportionate amout of sauce on layers of chicken. Top had some, middle had none, bottom was swimming in it. They did give you a side of sauce. Sauce was sweet, a little salty, and very watery. The vegetables were disappointing. Hard, raw, plain and no flavor, the dressing gave it a little flavor, sweet and creamy. However, rice was cooked to perfection. The chicken to rice ratio was off, there was more chicken than rice. While the rolls are good, they're a little pricey for the amount of food you get. I'd have to spend a lot to get full off the rolls. Instead, I recommend sticking with the the non-roll dishes. I was craving sushi this particular Sunday evening. Kaiten and izakaya indoor seating are currently prohibited. My finances couldn't support an omakase splurge. Another neighborhood site was closed on Sundays. Plus I really did not want to go the supermarket sushi route. So I looked up what my options were via Yelp and I saw O Maki Rolls and Teriyaki listed in nearby Greenwood (1/3/21). Don't follow Google maps, because you can't access their three marked parking spots at the Piper Village business area. Heading southbound on Greenwood Avenue N, go past N 87th, take the next available right turn one way access driveway heading west, and go past Verity Credit Union. Read my Yelp tip or just park along Greenwood Ave N. It was my first onsite visit, so I did not order online or phone ahead. I noticed at least four others come in for immediate takeout orders. Smart pro tip move, especially with the parking slot situation. I was given a business card with a QSR code to view the menu for future orders. But for folks like me with an older smart phone, yeah good luck with that. Note this review does not cover teriyaki, poke, donburi bowls, or rolls...only a grilled special and nigiri. Nigiri is currently discounted as part of their January 2021 campaign. Normally a pair is $6, this month it's only $4. Of the three featured specials this evening, I opted for the grilled hamachi kama ($10), this came with a lemon wedge and ponzu sauce. I ate this with a little steamed rice prepared at home. This was a fairly decent serving, nicely grilled yellowfish collar, crispy skin and moist. For those where fish bones or eating with your fingers isn't an issue, this is for you! The nigiri I selected were 2 each/pair (usually $6, but this month only $4): hamachi/yellowtail, tuna, sake/salmon, and unagi. I didn't ask whether these were wild and sustainable, sorry. The nigiri portions were huge but unwieldly using the provided chopsticks. Some splash and disintegration of the sushi rice was experienced. Napkins and Kikkoman soy sauce packets were provided, same with standard pickled ginger and wasabi. Clean and well laid out shop for pandemic times...masked, social distancing marked floor, just takeout no indoor seating currently. Menu items are posted by the entrance and also above the front counter. Be sure to check the handwritten board for featured specials too. Friendly customer service. I didn't wait long for my onsite placed takeout order, but then I was occupied posting Yelp photos. This was a plentiful takeout order for one person. Decent menu selection, convenient and close to home. All items with tax and tip was just under $33. A nice find in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood. read more

This is a small place to pick up food quickly. They have sizable rolls, different rice bowls, hand rolls and more. It's a small place with seating for maybe 12-15 people total so not great for large groups. But good place to get food to go as they are quick. The taste is pretty good, would try some of the other rolls. It's hard to gauge freshness though since it is pretty saucy. read more

Nowadays chirashi bowl usually cost around $28-$35. Let's talk about food. It's very fresh. I'm surprise with how good of quality the fishes are. The sashimi itself is slightly thinner than the usual chirashi I get but look at the price $18 I think it's very reasonable. Consider everything is very expensive these days I don't blame them for doing that to keep the cost low. I actually appreciate it. My only complaint is there is eel sauce on top my rice. It's not what I expect from chirashi bowl. I will make sure to ask them not to put it on my chirashi bowl next time. But overall it definitely exceed my expectations. Service is amazing the lady was very patience with me. I was so hungry and I had a sushi craving like you wouldn't believe, so I hopped online to find a nearby sushi spot. I went with this spot based on the reviews, and it did NOT disappoint! I would echo the other review I saw that mentioned to call or order in-person. If you use a 3rd party online ordering system, you really will pay about an extra $3 per roll. I ordered the Pacific (cooked creamy salmon, asparagus, topped w/seared salmon, masago, green onions, spicy sauce, sweet wasabi sauce), the Shrimp Tempura Roll (shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado, cucumber, unagi sauce, sesame seeds), and the California Dreaming (crab meat, tamago, inari, avocado, cucumber, sesame seeds). I also asked for utensils & extra soy sauce and mmmm mmmm mmmmmm, did this place deliver! I only regret that I only got one decent photo because I inhaled all this sushi so fast! The sushi rolls are 5 and 6 pieces, but they are MASSIVE and packed. Not the small little standard rolls, but really thick, where it feels like you got 8 thinner slices' worth. It was so delicious, and total cost me about $30 (I called and ordered by phone). I was so pleased with it, and just finished my leftover like 2 pieces this morning for breakfast and nearly cried at how delicious it was. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. So we wanted to find a Sushi place that was nearby, but also tasty... unfortunately the options are limited, fortunately, this option was available. However, they do rolls and other Japanese food of the like. The prices may seem a little high at first glance, especially if you look a the cost per roll, per piece. If you do take the chance, you will find out that each of their speciality roll pieces are easily a two or maybe three bit piece.. so take the number of roll pieces and multiply by 2.. and suddenly, the prices actually look fair. Their basic rolls are typical sized, and typically priced. We ordered 4 rolls from them, and each was pretty tasty, the flavours were on point, and everything was neatly packaged. The wasabi was face clearing, which is what you basically want if you like this stuff. Overall, if you are in Greenwood, and not looking for a oversized burrito (size of a small infant) from Gorditos, then you should make your way here, and order up. read more

Wow the rolls are huge. I was surprised when I ordered via phone the total for two rolls incl tax is $29. I thought that was an expensive lunch for a teriyaki place. Once I picked up my food I realize how big the rolls are. Each is about almost double of a typical roll. Four pieces In and I'm s already full. Next time for lunch I will just order one roll and try out some of their other items. The lady at the cashier was friendly and the place seem pretty busy w some dine in.
