I really really reallllllly want to like this place. The staff is friendly and I love the old cafe feel and that it's downtown Camas. I love sitting outside or at the counter watching the Kitchen action and getting all the feels. You get the understanding that there are always regulars there and that it's just a staple of the town. Today was the third time we have eaten here. We all enjoyed our food the last two times we ate. First time wifey had a salad and hubby and kids had breakfast food. 2nd visit was breakfast all around. Huge omelets, biscuits and gravy and breakfast minis. This go round breakfast minis again for the kids. Protein omelet and biscuits and gravy for the hubby and wifey got the eggs Benedict. Almost everyone enjoyed their food. Wifey felt the food seemed really bland even after seasoning it up more. We were probably the last people to be served for the day and they had been extremely busy. We love this little town, Camas. There's lots of little gems inside of the 12 block radius of this quaint little town. Natalie's café is no exception. This little restaurant serves up a fine breakfast and lunch, seven days a week, open till two. The staff were friendly and service was great. The food was even better! I had the corned beef hash, add veggies. It was fresh, flavorful and not heavy on the salt. Fresh raspberry jam on the table was delicious. We'll be back, likely next Sunday. My daughter and I came there this weekend for breakfast. I did find the wait a little longer than I thought it should take to order, and then to get served. I noticed the cook was doing a very good job, but she would set the food out and I'm not sure she was alerting the waiters or waitresses that it was ready to be served. Living in West Camas it's just easier to go to Vancouver for stuff but when I want a really good hearty breakfast and I have my pup with me I always opt for Natalia's. I was never any good at gambling, blackjack sounded like fun... but I lost my money. Craps seemed like a good time and when I was younger I loved to speak of it because I felt like I was getting away with saying a bad word. Roulette however was always a safe bet. At the very worst you are a little less than 50/50 for winning. And when it comes to gambling, that is hardly a gamble at all. Cafe's are quite the same, you always walk into one hoping that it will be good. However, like roulette some are bad, and you rarely find those cafe's that are a "meh". But as it should come to you as no surprise, the visual aspects of a cafe contribute nothing to how the food comes out. Grease? Lets throw some more in there! Fat hairy guy? Fine by me. So when you remove the clutter and add in a few older Russian women it is anyone's game as to how the food will taste. Natalia's Cafe, located on a quiet corner of a sleepy town is something that you could easily stroll by without ever even noticing. Traipsing through Camas, and hungry, however, the cafe becomes a beacon of brunch-light. The fortunate combination of eastern facing windows and the early afternoon closing time of 2.30 ensures the cafe will always be filled with the sun's warm glow. A lunch counter separates the open kitchen from the booths and tables adjacent to the large windows. Taking a seat, you may or may not (with an emphasis on may) be treated to the delightful subtle sounds of some Russian conversations in the background. Not to be troubled however as the incredibly polite staff ensures that your order is taken and made for you as if you were stopping in for breakfast at your mother's home. By the time the food quickly arrived at our table I was gleefully ready to enjoy my biscuits and gravy. Another roulette experience, will it be too thick? Too runny? Too much meat... well you can never have too much meat in biscuits and gravy. Yet they seemed to have found the perfect combination. The menu describes it as "my very own gravy recipe" and I can truthfully say that I haven't experienced anything like it before. Then we come to the bacon, I mentioned during the meal that bacon at home always seems to disappoint. It can never be cooked right, and even if by some force of God you were able to get it to that perfect stage, it would still be plagued by 50% fat and being thin as paper. I will never in my life be able to understand how they get theirs so perfect. Some restaurants instantly make you feel uneasy and nervous. Taking a gamble on staying will leave you frustrated when you walk away. And yet sometimes, as such with the game of roulette, you walk in boasting of confidence, and perhaps walk away a little richer. Natalia's just might do that to you. read more

Sunday brunch is always the best way to start off the week. Hubbs and I remember a few people taking about this lovely little cafe on the corner and thought we would give it a try. Boy oh boy were we delighted with our entire experience. Staff was so friendly and helpful, the food portions were the perfect size and great price! Hubbs got the croissant breakfast sandwich (that was gone in no time) and I decided to go with the buffet. There were so many great options for meat eaters, carb eaters, fruit eaters and vegetarians. Went in to get breakfast today and had a rude waitress from the beginning, however the worst part was with food safety. The cook was wearing flip flops and no gloves the entire time we were there. It also wasn't great to hear the cook talking to a customer about "the wall" at 7 am so loudly the entire place could hear. Also, it's incredibly expensive. On January 23rd my spouse and I (both of us male) had seen Natalia's and decided to try it out. We walked in to a mostly empty restaurant. The counter was mostly full and 2 to 3 tables were occupied. We waited for a few minutes unsure if we seat ourselves or wait to be seated. There was no visible signage. I noticed both the counter server and the waitress saw us but elected to not acknowledge us. So we decided to seat ourselves at a booth that appeared to be clean. Once we sat down we noticed the coffee cup on the table was dirty. No big deal. We moved it to the end of the table to be picked up. So there we sat still awaiting acknowledgement from any of the staff. We watched as the waitress chit chatted with one of the 2 other table that were occupied. Patiently waiting but getting annoyed. After approximately 5 minutes of waiting another trio entered. Two females and a male. They received immediate acknowledgment. The trio sat themselves at an obviously dirty table with plates, cups, etc. Both staff members ran over apologizing, cleaned the table, and took their drink orders. Meanwhile, we sat unacknowledged and thirsty. By this time we were fed up. Our patience had run out. We decided to leave. As we were leaving the waitress finally asked if we needed anything. I said, "not now" and walked out. If I wanted to have caused a scene I would have. But it wasn't worth it. So why am I writing over a month later. Well, the waitress commented on a FB review we left. She encouraged us to use christian forgiveness and try them again. Then we noticed on some of the other posts she slammed us stating we were rude people for seating ourselves. Her true nature was revealed. She and the other staff member are only going to cater to those they feel worthy of their time. So I say don't waste your time at Natalia's. Try another place that values each customer not just who they want to serve. read more

Completely cooked yolk and small too. 2/5 My wife's scrambled eggs were terribly over cooked. My wife couldn't finish them 2/5. Hash browns mushy 2/5. I am hoping this was an off day. A breakfast place that can't cook eggs? The waitress was very nice and apologetic although she didn't seem to know the difference between sunny side up and easy over. She also comped my meal. Service 4/5. Overall experience I rounded up to 3/5. I'll give this place another try because I want to try the corned beef hash and goulash and I usually give my home town businesses 2-3 visits before writing a final review if it is less than 4/5. We really like this place! It's right in our sleepy little downtown, and, while it's nothing spectacular ( no super gourmet waffles or anything crazy), it's really well-executed Russian-American fusion diner cuisine. She moved here from Russia and built this place from the ground up, and all the locals know it. It's family friendly and family run-- a great breakfast and lunch spot. I love the Russian Meat Crepes. They're exactly what the name sounds like. Crepes with meat in them. Served with sour cream, they're so yummy. They have the typical corner diner fare, with palatable coffee and canned juice. No real maple syrup (which is a bummer for our corn-syrup allergic kiddo) which is the reason for three stars and not four. I had the Goulash special for lunch a week ago, and it was so good. My daughter had the homemade chicken noodle soup. Also tasty. She makes these amazing pastries from scratch. If you didn't know to look for it, you'd walk right by the pastry-case without a second glance. But seriously, these things are divine. if I ever need a crowd-pleaser for a brunch or dessert, this place is my go-to! Good stuff, hometown soul food, great for Sunday breakfast. read more

This is a small cafe in downtown Camas, WA. The interior is nothing special, but the place is clean and cozy. The owner is a Russian woman...her young son was cooking. On the menu you can find Russian soup, meat loaf, stuffed with ground meat crepes, sandwiches, burgers, pancakes, some home made pastries... The reason I gave this place only two stars because I've ordered stuffed with ground meat crepes (this is a traditional Russian dish) and they were not fresh. The owner pulled them out of the fridge, warmed them up in a microwave and put it in front of me...that's it.. Really, I can do this at home..And I got a little cup of fruit salad which was definitely prepared a couple of days ago. read more

Both very tasty, but it was almost $13 and since there is no side like salad or chips, it was just not a good deal. I had a hard time eating the sandwich because it was separating in my hands, but it was so good that I would have it again, but not at these prices. My partner had a meatloaf sandwich that was delicious, but small in size and it was the priciest of all foods. Again no side. It was sad to see a sandwich on a big plate with no chips or a salad. Came here last Saturday for what I considered an early breakfast (8:30am) When we walked in & the host or waitress gave us the dirtiest look. I don't know if that was her face stock but it wasn't a very nice look. I'm just putting it out there. Since it was a pretty morning we decided to sit outside. I ordered the French Toast & it was pretty good :) It hit the spot without overfilling me. It came with scrambled eggs, bacon & 2 french toasts cut in triangles. I finished it all besides 1/2 of one. Was driving around Camas before heading up to Lacamas Lake Park. Saw this place on the corner and immediately decided that's where we wanted to go for lunch. Cozy, family atmosphere, and very friendly and attentive service. I ordered the Natalia's Crepe Special at first but ended up having to go with the meat crepes (don't remember exactly why, I think they were out of chicken or something). My friend ordered the protein scramble. Food came out quickly...maybe a little too quickly. I'm really unsure as to whether the crepes were freshly made or not, leaning more towards not. I was a little disappointed given all of the reviews mentioning this dish and the server commenting on their awesomeness. Might have been that it was towards closing time. My friend's meal tasted fresh and delicious though. This place deserves another shot someday. read more
