Stayed at the Hawthorne Hotel and were excited to try Nathaniel's. So glad that we did. Our server was super friendly and attentive with a great personality. The ambiance is that of a 1920's vibe with beautiful decor throughout. Our breakfast came out piping hot, just like I like it and it was delicious! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Great breakfast place! They served the best coffee I've ever had at a sit-down restaurant and they are not skimpy with the food portions.

We stayed at the Hawthorne Hotel, so had breakfast here. This was a build-your-own two-egg omelette, accompanied by maple sausage and gluten-free toast. One of the BEST omelettes that I have ever had. There's a huge choice of fillings. I chose mushrooms, peppers, onions, and cheddar. Absolutely superb. The setting is lovely, and the service was wonderful.

So after some research, I thought that maybe the Tavern on the Green would work, also at the Hawthorne Hotel.

The 2 bartenders were nice and attentive but not overbearing. AJ was a service that I ended up talking to and she was the sweetest lady. The Calamari was excellent! The peppers added a the right amount of seasoning. The Hake Marsala was absolutely amazing. Great flavor, fish was light, and it was all nicely balanced. I don't have enough nice things to say about the food or the staff!

We were glad we did. We ordered the bread loaf, calamari appetizer, and the watermelon salad to start. The bread loaf was served warm and very fresh. The calamari was cooked fresh and did not last long on our table. The watermelon portion was very generous and tasty. My wife and I ordered the grilled salmon with Korean Koji BBQ glaze which came with stir fry veggies and Jasmine Rice. My wife and I both agreed it was the best salmon we have ever had in a restaurant. Served fresh, hot, and beyond tasty! The portion was generous and the rice and veggies were a great addition. My friend had the New England Clam chowder and lobster roll. The bowl of clam chowder was huge and he devoured it. The lobster roll was served Connecticut style and went down very easy. Coming from Colorado, he could not wait to get his hands on this regional cuisine. I can't speak for the rest of our table but nobody complained and there were many empty plates that went back to the kitchen. The service was excellent and friendly. The prices are very competitive for the area and nothing exorbitant. There are public parking lots located in the area. Highly recommend a visit.

The steak fries were hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Burger was juicy with double patties and good topping ratios on a decent bun that held together. Server was also the only bartender - she was attentive and friendly, and did a great job serving tables while tending to a busy bar of locals. Will definitely return to try the steak tips.

We just went in and dropped a worthy $80 on lunch - 2 tequila mules, a special of buffalo bites (if u are lucky and these are on special again - order them!). Chicken kabob sandwich - juicy, perfectly grilled chicken and my husband got the mouth-watering pastrami sandwich. We packed half of it up for dinner tonight. I only gave 4 stars due to the lousy, noisy, raunchy bar flies. They couldn't care less about other customers as they were shouting and cussing away. Having a conversation with my husband was impossible. The bartender, who was 5 stars in her service to us, attempted to remind these people to stop yelling. I understand being a local, as I am one, and it makes me want to keep my favorite places in business. However, disruptive and rude bar flies should be shut out ff earlier and asked to leave or at the very least pipe down. Ultimately, I highly recommend anyone local or out of town to try The Tin Whistle for the food and service. Maybe try one of the tall comfy wooden booths would make for a better atmosphere.
