The only saving grace for this hotel is the front desk person, she was extremely nice, super pleasant and accommodating. The hotel needs a LOT of maintenance and deep cleaning. The inside of the door was all grimy and dirty, the lampshade right over the coffee maker is full of dust and grime, It looks like it hasn't been cleaned for decades, there was a hole in the bathroom wall and the bathroom tiles were loose so when you stepped on them it pinched and cut the skin on your feet, the walls were all dinged up, the electrical outlets were covered in dirt, dust and dead ants, we found beer bottle caps on side of bed, the pillows are a laughable joke, thin as a pancake and lumpy, they should just throw them all away. On the bottom floor there are thick curtains on the front window, but no sheer curtains so you can't open your front window curtains without people constantly walking by and peering in your room. They have very bright security lights in front of the doors, they light up your room all night long, even with the thicker curtains on the windows, bathrooms don't have a hairdryer and the ones that do they don't work. You can see the pretty pine trees in the back of the hotel but it's not in a great area. There's a bunch of homeless people living up on the hill by an abandoned strip mall that's right by the hotel . All it would take is a little touch up paint and a LOT of elbow grease to clean the place up.

This is our first time going to Apple Hill and we wanted a no frills hotel for one night. This place exceeded our expectation. The location is great, right off the 50. I called them a few hours before we arrived to let them know we were checking in late, and the young man on the phone told us the office closed at 11pm and to call back if we were going to be in later to make arrangements for us to get the keys. The same young man checked us in. He was very polite and informative. My husband and I hold good customer service in high regard since it's so rare now a days. Our room was on the 1st floor. The parking lot is well lit and clean. The room is also clean and comfy. We would stay here again.

Remodeled. Very comfortable. Everything in working order. Hot, good pressure water. Bathtub. Soap and package shampoo. Hairdryer. Room 14. 20 min to rafting. Breakfast includes coffee, tea, packaged danish, and bananas. Smidgen of traffic noise. Refrig, microwave, and coffee maker. Double queen size beds. Nice people who runs it. Near roadway. Didn't have a chance to explore. In and out. Nearby coffee shop plus grocery outlet.

We checked in after 6pm, so check in instructions were texted to us. Easy to follow. Was easy to find. We stopped at Wally's Pizza for dinner in Cameron Park based off their restaurant suggestions on their website and sent via text check in instructions. Great suggestion! The next mornings breakfast is texted the night before, offering some options like juice preference. And it's delivered around 9am the next morning. Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh. We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning. The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!

I like ice cream when I vacation but no place to store. The facility is in Superb condition. The rooms are Stupendous, the one we had anyway. Very nice excellent air conditioning. The outdoor tub was outstanding. To top things off you can control everything from your normal switch plates/light switch. I would highly recommend this place but be Very Leary of the Pond that you should Not be swimming in. This review is from a 10 year Elite/Black badge. I sure hope this assists someone

Good breakfast and nice staff Adjacent to freeway and shopping center. Cons: This hotel really needs to be renovated and remodeled. I can't help it report that this is not your average was actually a bit yucky and of course they had the signs up. That's like excuse our dust, but the problem was not related to dust except for maybe some nose dust that The Proprietor's are sniffing. my first complaint is that the electric vehicle charging is ridiculously expensive for level two. Unless you are on 10% or less battery at the time of arrival, it probably would not make sense financially to charge here. They charge $20 to charge overnight and that is simply outrageous. Drive down to the El Dorado County sheriffs office and you can charge for free on their clipper chargers. That's just about a mile south of this hotel. No, the next thing is ice: there's an ice machine on floor one, but it doesn't work and it's not labeled as such which immediately in still panic in me when I realized that my hotel room libations may have to be consumed room temperature. Horror! Next up: Jacuzzi: the Jets are incredibly weak such that I didn't even think they were on when I went over to the little knob that you have to power up to get anything at all. I'm sorry, but unless I was desperate, I would not come to this hotel again thank you very much

In the casino area, they offer free self-serve drinks, which is convenient. They also have Apex, which was new to me, featuring a bowling alley and go karts, perfect for some added fun during your stay! The food at apex grill was decent as well. My only complaint is that I wish the pool was a little bigger and the buffet is a nice touch as well, but I did see flies in the dessert area which threw me off.

The front desk crew were super nice and helpful. When we were staying here there was a road closure due to snow storms, so people were scrambling to get rooms for the night. We already had reservations, and didn't have to worry. They gave us a fantastic room on the 6th floor number 607 (yes, laugh at the "6-7" joke). It was large with a king bed and a great view of the valley. All rooms are non smoking which is good as the casino is not. Rooms are reasonably priced during the week, but I feel they are overpriced on the weekends.

No breakfast at all as advertised. False advertisement is grounds for legal action. I'm a traveling musician and checked in to my room, upon check-in I spoke with the lady at the front desk who after I told her I was a musician she immediately gave me the stank eye, and I could completely feel the judgment from her body motions. She acted very suspicious of me almost blaming me for having other people who are going to sleep there, which wasn't the case at all. Then she l ask me accusatorial way if I had a dog. Then she said, do you even have a car? Of course, I had a car. The next day, I was about to check out and got a call from her saying that the housekeeper smelled marijuana in my room. The housekeeper never came into my room. The housekeeper was banging on my door at nine in the morning hence checkout at 11. I opened the door a very small crack and she was standing several feet from the door and I said I'll be out at 11. I know she didn't like that. The whole marijuana thing came from just judgment and profiling me having long hair and her knowing that she could try to charge me a deposit for her already nasty ass room. The front desk owner lady had already made all this up and the housekeeper never said anything about marijuana. The beds are dilapidated. The carpet is disgusting. The room looks like a prison cell. The plumbing doesn't work, sinks are all stopped up. The bed I swear was from 1965. The curtains and decor looked like something from that 70s show. The curtains had to be 50 years old. They have springs in the mattress. You couldn't find a bed like this if you tried. Worst sleep ever!!! I told the lady I don't smoke marijuana and I don't know what the hell she's talking about. I never had any marijuana anywhere near her motel. Her husband got on the phone and started trying to talk to me about marijuana, and I told him I've never even met him and he's never even been to the room that I was in while I was in it. They have a slew of reviews on yelp that are terrible and explain how horrible this man and woman are. This business will not be here in 10 years. I called the bank, stopped payment on my bank card. I'm considering taking legal action against these people for harassment. Do yourself a favor and keep on trucking past that hell hole they call a motel.
