Loved staying at The Seasons! Robyn was a wonderful hostess, and the home/grounds are really pretty, it feels like staying in a nice home (with cool history!). This is the perfect place to stay in Placerville - the location couldn't be better (walking distance to everything you'd want to see downtown but on a quiet, leafy street with easy parking). Some of the rooms are pet-friendly, and even our large German Shepherd was made to feel right at home - Robyn kindly allowed him to run around the gardens freely, which he loved. She has a long history with the Humane Society and is genuinely happy to have a pet around, so we really felt comfortable and welcome. Robyn has an excellent eye for detail - from really pretty accessories everywhere to some Chanel toiletries and rose-scented hand soap, I really appreciated all of the interesting/nice little details (check out the photos I added). The grounds and the home are really well taken care of. No TVs in the rooms, but we enjoyed sitting in the garden talking and reading. Breakfast was delicious! We had two different quiche flavors to choose from (meat and vegetarian - the goat cheese vegetarian was my favorite). Most of the food was local (cider from Apple Hill, Placervillian cherries, etc.) and just so, so yummy. Having breakfast in the garden was a really wonderful start to the day. There were always newspapers and magazines in various locations, as well (again - nice details). We shared tips about cool things to do in the area with two other guests, and Robyn had plenty of fun stories to tell, as well. Everything is just in fantastic condition, looks great, feels welcoming, and makes you comfortable right away. I'd definitely stay at The Seasons again!

Outside of the seasons on August 31, still pretty grounds despite the drought!

My wife and I were married here in 2007, and we were in the area after 7 years. I was glad to see the Seasons was still a B&B and holding weddings. I have never stayed overnight, but our family did and really enjoyed the site. The location is perfect for a wedding, especially if you want to be outside in the summer. It's was much cooler than Sacramento, and only about 45 minutes. Great location that was easy for family, reasonably priced but most importantly is the fact that the owner handled south and helped us out making sure we were prepared.

Amazing that you can get this kind of accommodations at this price. Room was great, food was delicious and the hostess was very friendly.

We really enjoyed taking photos in the beautiful backyard!

Excellent, quiet, inviting. We loved the separate cottages & breakfast on the porch outside our cottage. The owner was very friendly.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying with Bill and Bonnie a couple weeks back. What a "gem"…read moreas they say. When we pulled up (and into a gated property) Bill greeted us from the deck. We met inside where Bonnie checked us in real quick. Then we got a tour with Bill. He is sooo super friendly and kind. Just a genuinely nice host. Some people act nice but it is professionally cordial. I didn't feel that with Bill, or Bonnie. (Sorry don't mean to leave her out ) Bill gave us great recommendations for wineries and we were able to wine taste with fee waived at 2 wineries we visited. We also got discounts on wine! The places were so chill and relaxing. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing, just what we wanted. I texted Bonnie a few times and she always got back to me super fast. Bonnie also is a wonderful baker and she made a super nice breakfast each day. Bill would refill your OJ and tell you to have a seat as he got coffee refills. When Bonnie was done cooking she came out and then I got to pick her brain about our meals. I love talking food . She was really nice as well and easy to talk to. They are literally around the corner from Abels Farms and are right in the heart of apple hill. Both wineries were no more than a mile away. Rooms are decorated very cute, with different themed rooms. All the amenities are there. Robes and slippers in the closet, a hot tub in a gazebo, and the room was nicely renovated with quality materials used. Super great stay and I recommend them highly.

I found…read moreit in 2025 while searching for a place to celebrate my husband's and my 25th anniversary. We had booked another location we thought we loved, but it didn't feel right. For the second night, I chose Davies Family Inn purely by chance--drawn in by the idea of what they offered. We drove in completely unaware that we were about to discover what would become our gemstone, our true getaway. The property is deeply tranquil and serene. Evenings are spent around fire pits with a glass of wine, surrounded by silence except for the sounds of nature. We've baked apple pies from their orchard, enjoyed endless peaceful nights under the stars, and--by the generous allowance of the property owners--explored the land on their ATV simply to wander and take it all in. What truly sets this place apart is the people. Linda and her husband Jim make you feel like family. When I call and say I need a getaway, they always find a way--even during blackout dates. That kind of care is rare and meaningful. Trisha, who maintains the property, is phenomenal, and the grounds are always immaculate. This is a very, very gorgeous retreat tucked right in the middle of Placerville, yet it feels worlds away. Part of me wants to keep it a secret--but it deserves to be known. If you're looking for peace, warmth, and a place that truly stays with you, this is it.

Linda was so great and easy to reach if we had any questions or concerns, and was very hands on during the reception. She was extremely helpful. The bartender Beka was so sweet and did an amazing job. Everyone absolutely loved her! The cabins were very clean and so cozy. Having everything all in one place for the wedding was so much less stress and Shadow Ridge Ranch was the best place to do it. I can't thank them enough for making our day so beautiful, special and fun. The reception was a BLAST and we danced the night away. The way that the property is set up was perfect! It is a weekend that my husband and I will remember forever. Thank you all again SO much!!

She gave me a cheaper room and told me the other one was booked already. I decided just to keep the room because it was late and I was tired. I went to sleep and the next morning I stepped on four nails that were on the floor right when you walk into the bathroom. My foot started to bleed everywhere. I told the manager and he told me to nail them in with hammers, he said the "nails wernt that big" I will post photos of the nail but not my foot I did show the manager both. His words were "it's bs that I was worried about the nail I then pulled out photos of my foot and started arguing with me. After 30 minutes of arguing, he told me that we could have a different room for another night for free. I woke up the next morning and saw that he charged us for the room twice. With three different deposits. I will be contacting the health department because this place has many health code violations Never stay here and never bring your children

The next morning, one of the cleaning guys came out to clean the room... a whole hour BEFORE checkout time. Another thing we noticed was that the fire alarm in the room was very close to falling off the ceiling. If someone were to get hurt, the motel owner would have a hefty lawsuit on their hands.
