Loved staying at The Seasons! Robyn was a wonderful hostess, and the home/grounds are really pretty, it feels like staying in a nice home (with cool history!). This is the perfect place to stay in Placerville - the location couldn't be better (walking distance to everything you'd want to see downtown but on a quiet, leafy street with easy parking). Some of the rooms are pet-friendly, and even our large German Shepherd was made to feel right at home - Robyn kindly allowed him to run around the gardens freely, which he loved. She has a long history with the Humane Society and is genuinely happy to have a pet around, so we really felt comfortable and welcome. Robyn has an excellent eye for detail - from really pretty accessories everywhere to some Chanel toiletries and rose-scented hand soap, I really appreciated all of the interesting/nice little details (check out the photos I added). The grounds and the home are really well taken care of. No TVs in the rooms, but we enjoyed sitting in the garden talking and reading. Breakfast was delicious! We had two different quiche flavors to choose from (meat and vegetarian - the goat cheese vegetarian was my favorite). Most of the food was local (cider from Apple Hill, Placervillian cherries, etc.) and just so, so yummy. Having breakfast in the garden was a really wonderful start to the day. There were always newspapers and magazines in various locations, as well (again - nice details). We shared tips about cool things to do in the area with two other guests, and Robyn had plenty of fun stories to tell, as well. Everything is just in fantastic condition, looks great, feels welcoming, and makes you comfortable right away. I'd definitely stay at The Seasons again!

Outside of the seasons on August 31, still pretty grounds despite the drought!

My wife and I were married here in 2007, and we were in the area after 7 years. I was glad to see the Seasons was still a B&B and holding weddings. I have never stayed overnight, but our family did and really enjoyed the site. The location is perfect for a wedding, especially if you want to be outside in the summer. It's was much cooler than Sacramento, and only about 45 minutes. Great location that was easy for family, reasonably priced but most importantly is the fact that the owner handled south and helped us out making sure we were prepared.

Amazing that you can get this kind of accommodations at this price. Room was great, food was delicious and the hostess was very friendly.

We really enjoyed taking photos in the beautiful backyard!

Excellent, quiet, inviting. We loved the separate cottages & breakfast on the porch outside our cottage. The owner was very friendly.

Good breakfast and nice staff Adjacent to freeway and shopping center. Cons: This hotel really needs to be renovated and remodeled. Interior hallway lobby and exterior look very old and rustic. $150 plus tax per night; pricey for older hotel. I hope this hotel gets upgraded sooner later.

I can't help it report that this is not your average was actually a bit yucky and of course they had the signs up. That's like excuse our dust, but the problem was not related to dust except for maybe some nose dust that The Proprietor's are sniffing. my first complaint is that the electric vehicle charging is ridiculously expensive for level two. Unless you are on 10% or less battery at the time of arrival, it probably would not make sense financially to charge here. They charge $20 to charge overnight and that is simply outrageous. Drive down to the El Dorado County sheriffs office and you can charge for free on their clipper chargers. That's just about a mile south of this hotel. No, the next thing is ice: there's an ice machine on floor one, but it doesn't work and it's not labeled as such which immediately in still panic in me when I realized that my hotel room libations may have to be consumed room temperature. Horror! Next up: Jacuzzi: the Jets are incredibly weak such that I didn't even think they were on when I went over to the little knob that you have to power up to get anything at all. I'm sorry, but unless I was desperate, I would not come to this hotel again thank you very much

Arrive at Mother Lode, office door has sign saying to check in at office next door motel. Go to that office, attendant is surprised at our name, goes to computer and on phone for 10 minutes, comes back says he has no idea how the reservation was made. Some dude came up while we were talking saying he just checked in and got a room. All in all felt like our room got sold and the attendant didn't offer much for an explanation. He literally asked us if we called the number and when I said I called it multiple times he said the power had gone out a few times. Stay in Folsom

No breakfast at all as advertised. False advertisement is grounds for legal action. I'm a traveling musician and checked in to my room, upon check-in I spoke with the lady at the front desk who after I told her I was a musician she immediately gave me the stank eye, and I could completely feel the judgment from her body motions. She acted very suspicious of me almost blaming me for having other people who are going to sleep there, which wasn't the case at all. Then she l ask me accusatorial way if I had a dog. Then she said, do you even have a car? Of course, I had a car. The next day, I was about to check out and got a call from her saying that the housekeeper smelled marijuana in my room. The housekeeper never came into my room. The housekeeper was banging on my door at nine in the morning hence checkout at 11. I opened the door a very small crack and she was standing several feet from the door and I said I'll be out at 11. I know she didn't like that. The whole marijuana thing came from just judgment and profiling me having long hair and her knowing that she could try to charge me a deposit for her already nasty ass room. The front desk owner lady had already made all this up and the housekeeper never said anything about marijuana. The beds are dilapidated. The carpet is disgusting. The room looks like a prison cell. The plumbing doesn't work, sinks are all stopped up. The bed I swear was from 1965. The curtains and decor looked like something from that 70s show. The curtains had to be 50 years old. They have springs in the mattress. You couldn't find a bed like this if you tried. Worst sleep ever!!! I told the lady I don't smoke marijuana and I don't know what the hell she's talking about. I never had any marijuana anywhere near her motel. Her husband got on the phone and started trying to talk to me about marijuana, and I told him I've never even met him and he's never even been to the room that I was in while I was in it. They have a slew of reviews on yelp that are terrible and explain how horrible this man and woman are. This business will not be here in 10 years. I called the bank, stopped payment on my bank card. I'm considering taking legal action against these people for harassment. Do yourself a favor and keep on trucking past that hell hole they call a motel.
